East, Always... into the East. -Marius in Diablo II

Well an interesting piece of Free-to-Play Diablo culture has just crept into our collective laps!

I would imagine that many Diablo 3 players, such as myself, are extremely curious about the "other" Diablo. The other Diablo being the totally Free-to-Play version made for the Chinese market. Many of us have heard the tales of being able to buy stash space, or a set of crazy wings. Well, Reddit user Apspd has managed to provide the Diablo community with some detailed pictures of the mythical shop.

What will probably strike many of you is the radically different look that most of the cosmetics have from those which we have in the paid Diablo. The wings, pennants and portrait frames look foreign (probably not a pun) and interesting. AIt is always the allure of what you cannot have I suppose.

The original Reddit thread can be found here and I have linked the albums containing all the images below.

Wings

Stash and XP Boost

Pets, Pennants and Portraits Oh My!

So what do you, the players, think about these transactions being offered? Would you happily throw money at the screen to have this option? Let us know in the comments below!

I would love micro-transactions, however, Blizzard has already confirmed it will -not- be coming to NA or EU servers. sad.png

Is where I originally seen the update that it won't...luckily the post is 12+ months old, so maybe one day...

Maybe Diablo 4 will have it! ;)

Blizzard always love giving absolutes (WE WILL NEVER DO X) and then going back on it later on. As the mighty Justin Bieber would say:

Never say never!

As some expected, Diablo 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. There was a bit of a leak today, as Forbes published an article that was scheduled for release tomorrow and then quickly took it down, but Kotaku caught the leak.
Unfortunately this is probably one of the "several Diablo projects" Nevalistis mentioned in a teasing tweet a while ago, so it remains to be seen what else exactly we have to look forward to in the franchise and if there will be any significant new announcements at BlizzCon.
Meanwhile, the Switch edition, already released under the Eternal Collection for other platforms, will cost $59,99 and include all current content, meaning Reaper of Souls, Rise of the Necromancer and all other patches released so far, as well as a (presumably exclusive) armor set that looks like Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda. As appropriate for the Switch, the game will also have many co-op options, from 4 players playing on the same console, to each player playing on a separate Switch but without needing to be online, and then of course, a regular online mode.
Also, this is the first Blizzard game in 15 years to arrive on a Nintendo platform (with the last one being the "Blizzard's Classic Arcade" pack for the Gameboy Advance, including Rock 'n' Roll Racing, Blackthorne and Lost Vikings).
We'll get the official announcement tomorrow (presumably) and hopefully we'll get to see the Gangondorf armor look then.

Thanks to MMOChampion for catching the news.

Yesterday's leak proved correct and we now have all the info regarding the Diablo 3 Switch port! There's more cosmetics to be had in addition to the Ganondorf transmog, including wings, a portrait frame and Cucco pet!
And we can now finally see the Zelda themed transmog set, pet and portrait frame:

      And the aforementioned co-op functionality:

Check out the full details on the official page.
The Switch port brings a new pet, transmog and portrait frame, as well as impressive co-op options.

Blizzard confirmed they're working on multiple new Diablo projects and they will share more details later this year (probably at BlizzCon).
In the latest video about Diablo released on Youtube, Associate Community Manager Brandy "Nevalistis" Camel confirmed that the team's working on more Diablo projects and they'll have more information to share later this year. She also briefly mentions Themed Seasons and it's likely they'll come up with a new theme for Season 15.

Don't miss out on your chance to grab one!
The only thing more elusive than a Rainbow Goblin in game is a Rainbow Goblin in real life, but here's your chance to grab one!
To celebrate the Season of Greed, we are releasing a robust and thorough Goblin farming guide for your murderous, loot-craving pleasure! It will take you through a tried-and-tested goblin farming route, suggest some suitable builds and equipment adjustments for the purpose, and even shed some light on goblin farming metagame and etiquette.
But enough talk - it's your turn to take blade and spell to their mischievous hides! While using our route (or your own!), take a screenshot with your Season 14 character and a double goblin spawn - and post it in the comments below. Your post will act as an entry in a random raffle to win one of the 20 plush toys we will be giving away.

For the general rules of our giveaways, please refer to this post. The post-specific rules for this giveaway are as follows:
You need to be on a Seasonal character. Make sure we can see your character and the goblins in the screenshot. (Console players, do your best with the pause screen, if necessary - we understand it is slightly more difficult to do this than on PC.) The giveaway will end on July 2, 2018 at 23:59 CEST. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Winners will be chosen at random after the contest ends. Grab your guide, grab your nephalem and get finding! You might even be lucky enough to find a Rainbow Goblin in-game and outside - as Abd Al-Hazir put it - a ludicrous notion, truly!
This contest has now ended - winners will be contacted via PM once we have filtered spam entries, multiple entries and so on. Please note that this can take some time, but we will post here once everyone has been contacted.
