wow Fun Fact About Hearthstones You Might Not Know

Did you know that HSs bind in the EXACT location the innkeepter WAS at the time of bindig, even if it was on a ship that is no longer there?

In the "Wow, I've been playing since day 1 and I really should have known this but never did" category, today I found out that when you bind yourself to an Inn the game remembers  not only the way you were facing, but also EXACTLY where the innkeeper was at the time of binding. Redditor BFGfreak learned that the hard way:

Apparently, way back when, it was also possible for members of the opposing faction to kite an innkeeper a long way away and then when they disengaged you could bind in the place they left him before he ran away. Some people in the reddit thread even mention having used it to get to Molten Core faster during progress!

So, hands up, make me feel stupid and tell me how many of you already knew this?

I've definetly heard about this, but of course, no proofs.

I should also point out that the title is a huge clickbait for any Hearthstone player around here who doesn't spend a lot of time reading titles. A smart move, shame that I can't upvote this twice.

I always knew this as well. There aren't too many innkeepers who move, but i can think of atleast one from long ago, the most recent one is the leader of the nightfallen who moves downstairs. you still appear upstairs if you hearthed her before though.

Actually I really tried hard to differentiate this from an actual Hearthstone news article but all the other titles didn't fit :( I was going to call it "your hearthstone item" but that just sounded weird.

I knew the process used to be more finicky but I had never heard about the kiting to raid entrance thing. It's very clever. I like when people find clever uses for in game things. Some blizz doesn't mind some they do XD.

If only we had ever found a use for abusing the tiny, unkillable bunny raid markers in the old fights.
