Gosac with as mastery > crit > haste ? (destro)

Recommended Posts

Used it on our Megaera heroic kill this week, worked very well as you can see:

Although I did have haste gems.

You performed well with Grimoire of Sacrifice because you used Ember consuming abilities more than single target (spamming Shadowburn on low health adds). Grim of Sac with a Mastery-heavy build will generate increased numbers when a majority of your damage comes from Shadowburn and Chaos Bolt. This doesn't, however, mean that you should use Mastery and Grim of Sac single target.

As Zagam says, Mastery/Sac build for Destro is focusing in Aoe and Cleave dmg, in Single target fights, it losts your value.

While it's true it's not good on "Patchwerk" single target, there really aren't any of those in Throne of Thunder.

On those fights where destruction is good there are usually either damage buffs (Jin'rokh, Ji-Kun etc.) or many adds to generate large ammounts of embers (Horridon, Megaera etc.), making GoSac an excellent choice.

On the fights where that's not the case it's probably better to play another spec (e.g. Council of Elders ).

GoSup for Destruction is better though on fights like Durumu, Iron Qon and maybe Lei Shen.

This is why you should always carry at least a hundred Tomes of the Clear Mind. I thank the heavens they put an item like this in, not requiring gold and going back to town to respec per fight which is almost necessary.
