I am eager to know what everyone thinks about WW dps after the first raiding week and therefore evaluate my rotation and performance, so despite that I am not very good at English, I carry out this poll as a conversation starter.

In the first week of Legion I was very excited about WW because in ALL the dungeons  I did way more damage than every other classes, sometimes 30% or 40% more. This high expectation was met with slightly frustration and confusion when it came to raid content last week. Last night my guild killed heroic Xavius and here is the log: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/rJRXdwHDKPc6ga8y#fight=26&type=damage-done. I ranked 7(vincenkw) but that was mainly because I happened to outlive most of others and got a chance to do a lot of damage during the crazed 15 secs. During earlier attempts my DPS ranked around #10 - #14 and almost got replaced, and my ilvl(853) was higher than a good part of the raids. The other night I did heroic Ursoc with a 12 men pug team, I ranked #3 eventually but also almost got replaced earlier because I ranked around #7-#10 during attempts that last for about 3 to 4 minutes, my ilvl was 851 and the #1 and #2 was hunter and DH, their ilvl were around 848. About the artifact level, I've asked several guild members and we are all around 20.

All in all, I feel like WW is not so competent as I have thought it would be, what do you guys think? Also, it seems to me WW usually don't do well comparatively in the first 3 or 4 minutes which often result in being replaced while the team is making attempts, what is your experience regarding this issue?

Out of interest, were you playing before or after the changes to classes? Just before I comment on the rest :p

Tbh, I am not very sure. I am aware there was a change, but since there is no patch notes about it(or I havdn't found it), I don't know when it happened. The Xavis kill I mentioned was after the change, this I can confirm.

I am interested in hearing what other raiding monks will share about their Emerald Nightmare experiences.

While my monk is not yet raid-ready, I've dungeoned and raided with multiple WW monks, and I've seen them perform in top 3 for multi-target fights at in normal raids and mythic dungeons.

I'm also interested in hearing about the class changes that were stealthed into game this September

Atm im only pugging (EN norm & heroic), and doing M+9 as progression, and in my experience WW monks are quite high.

In raids i tend to top the dmg charts with at least 2-4% more dmg than the others, probably due to Karma-legendary.
Dungeons the only proper competition is the DH, and thats with a lot of aoe (thrash), but seeing DHs lack a bit in ST, i tend to top it in overall.

Now im very interested about what monk changes.. Havent even seen anything in the "hidden hotfixes"!

The only change I've noticed for sure is that SotW seems to do about half damage (maybe less?) to secondary targets, like how FoF used to be.

Also been noticing the same thing with DPS charts, before and after the hotfixes. I tend to be far and away the top overall DPS in dungeons, and still manage to edge out most better geared players on pure single-target boss fights. So far I've only seen a couple rogues and 1 demo lock do more DPS than me in pure single-target fights, and they were only a couple % higher. But then in PUG raids, even in LFR, I'm usually somewhere around #4-7 on the charts, even in AOE-heavy fights. Don't really know why. Could just be doing some mechanics slightly wrong, I dunno. I know I've popped karma too early or too late a few times.

Hey there guys Just got back into wow after going on hiatus due to college and a lot of changes has happened since EN was progression material xD So i have spent a while trying to get my character back up and into shape however i feel like i am doing lower dps than i should at 897 ilvl. Could you look me over and yell at me if i am doing something wrong? (note i am not in a raiding guild so all my raids are pugged and i am a scrub at using warcraftlogs since i am using them for the first time since about 3 days ago).

<Abyss> is recruiting to bolster our Mythic raid team. We are a zero drama guild of adults who enjoy raiding progression content.
The guild has been around since day one of classic. We have a relatively relaxed raid environment and solid leadership that encourages players to excel while still enjoying the game.
Raiders must come prepared, on time, with flasks, pots, food, and runes.
Raiders must know their class and role.
Potential raiders must have been gearing for the content.
Drama Queens and Trolls need not apply.
      Progression:
      7/7M, 2/3M (3/3H), 8/10M (10/10H)
      Our raid schedule is:
      Tuesday - Wednesday - Thursday
      8PM - 11PM CST
We are looking for the following classes/specs, but will consider any good and dedicated players.
Swing Healer - Druid, H Priest, Monk
      Ranged - Elemental Shaman, Hunter
      Melee - Plate DPS
If you are interested in joining our Mythic team, please apply: https://goo.gl/forms/ZQPvm6KYcqEkzTpz1

      Hive have opened up recruitment!

Hive is a 2-day mythic raiding guild on Ravencrest-Alliance. We are a core of raiders who have been together since before the launch of Legion and are looking to expand on our Raiding Roster for the opening of Tomb of Sargeras. We are a fairly new guild and as such are a work in progress.
We are aiming for a spot within the top 20-30 guilds on Ravencrest on progress, and are looking for more raiders with an ambition and dedication at the same level.
      Recruitment:
      1x Holy Paladin
      1x Rogue
      1x Warlock
      1x Mage
      1x Rogue
      Legion Progression:
      Emerald Nightmare: 7/7 M
      Trial of Valor: 2/3 M
      The Nighthold: 5/10 M

      Raid Days:
The raiding times in Hive are Thursday and Sunday from 19:30 until 23:30 Server time (CEST). Invites to the raids will go out starting at 19:15. We require all raiders to be ready and available to execute the first pull of the raid at 19:30.

      Loot:
The loot in Hive is distributed amongst the raiders through a Loot Council. This council includes 3 Officers and at least 2 Raiders. During the remainder of the Nighthold Raid, all Trial Raiders will have equal rights to any loot drops as a core raider - Once Tomb of Sargeras is open however, Raiders will have priority over Trial Raiders within reason.

      Requirements:
-All communication during raids will be in English and we require all our raiders to be on Discord and able to speak, with a functioning mic.
-80% attendance on main raids. Due to this low attendance requirement, we have a large roster of players and all raiders may be subject to rotation in the raiding team on any given night.
-A positive attitude towards constructive critisism - We expect all raiders to know their class through and through.
-Preparation. All raiders are required to show up with enough Flasks, Food, Health potions and Combat potions to last through a night of extensive progress wiping. We may also ask you to use Defiled Augment Runes on progress fights. Vantus Runes are provided by the guild bank.

      Contact:
If you are looking for further information or have any questions, feel free to contact any of our Officers on Battle.tag:

Deathsworn Verdict – Who Are We?

Deathsworn Verdict (Ravencrest) has been an active raiding guild since 2011 and over the years, we have always worked hard to progress through high-end content as a cohesive team. Raiding is only one side of the story for us, though. No day in Deathsworn Verdict goes without jokes and laughter, and we are immensely proud of the unique, inclusive guild atmosphere that we have cultivated.

What Can You Expect From Us?
A humorous, unique social atmosphere that extends outside of raid times and outside of WoW.  Solid, focused mythic progression.  A range of off-raid activities, such as mythic+ groups and alt runs.
What Do We Expect From You?
      · Full preparation for each raid. This includes knowledge of the fight, correct gems and enchants as well as bringing consumables. · To have the drive to improve and be mature enough to handle constructive criticism. · To be able to communicate in English using a microphone + Discord. · We do not tolerate homophobia, sexism or racism in any form.
