Specifically I'm wondering which would be better between 880 whispers in the dark - 870 erratic metronome- 875 pharamere's forbidden grimoire  (with socket)- 865 swarming plaguehive (with socket)- and 940 kil'jaeden's burning wish.

Whispers/KJ.

Does the Soul Harvest talent work like other cooldowns for Warlocks, in that when you cast, say all your trinket procs, potions and then use Soul Harvest before casting something like Grimoire: Imp? Just trying to figure out if I should wait a bit and cast Soul Harvest and then my other cooldowns for a larger burst window.

You'll want to set up your imp etc. prior to popping SH for maximum effect.

We are currently in the process of updating our guides in preparation for the release of 7.2 - please understand that we will not be answering questions in this section about "What is better for 7.2?" prior to the patch release, since all the information will be available when the patch goes live. Please be patient and thanks for waiting!

Hey there,

Concerning the boss by boss strategies: dont you recommend using the legendary odr for wreak havoc?

Hoping your answer is "No", since I have the other Two recommended ledgys. XD

Under "Rotation, Cooldowns, and Abilities" "2.4. Soul Shard Generation and Consumption" it lists shadowburn as consuming a soul shard but it generates a soul shard.

The guide has a line that Eradication may be the best choice when using Feretory of Souls with T19 2-piece and a high Haste build. I have all of the above, and it does work, but there's also something to be said for Reverse Entropy with Soul Conduit too. The Shard generation is really impressive. You can get into these crazy burn phases where you are literally spamming Chaos Bolt, sometimes 10 in a row. I had one pull on High Botanist Tel'arn where Chaos Bolt did 60% of my damage.

If you can take advantage of it, then yes, definitely. It's incredibly strong where Wreak Havoc works well.

Will pass this on to Furty, see what he says - I don't play Warlock, so I can't really comment :p

It's probably not the top DPS choice, but it certainly is fun. The main thing you'd have to worry about with Eradication is needing to tap, and it's really not that bad. In 5 mans you hardly ever need to tap because you recover mana during the downtime. In a continuous raid encounter you spend maybe 4-5% of your GCD's tapping which still makes it a DPS gain given the 12% damage boost. But with the further reduced cast time with RE and never having to tap, that's stupid fun.

The key is really Soul Conduit. It makes a huge difference especially if you are able to multi-dot Immolate.

none of the guides have the actual weights anymore. The reason is that legion really borked with secondary stats both at launch and with patches. The issue is that depending on gear, legendary items, trinkets, etc, your stat values will bounce around rapidly. Like literally one piece change will make sims value a different stat one hundred fold. So while there are typically break points to shoot for (which for destruction I don't know) the atypically weight value system thing is pretty much dead. People are highly encouraged to self sim.

Just to add to Demon's comment:

If you are unsure of how to sim, you can always check out our Hunter Guide writer's video on it:

I was wondering what your opinions of askmrrobot.com are concerning the best in bag features and their sim tool. I tend to get results that contradict the information in your guide. Particularly with legendary suggestions and stat priority.

When should I refresh Immolate? Just right before it expires or can I refresh it earlier? I didn't know if after a certain amount of time, the remaining damage from the buff carries over to the new one.

As far as I am aware, none of our guide writers use the AMR tool - they use SimCraft instead, as do most theorycrafters that provide information for the game. I don't use it myself and so I can't really explain the outputs it gives, I'm sorry. Have you tested it using SimC?

The trinket section seems very out of date?

It is, yes - I would expect an update that will include ToS as soon as .2.5 comes out. I'm sorry that there hasn't been an update to it recently, but the BiS is up-to-date on what to aim for!

If you are using Roaring Blaze, focus on making sure that your Immolate buffed by Conflag stays on for as long as possible and that you don't overwrite it without another Conflag to buff it. Otherwise, you just maintain as required for the buff to stay on the target.

      🤠(Author's introduction)🤠

Introduction: Before I begin I want to clarify that I am an old explorer and curious connoisseur of these players who dedicated their lives for years to a style of play within WoW, known as WoW F2P, I want to clarify the doubt of who this person is and what he came to represent and what he continues to represent today for level 20 communities, looking for information and more information I can say that this is the summarized result of this player known as Saruski, also known by other nicknames with which I will also be willing to better summarize this matter.

👀 (What were the beginnings?) 👀

Beginnings: Saruski started playing WoW around 2012 or 2013, but officially dedicated herself to the F2P playstyle in 2014.
She has videos on her YouTube channel where she talks about her early experiences in WoW F2P, including her time in the Alliance and later joining the Horde. These videos provide some insight into her beginnings in the game and how she became involved with the F2P community.
      👀 (What's it called?) 👀

Name and character: Saruski, whose real name is Andrea, is a recognized figure in the World of Warcraft (WoW) community, specifically among players who play for free (F2P).

👀 (What is it known for?) 👀

Pioneering the F2P community: Saruski founded and led the first international WoW F2P community on the Blizzard app. This provided a central hub for F2P players to connect, share information, and organize groups.
Advocating for F2P players: She has been a vocal advocate for F2P players, highlighting their achievements and contributions to the WoW community.
Creating content: Saruski has created videos and content to share her knowledge and experiences with the F2P community.

👀 (What does Saruski mean for WoW F2P?) 👀

Community building: Her leadership in creating the first international F2P community helped to legitimize and unify the F2P player base.
Inspiration and representation: Saruski has shown that F2P players can achieve a high level of play and contribute meaningfully to the WoW community.
Education and guidance: Her content has helped many F2P players learn the ropes and improve their gameplay.

👀 (When did he retire?) 👀

Retirement: While Saruski retired from WoW in 2020, her contributions to the F2P community remain significant. She is remembered as a pioneer, leader, and advocate for F2P players.
Saruski, a prominent figure in the WoW F2P community, while no specific reason was publicly stated, she did create a video titled "Wow Saruski Official F2p: End Of Story | 2013-2020 (English And Spanish)" which you can find on YouTube.

      👀 (Final summary) 👀

Summarizing: There are many players today who deserve high recognition, but it could be said that Saruski is the most well-known player and the one who marked a before and after in WOW F2P, given her career in the game and on the internet some people call her the legend of WOW F2P, but there is nothing official to call someone like that, therefore that is up to each person's discretion.
      End...

We have another triple entry in the hotfix ledger, as Radiant Echoes gets more improvements in retail, while Season of Discovery and Cata Classic get additional class changes.
       August 7  (Source)
      Player-characters
Steady Flight should no longer be removed after entering an Arena. Quests
We tuned up the Prototype Shredder MK-03 so that “Eye for an Eye” can be completed. Radiant Echoes Event
Increased Flightstone and upgrade Crest drop rates in the event. Reduced the HP scaling on all event bosses so that they should be killable in a more-reasonable timeframe. Developers’ notes: This includes both ‘minibosses’ (e.g. Hogger, Thorim) and final bosses (e.g. Remembered Onyxia, Ragnaros). Season of Discovery
Hunter Heart of the Lion once again has a 100 yard range. Warrior The Focused Rage rune will now correctly reduce the cost of Meathook by 3. Cataclysm Classic
Fixed an issue where Faerie Fire did not deal intended amounts of threat when used on NPCs targeting another unit.

Due to a bug introduced with the War Within pre-patch, some players are receiving item level 250 gear from the weekly cache.
We've seen numerous reports on Reddit and the official forums that the Last Hurrah weekly quest on live servers drop low-level gear for some players. Apparently, the bug was first introduced with the War Within pre-patch two weeks ago and still hasn't been fixed.
Here's an example of a low item level drop from the Cache of Awakened Treasures by Omnifox.
