Legion Reputations

5 posts in this topic

I've got several characters that I want to play and was wondering if it is required to spam all the world quests for reputation (Alt-Killing). Did some investigation into some of the rewards for each to see at which point I can start relaxing and just do the Emissary World Quests each day.

Currently the only 3 major requirements for reputation are for:
1. World Quests - Friendly with all the starting 5 factions
2. Suramar Dungeons attunement - Nightfallen 8000/12000 Honored (Court of Stars and The Arcway)
3. Pathfinder Part One - Revered with all the starting 5 factions. (Since the Broken Isle Diplomat is account-wide, you only need 1 character with this)

Then there is also the 6 Reputation Shoulder Enchants.
Boon of the - Chance to Drop - Reputation Requirement
1. Harvester - Herbs & Fish - Honored with Dreamweavers
2. Butcher - Skinning & Meat - Honored with Highmountain Tribe
3. Manaseeker - Enchanting & Potions - Honored with The Nightfallen
4. Salvager - Ores & Armor - Revered with Valarjar
5. Bloodhunter - Blood of Sargeras  - Revered with The Wardens
6. Gemfinder - Gems - Revered with Court of Farondis

Just a note, Bloodhunter seems to be the best choice here due to the Vendor coming in at Patch 7.1

Any other points I'm missing?

I have 2 toons I'm playing right now - shaman for raiding (848 ilvl atm) and a druid gearing for Mythic + (830 ilvl atm). I am Revered with all the factions except of Wardens on shaman and is doing only AP and chests world quests during last week, Friendly/Honored on druid (hit lvl 110 this Saturday and finished Class Campaign), doing only gear/chests world quests here.

Regarding reputation rewards: I can't see anything I miss on my toons that would force me into world quests spam (doing all the quests regardless their reward). Rep from an emissary, AP quests and dungeon runs is enough to keep it going (Revered with all factions in 3 weeks), and you need Exalted only for specific profession recipes. I wrote here 'need' as an opposite to 'want', because there are obviously a lot of people that want Exalted for other reasons than a 'practical' ones.

Regarding shoulder enchants: after these 3 weeks I'd say that I see zero advantage of a Bloodhunter enchant for a raider: I've got 170 Bloods in 2 weeks just from random daily HC and weekly Mythic runs, and they are all in my bank apart of those spent to level Jewelcrafting to 800.

What we do need badly in my opinion, is the shoulder enchant that gives herbs. Herbs, pots and flasks cost an unhuman amount of gold on AH right now: I was leveling alchemy yesterday and it's 30-150 gold for one herb, 200-400 gold for a potion and 1500 gold for a flask on my server. So I think that having a herb supply and being able to craft consumables by yourself/by guildies from your mats would be the best investment for now because otherwise, one raid day would cost us a fortune.

I know that the main advice before Legion was to level a crafting+gathering prof but I don't find anyhow appealing but extremely time consuming to run between mobs for hours picking herbs one by one when you can have the same amount of them from enchant drops.

So I would suggest to switch between Butcher (meats+leathers) and Harvester(fish+herbs) enchants to be able to provide yourself with raid consumables until these crazy prices wouldn't chill out.

You also could run the shoulder enchantment from the nightfallen. They have a chance to contain flasks & pots.  But I’m totally with you that the wardens enchantment is useless right now. Thus it may chance in future if there come more way to spend the blood. I’m just not sure which one of them is more effective. Right now I’m running with Harvester. But not sure if the bags can contain star roses.

In the last days I did a lot of farming herbs (and finale got the rank 3 fox flowers yesterday yeah!). But the rate at which you get star roses and the amount you need them for fucking everything is just annoying

I found this post on wowhead regarding the drop rates with different shoulder enchants:

1000 mob kills with each enchantment-->
Boon of the Gemfinder: 8xFound Sack of Gems
Boon of the Harvester: 10xHarvested Goods
Boon of the Butcher: 22xButchered Meat
Boon of the Manaseeker: 13xMana-Tinged Pack
Boon of the Salvager: 9xSalvaged Armor
Boon of the Bloodhunter: 4xBloodhunter's Quarry
Boon of the Scavenger: 8xScavenged Cloth

so while it's still all random, you can see the difference in the possible gains.

Anyways, I think there's no 'the best for everyone' enchant. Harvester and Butcher are good for now to supply yourself with raid consumables without spending 100500 gold on AH, Gemfinder or Salvager could be nice if you have a related crafted profession but don't want to take a gathering one, etc.

I think it might be better just to swap the enchant according to your current needs.

Was about to comment this, but she's beaten me to it. Best piece of advice concerning the enchants right here.

All applications will be reviewed and considered however if you are playing a class/spec combination we need then your chances of joining will be higher.
A little bit of info about us:
We are a group of friends and serious raiders on EU Twisting Nether looking to recruit skilled like-minded players into our roster for Mythic Legion raids and onwards. We will offer a sociable and fun raiding environment while maintaining a strong desire for progression. Our Discord is very active and we encourage all members to chat and play together not only for raids. The guild formed late March 2016 and fully cleared 13/13 Mythic Hellfire Citadel pre nerf shortly after. We've since been improving our world ranking every tier.
We currently raid 3 days per week on Mythic: Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday 19:15-22:15 server time. While it is not a lot we try to make the most out of our time. We run optional heroic/normal/alt/previous tier raids during off days in which raiders are welcome to come to. Our members also play other games outside raid times together where anyone is welcome to join(LoL, Dota, HotS, Overwatch etc.).
Our loot system for Mythic is RC Loot Council.
      What we expect from you:
      - We are a raiding guild with only a 9 hour per week schedule so you are expected to attend and be ON TIME! However we understand things can come up sometimes but please let us know.
      - Be able to speak and understand the English language and not be afraid to communicate with other members during raids.
      - Actively doing dungeons/world quests to improve your gear and artifact weapon.
      - Have a strong understanding of the current raid tier and be able to play your class to it's potential.
      - Always come to raids prepared(i.e. bringing food and potions, etc).
      - Come fully gemmed and enchanted with the correct stats for your class and spec.
      - Access to Discord and a working microphone.
      - Have a computer that can handle 20 man raiding and a good, stable internet connection.
      - Exorsus Raid Tools, Weakauras2 and RC Loot Council addons installed. We may ask you to install others.
