Over on the official forums there have been a number of posts from the blues concerning the Blizzard balance gift cards and the dungeon race occuring between teams from the US and EU. Make sure you're up-to-date!

For those of you that were excited to spend your evening watching the teams from Europe and the US battling through a brand new Legion dungeon, it looks like we might have to wait a bit longer. Blizzard have decided to postpone the race due to the re-introduction of the Overwatch Beta today. This will allow players to take part in playing the beta again while also watching the race. You can read all about the event on the official post here.

Blizzard Icon Update to Legion Dungeon Race

UPDATE: The Overwatch closed beta is returning on February 9. In order to allow our players and Twitch viewers to experience both events, we’ve rescheduled the Legion Alpha Dungeon Race to Thursday, February 11 at 3 p.m. Pacific time. We’ll see you then!

In other news, there has been further discussion of the Battle.net gift card issues in certain countries, such as Greece. Currently, there is no way for some players to pay for character services directly, since they cannot use their banking cards. One would assume that they could use a gift card to pay, but these are also not available in the countries affected. If you are wondering if your country is affected, make sure to check out the list of countries available to purchase the gift card in their last post. Players have long requested for these issues to be fixed and there was recently another update from Aerythlea on the EU forums.

Blizzard Icon Aerythlea on Battle.net Gift Cards

As a small update regarding the Battle.net Gift Cards general availability in Europe:

We hear and understand your frustrations over not being able to purchase the Battle.net Gift Card in some countries.

The Battle.net Gift Cards use a retail technology that may not be available at some storers. We are continuously working with our partners to identify retailers who use, or plan to use, the retail technology required to activate the Gift Cards.

Our current plans include Greece, Poland and Eastern Europe, where we are already working with our partners to bring these cards to retail within the coming months.

Rest assured that our aim is to have the Gift Card available to purchase by everyone, regardless of country. We don’t want anyone to be left out.

Please excuse us for the delays, we’re working diligently to resolve them as fast as we can.

Our last post from the official forums is in regards to the release of the latest patch to the PTR: Patch 6.2.4. While there is currently very little being added with this patch, one would assume that Blizzard are going to be working to bring more content to the patch. You can check out the current notes here.

Embers of War is a new cinematic released by Blizzard to go with Battle for Azeroth. It's a combination of all cinematics previewed so far including Bwonsamdi, Jaina's return to Kul Tiras, the Horde intro to Zandalar, and the final Battle for Lordaeron cutscene.
Lines have been drawn between the Horde and Alliance, loyalties tested, and the war between the factions has begun in earnest. The race is on to recruit new allies and gather a new powerful resource – Azerite. Will you heed the call of battle?

We have another interesting interview with Principal Exterior Level Designer Gary Platner and In-game Cinematic Project Director Terran Gregory by VG247. Check out the highlights!
Check out the full interview over at VG247.
      Interview Highlights
Alex Afrasiabi designed Battle for Azeroth like it would be the last expansion; they didn't hold back, went for the mega, and seized the day on design. Terran is really sad that gnomes didn't make an appearance in the cinematics, but CGI has its limitations to how many characters can be created. Siege of Lordaeron included more characters than any other Blizzard CGI film before. It's Blizzard's mission to tell the most compelling and emotional story that they can. Making everyone enjoy the story in the same way is an impossible goal. With the release of Warbringers: Sylvanas, Horde players started to show their discontent. There's even been one extreme case of targeted harassment aimed at Christie Golden. Creating a story that revolves around an all-out war required bold decisions. They knew the reactions to the burning of Teldrassil would be passionate, but they did exceed their expectations. Storytelling is about highs and lows. Old Soldier would not have resonated so well without Warbringers: Sylvanas. WoW is a living, breathing game. The team's always looking for ways to improve it. They'll support WoW for as long as the players continue to give them support. From a story perspective, they wondered how great an end WoW would need to have. It's an evergreen franchise that they've maintained like a "carefully-tended bonsai tree."
