GnomeSequencer Single Target Macro for BM Huntard, by macro noob please help.

Recommended Posts

Hi All, was looking for some help as I am a bit of a macro noob, so I found this addon 'GnomeSequencer' that enables one to use a much more detailed macro, this is for those of you that know and use it, I rearranged this to use in raid / instance runs, I left out Barrage on purpose, don't want to pull the whole room. Question  is this a good sequence or are there any better suggestions / fix / opinions / suggestions regarding this? Please share your thoughts.

Short version: No.

Long Version:  Learn to play the class correctly and not to rely on a macro.  Yes, I'm serious.  If I'm reading this correctly, this will have you use Concussive Shot every 10 presses (which does 0 damage), gives you 0 control over your focus in regards to building/saving/dumping focus, 0 control over Focus Fire, etc.  Trying to rely on 1-button macro's is poor form and is no substitute to learning to play correctly, not to mention that a macro can't make the types of decisions that a human can (deciding to save focus for high-priority targets, knowing to dump focus during cooldowns, Kill Shot sniping low health targets, etc).

Isn't it boring to press only one button?

Sometimes I feel like a piano-player which plays a wonderful song.

But my results aren't sound, they are Damage!!

Playing the Hunter isn't sience, you have to pracrise and place your buttons on the right place in your bars.

If you're doing this, you'll become a much better player.

Press-the-Button-Sugar-Babes aren't good players! :D

Both of your comments are true, I am a returning player and was just using to smash through the grind until flight stat in WOD, I did however find it necessary and true that smash don't work in well in dungeon runs and did regroup my buttons for clicky play,  Now using my MM for dungeon, however I am still enjoying the story line and the lone wolf guild less game play for now,

I am using elvui for my layout with minimum addons, got two nice groups of buttons in the lower center of the screen, 3 wide 4 deep for all my shots, thanks again for your advice, it was refreshing and brought me back to reality, however saber grind is  still on macro clicky   lol
