Single Target Rotation

Corruption, COA, Unstable Aff, Haunt ( used for opening, 2+ shards mid fight, and when boss health low), Drain Soul

-sometimes I use haunt every other rotation(after it depletes) to boost dps by 100   ticks or so, instead of waiting to have atleast 2 shards before utilizing haunt again

-I'm just now starting to routinely use dark soul:misery to boost haste whenever possible.

   - I don't utilize Demonic Circle nor Demonic Gateway

Hello to All Concerned,

I am new to posting topics on forums, but a veteran (since BC) in WoW. I took a break after early cata and came back in April. I will keep this short.

Avg Dps (via Recount): 22-24k

ilvl 698

Optimized enchants toward Haste. I am utilizing PVE/PVP gear for stats.

Overall, taking into concept the extra dps I could gain by using demon circ and gateway, I should not receive reports of 22k dps when I'm actually trying. I restart Recount as well as ask for others recount data and it all states the general area of 22-24k. Would someone with experienced eyes open mine.

Thanks in advance

S.N. Ive always wanted to be the best Warlock ever, I don't do alts because I haven't mastered my main. I feel that if I can be considered one of the top wow players I can help those who are in my position now. Make sense?

You have taken Haunting Spirits as your level 100 talent yet on Socrethar you had an uptime of 5% on the buff and on Iskar you had 6%.

Now, in your current gear I'd say that you should probably be speccing into Demonic Servitude and using the Doomguard til you get comfortable, however if you want to stick with Haunting Spirits then you need to get into the habit of aiming for as close to 100% uptime as possible, whilst still maintaining regular haunt debuff during cooldowns. This will take some getting used to and preparation.

To help with this, you're going to want to be using addons such as Weakauras. Do you use any addons?

I do utilize add-ons but none warlock specific. I will definitely change this to where im at least using weakauras. as far as maintaining haunt, since i do want to keep the talent, would it be better to sacrifice Glyph of Siphon Life, for Glyph of Soul Swap to not only save a soul shard (technically, according to the soul shard recharge rate and supposed left over .35% of a shard)** but to maintain "buffed" dot ticks via the SoulBurn:Haunt talent?

**i researched that information from other topics that mentioned using weakauras as well before posting this topic. you solidified that i DO need the add-on.

...what?

You basically don't use SS at all really, like...ever. It is a very small gain to use once you have really good gear to get your dots out faster in the opener, but outside of that it is basically never touched.

You don't aim to maintain Haunt, you aim to maintain the buff from SB:Haunt. If  you can also keep haunt up it is a huge plus, but it isn't something you actively try to do if it means sacrificing other things.

You need 2 Soul Shards every 30 seconds for SB:H, getting those shards in suck gear is very hard. Once you get about 720ilvl and your HFC 4pc it will be HUGELY easier to do and make Aff a lot more valuable.

Since this topic says gear optimization in the title I'll write in here. I am conflicted on whether I should be gemming/enchanting haste or mastery. I see haste with a high value at my gear level(740) yet I feel like my numbers are better when I go full mastery rather than full haste. Any suggestions? http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/hyjal/Roblinz/advanced

Haste is the best Aff single target stat, mastery is the best multi-dot. Since there isn't many purely single target fights in HFC and you don't always want to play Aff on every fight and Mastery is the best Destro and Demo stat, most people run pure mastery so they can do everything all the time.

However, if you want to run two sets of gear or regem for every other fight, you can.

TL;DR, gem/enchant mastery.

Guild: Dawn of the Dead | http://www.dotd.org   Faction: Horde | Server: Zul'jin (PvE) | Timezone: EST   Current Progression: 8/9M BoD | 2/2H CoS | 8/8M Uldir CE   We've been raiding max size raids continuously since WoW has been released and are the only guild to have done so here on Zul'jin. We have strong leadership, no drama, and plans to keep raiding for years to come. Unlike many guilds, we're not recruiting for the short term, and we don't over-recruit.   Website: www.dotd.org
Raid Times: Our schedule is 8-11 EST Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.   Needs: We are a small guild, and we expect high attendance. As such, we recruit people to raid, and desire people who can step in and contribute immediately. We don’t recruit people to sit around, so all spots are for raiders who can expect to be in most every raid.   We are currently looking to add skilled and reliable:
Ranged DPS: High: Shadow Priest, Mage Medium: Warlock 1 Healer:
      High: Resto Shaman, Mistweaver Monk

*ALL exceptional applicants will be considered regardless of the class.   What we ask of you:   Effort: Not all applicants come from highly progressed guilds, and that’s okay, but it does mean that you need to be prepared. We recruit the player, not the gear, but we do ask that you have some current experience. You need to have the best gear available to you with top end enchants and gems where available. You also need to be able to display an understanding of your class mechanics, role in a raid, and ability to learn new fights.   Attitude: It’s a game. We play for fun. How you fit in with the guild is taken very seriously. We’re a bunch of mostly 18-30 guys and girls who have fun playing together. While we have a good time, we also know when it’s time to buckle down and work hard.   Skill: The best way to determine skill is to see you in a raid. Because we don’t wish to have anyone transfer that we’re not serious about, be able to express your knowledge of your class and why you’re an exceptional player who would be an asset and is worth a shot. Gear will come with time. Skill will not. Impress us with your knowledge of your class and gameplay mechanics. Feel free to share any logs, theorycrafting, or other work you've done.   Commitment: We make a commitment to you, and ask you to do the same to us. A raid takes a team of more than 20 individuals working together. We rely on you to show up to raids, research your class and new fights, respect your fellow players, and notify us when you are unavailable. You rely on us for gear, experience, and coordination. It's a large investment of our time to train and gear new players, and we ask the same investment on your part so that we can each benefit.   We have a variety of informational resources available to prospective applicants on our web site: http://www.dotd.org-- please refer to our "Applications" forum for detailed information. Also feel free to visit us on WoWProgresss for more information and kill videos! http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/us/...wn+of+the+Dead   Should you wish to speak to someone in-game, please don't hesitate to reach out to an officer directly, whisper Alloren (Alloren#1606), Xanah (Xana#1662) or Jeare (Jeare#1759).   We look forward to hearing from you soon!
