Cha-Ye's Essence of Brilliance vs Woosholay and Volatile Talisman

Recommended Posts

I'm a PVE Frost Mage. Using AskMrRobot to find upgrades, it lists the LFR (iLvl 502) verson of Cha-Ye's Essence of Brilliance http://www.wowhead.com/item=95772 as an upgrade from the (iLvl 502) LFR Woosholay's Final Choice and Volatile Talisman of the Shado-Pan Assault (iLvl 522).

This is somewhat puzzling. In fact, if I do a find best in bag query it recommends Cha-Ye and Woosholay trinkets.

Being that the stat preference, in order, is Int > hit (to cap) > Haste > Crit, I don't understand how the crit on Cha-Ye is preferred over the Int on the Volatile Talisman.

Any thoughts ?

Check again with MrRobot (I assue you are frost) im sure it is making you reforge the crit to haste. making it quite a good trinket. Also check if you have "absolute" or "relative" checked as those factors can completely change the item rankings.

Mr Robot's "best in bags" feature is awesome. 10$ for a year... well spent imo.

if you have Wushoolay's Final Choice, you NEVER want to get rid of this as raid finder, normal and heroic version are the best trinks for frost, you always want to keep it once you get it and replace it when you get the next mode up version.

I tried out the robot recommended combo of Cha-Ye and Wushoolay and found the effect uninspiring when compared to that of Volatile+Wushoolay.
