A new round of hotfixes, bringing a few class changes, is now live. Let's check them out!

Most classes received some tweaks today. Moreover, Mists of Pandaria world bosses Galleon and Oondasta will now respawn every 15 minutes, making it easier to farm them for their respective mounts. Here are the notes:

August 1

Hotfixes

Classes

Death Knight

  • Clawing Shadows damage reduced by 25%. PvP damage unchanged.
  • Scourge Strike now deals both physical and shadow damage to multiple targets when the Unholy Death Knight is standing in their own Death and Decay.

Druid

  • Displacer Beast will apply its speed buff even if Dash is active (they do not stack).
  • Fixed a bug which allowed certain macros to bypass the cooldown on returning to the same Shapeshift form you just shifted out of.

Hunter

  • Raptor Strike will now correctly apply Viper Sting or Scorpid Sting based on the talent chosen.
  • Dragonsfire Grenade now deals damage starting on impact.
  • Binding Shot now gives the affected target immunity from Binding Shot for 10 seconds, as intended.
  • The tooltip for Aspect of the Eagle has been corrected to reflect the bonus the spell provides. In addition, the bonus provided by Aspect of the Eagle now stacks with mastery.

Mage

  • (Work in progress) Flame Patch damage has been significantly reduced. A previous hotfix to solve a bug with Flame Patch not dealing damage while the Mage was casting effectively increased its performance, and today’s change returns it to approximately the intended performance level.

Monk

  • Blackout Kick should not have a cooldown for Windwalker Monks at any level.
  • Blackout Strike’s cooldown is now correctly reduced by Haste.

Paladin

  • The tooltip for Judgment no longer incorrectly states that it hits 2 additional targets for paladins without Greater Judgment.
  • Shield of the Righteous is now available at level 24.

Warlock

  • Phantom Singularity damage has been doubled.
  • Rain of Fire should no longer close your loot window when it does damage.

Warrior

  • Whirlwind now hits the correct number of extra targets when modified by Meat Cleaver.
  • Focused Rage is now learned at level 44 (was 52).

Garrisons

  • The Garrison Strategic Assault options should again be properly randomized from day to day.

Quests

  • During “To the Rescue!”, Brutusk should no longer stop before completing his path.
  • Linen-Wrapped Book can now be interacted with by multiple players at a time during the quest “Grandma’s Lost It Alright”.

UI

  • Lockboxes can again be opened via Pick Lock in the “will not be traded” section of the trade window.

World Bosses

  • Galleon and Oondasta now respawn after 15 minutes.

Zones

  • Many missing fish have been returned, and players can again fish in the Human, Night Elf, Orc, Tauren, Blood Elf, and Draenei starting zones.
  • Corrected an issue that could cause players in mixed-server groups to periodically warp back to recent locations (aka “rubberbanding”).

NOOOOOOOOOO THE CLAWING SHADOWS NERF!!!!!!! we knew it was coming. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. i don't want to actually follow class mechanics. even then why no pvp nerf? it was probably more devastating there.

This supports my conspiracy theory that blizz will never let DK's be top dps again XD. Hero class get to be strong for their intro expansion and never again. At least this time we had fun for a week instead of the two days we had when HFC launched XD.

The judgement info was wrong after all... I swore no additional damage was ticking.  Guess I was right.

Although there were times that I swore I had two targets tagged with the debuff.  Apparently upon that assumption I was NOT right.

...wait, what? Since when does it do that? Rampage and Bloodthirst are affected by Meat Cleaver, not Whirlwind. Whirlwind *procs* Meat Cleaver.

I know this wasn't Icy-veins wording, but please correct me if I'm missing something...

The whirlwind and meat cleaver interaction has to be a typo. I do know i bug reported blood thirst and raging blow because they were not getting their extra hits in from meat cleaver.

Senior Art Director Samwise Didier is conducting an AMA over at r/wow today. If you've got any interesting questions, don't hesitate to ask!

      Hail internet!
My name is Samwise Didier! I joined Blizzard Entertainment in 1991 and contributed art for many Blizzard games like: World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, and my current project, Heroes of the Storm. This past year, I ventured into writing and illustrating my own stories, in collaboration with one of the best publishers, Insight Editions. My latest novel, The Last Winter, is a tale of fantasy and adventure, taking place on the mountainous island of Mistgard. The united armies of frost and fire giants, led by Lord Wintyr and King Sumyr, march across frozen seas to bring destruction and doom to the island and it's inhabitants, the Pandyr. As ice and fire rain down from the sky, the fractured tribes of the Pandyr must put aside old prejudices and unite in order to defend their tribes, their island, and their very existence.
The Last Winter will be released October 3rd and is available for pre-order now!
Alrighty internet friends, I am ready for your questions.
      ASK ME ANYTHING!
(Note: once this post is an hour old, we will begin answering questions)

You can also download a PDF version of the drama here. The mp3 versions are cut off at 5:22 for some odd reason.

      PART ONE: TWO BRIGHT LIGHTS
Ranger-Captain Alleria Windrunner and High General Turalyon’s disappearance was not the end of their last war, but rather the beginning of a new and more terrible one.
      PART TWO: THE EMERALD STAR
After joining the Army of the Light, Alleria and Turalyon’s war against the Burning Legion took them all the way to the seat of the demons’ power: Argus.
      PART THREE: SHADOW AND LIGHT
The Burning Legion is attacking Azeroth. The Army of the Light is on the verge of defeat. Alleria and Turalyon are on opposite sides of the cosmos, desperately searching for the key to ending Sargeras’s crusade.

Similar to the Blood of Sargeras vendor in Dalaran, a new vendor has been added to the Vindicaar in Patch 7.3.2. He offers various items in exchange for Primal Sargerite.
Maras can be found aboard the Vindicaar on Argus. For 1 Primal Sargerite, you can get one of the following:
10x Astral Glory 10x Empyrium 10x Fiendish Leather 10x Lightweave Cloth Uncut Argus epic gems cost 10 Primal Sargerite each.
Argulite Chemirine Florid Malachite Hesselian Labradorite Lightsphene Screenshots

Patch 7.3 added new crafting materials and recipes. The issue that Blizzard somehow forgot to solve was Primal Sargerite. You can't really do anything with it. It's not needed to craft gems and only a handful of recipes require it. 10 Primal Sargerite for a single Hesselian, Florid Malachite or Labradorite is a bit off, especially because they are the least prominent gems and can't be cut into epic gems. Make some gold while you still can and don't forget to check out our post about Jewelcrafting and epic gems.

New sound files have been added in Patch 7.3.2 and they are full of heavy spoilers revolving around Illidan and the fate of Azeroth after Argus the Unmaker has been defeated.
Our friends over at MMO-Champion have uploaded new voicovers for Aggramar, Aman'thul, Eonar the Life-Binder, Illidan, Khadgar, Malfurion and Tyrande that contain major spoilers, proceed with caution!
From the recently added Dungeon Journal entry of Argus, we learn that the Pantheon will be aiding us in the final battle against Argus. Eonar provides Gift of the Lifebinder, allowing players to resurrect during the encounter. Other perks in the encounter are  Gift of the Sea or Gift of the Sky.
      Aman'thul VO
      Aggramar VO
      Eonar VO
      Illidan VO
Illidan asks you to put some final matters to rest and deliver Alor'idal Crystal on his behalf. It holds messages for his brother Malfurion, Tyrande and you. After that you're supposed to place it atop Mount Hyjal upon the shores of the Well of Eternity. If you don't know what happens to Illidan after Argus is defeated, you can find more information here. Illidan, Malfurion and Tyrande received young models in Patch 7.3.2 that may be part of a flashback.
      Malfurion VO
      Tyrande VO
      Khadgar VO
Now comes the real deal. Khadgar's new sound files reveal what's going on with Azeroth.
"The Legion is defeated, its master imprisoned, but in his final spiteful act, Sargeras may have doomed us all. Our world is wounded champion. Its life essence seeps out into the sands just as Magni foresaw. This mere drop of Argus' blood surges with incredible power, the might of a titan. If the blood of Azeroth also proves to be a source of such strength, those who seek to rule this world will stop at nothing to possess it. The days ahead may be dark indeed. For now, go to Silithus. Gaze upon the wound in the world with your own eyes. We will find a way to save Azeroth, I know it."
Remember Il'gynoth's quote "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn?" It all started with the Whispers of a Frightened World scenario.  From the transcript it is obvious that the final titan is wounded. There's a new map with a giant wound (hole) in Silithus.
      Silithus Wound
Below is a map of the Silithus Wound scenario (Phase 1).
