Enhance Shaman needs logs examined

Hello Shamans

 

So after a Heroic Nythendra I reviewed my logs and i'm questioning my damage and what i'm not doing incorrectly.

 

First off, here's the log

I find myself to be struggling to hit 210k dps. After examining other shamans via logs, i seem to be hitting a tad weaker then some, and i'll point out my SS casts are lacking. Some Shamans are getting in 65+ SS per encounter where i can only seem to hit mid 40's.

 

I even enchanted and shamans who wreck me are not.

 

Rotation is based off the recommended as per this website.

 

Can anyone pick apart what the hell it is i'm doing wrong.

At a first glance:

• Your Frostbrand uptime is fairly low, 87% vs. a possible 95%+
• Boulderfirst/Landslide uptime of 90% vs. a possible 95%+
• No potion seems to really hurt you, since the Potion of Old War can do up like 4-7% of your damage.
• Mark of the Hidden Satyr on your neckpiece could be another 2-3%. 
• How far into your artifact are you?

I'm 20 in , made a terrible mistake and went the wrong route taking Doom vortex.

I decided to respec and went the recommended route and picked up unleash doom, but missing storm flurry.

 

Im still only hitting 200-220, instead of 190. Significant increase but not the number I'm looking for.

Also installed tell me when hoping this reminds me to keep my buffs up.

I think this could be a decent factor, honestly. Also, the enchant/potion could be great.

Yeah I made a lot of P.O.W.

What do you think (if even a factor) is to why my SS proc's are significantly fewer than better output shamans?

Mastry is now at 70% buffed. Can't understand why it feels like it's never up

Do you have Stormflurry in your artifact yet? If not, this could be why.

Also, there's a few traits you won't have that increase your Haste etc., which means more auto attacks, which means more chances to proc the reset.

Funny thing is , I'm soft capped.

im at 17% haste. It boggles my mind.

At one point I was at 20% haste, and 58% mastery. 

I changed that to 17% haste, 62% mastery.

Which is now 17% haste, 66% mastery.

 

Maybe I just suck lol

Definitely could be a factor? I'm not sure how the logs tracks the extra hit and whether it counts as another "cast" of it.

So I havent really studied logs before, but i pull about 260k+ dps atm on my shaman and from what i can tell you certainly need to put frostbrand on straight away. your burst is lacking immensley. I do 700k burst on a good pull but it doesnt look like you cast frostbrand until 28 seconds into the fight? Its top 3 damage. you only do fire first because its ranged and takes no maelstrom

 

My rotation on CD is:

Potion and Feral spirit at about 3 seconds

Flametongue on walk up at 1 second

Boulderfirst (only need 1 Feral spirits will fill maelstrom as well as doom wind)

Frost Brand

Crash lightning (increases Stormstrike dmg and seems to have a high chance for me to proc Stormbringer)

Doom winds

StormStrike

 

From there i use stormbringers or Lava lash depending on proc while mainting Boulderfist and Frostbrand

I don't worry about flametongue if i have a good run of stormbringer procs but i will stop to put on frostbrand on boulderfist
