Sin poison rogue rotation.

Recommended Posts

hey guys, since legion ive always played sin rogue, and never have i strayed away from the bleed/exsang build. i was hoping one of you could give me an idea of how the rotation when playing agonizing poison is supposed to look like. i have roughly 117% mastery when i play that build.

any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated :)

It's the exact same, you just don't use Exsang.

You still buff Rupture with Vanish, and you still use 6CP Envenoms to fill in.

Talents are Elaborate Planning and Agonizing Poison, instead of the other ones from those tiers.

doesnt feel like im doing more dmg than with exsang, guess ill just have to practice it more.

It involves a lot more planning around your openers, and squeezing damage into the windows of bonus damage

Additionally, because it takes a while to stack Agonizing Poison, it doesn't do very well on multi-target fights

So you should always envenom at 6cp ? I have been using my envenoms at 4cp + to keep EP up.

Those vary according to your current gear. Sometimes you're overflowing Mastery, then getting Crit would be way more beneficial than stacking more Mastery, etc.

That's why you gotta sim your toon from time to time.

I think 6CP is better, especially if you pool resources correctly

So far I have spent countless hours in training dummies, mythic dungeons and heroic EN (H 5 of 7), also I sim regularly now and the bleed build still outlasts AP/EP by a good 5-7k sustained and the opener blows AP/EP away. Then again I only have 95% mastery so I'm not entirely sure how high the mastery is supposed to be to make it viable. Is there a target % for mastery on the poison build?

when i play this build i have 117% mastery, seems like a good number to me to be pushing 105% to out sustain the bleed build

No there isn't a target percentage, because there are far too many variables for it. However, most people that I see swapping over and seeing improved results have around the 110% mark or higher

Okay so between Nelf and Human rogue my questions are this
Doesn't the weapon skill see a diminishing return?
Is the dps difference actually there?
Also shadowmeld vs perception: I don't understand why shadowmeld isn't considered to be the better choice?
Reasoning being that a nelf should get the jump on another rogue first regardless, because of the better stealth..that is a passive. Also wouldn't the shadowmeld be better in a raid setting for sap?
I understand that perception is active for 20 seconds but it has a cool down, and is also on the same faction?
