wow Suramar City From (Way) Above

6 posts in this topic

A breathtaking view from far above the city, as well as some other great screenshots and art of the place.

Obviously for a lot of us Suramar City is THE highlight of Legion, and I was just reminded of how great it was today by this image from reddit, showcasing the city in its full glory from above (unfortunately in spirit-realm form):

The image was taken by going straight up in one of the areas (area?) where you can fly when dead and reaching the maximum height. And since one image isn't really enough for a whole post, I'll just go ahead and slap on a ton of Suramar art and screenshots from all over the place, because despite the fact we go through the city every day, they are still quite arresting: Also it may all be an illusionwhatareyouhiding.

That's one of the things I hate most about Legion tbh, that they completely ignored the good parts of the Garrison, aka the player housing view, and brought back the thing everyone hated aka the follower missions (personally I even liked the missions but I can understand why people had issues with them).

Suramar has definately been the highlight of Legion for me.  The city is wonderful and feels alive.  The art for it is amazing and the way you progress and move through it is awesome.  I love the layers of it the vastness of the city but more importantly the way the quests and the storyline are for it.  The nightfallen questlines are fantastic!

Totally love them, but right now, after the 6th alt, it gets a bit... lengthy :p That's my own fault though, they weren't made to be redone that many times I am sure!

It will be even easier to unlock account-wide flying in Legion now that two requirements were nerfed!
Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part Two no longer requires the completion of the Legionfall campaign (Breaching the Tomb).
      To unlock flying
Have Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One completed Explore Broken Shore Reach Revered with Armies of Legionfall  (Legionfall Commander) This is the second change that will make it easier to unlock flying. The first one was made several builds ago, where reaching Exalted with the new faction (Armies of Legionfall) was necessary (now it's down to Revered).
Nethershard cost for Shard Times was drastically reduced.
      Blizzard Entertainment (Source)
Thanks for the feedback, everyone! The original currency requirement for Nethershards in this quest was temporary until final Nethershard costs and drop rates were determined. The current requirement for this quest is 2500 Nethershards. Also, *spoiler* Khadgar realizes that he was a bit overzealous and at the conclusion of the quest determines he only needs 1. So the player is left with the remaining 2499 to use as they please.

Additionally, some folks are worried that the Legionfall Campaign is going to stop them from flying. It's not! The campaign is not a requirement to unlock flying in 7.2. One of the early versions of the achievement had that as a requirement, but it has since been removed.
You can see this on the PTR right now. It looks like the datamining sites are a bit out of date though.

      1. Broken Isles Pathfinder, Part One - Part 1 completed
      2. Explore Broken Shore - Go to every POI
      3. Legionfall Commander - Reach Revered Rep with Legionfall faction.

Moonkin Festival is one of the newest micro-holidays added in Patch 7.2.5. The celebration takes places in Moonglade and the final reward is 5 Moonkins Hatchlings following you for 5 days.
      Overview
A wonderful celebration of all things Moonkin is happening today in Moonglade. Stop by and see what you can learn!
Go to Moonglade and find Makkaw. He has the "Moonkin Monitoring" quest for you and you're sent to observe three activities vital for the life of every Moonkin. You watch them dance, moonfire and sleep. When complete, you get a Moonkin Hatchling (Moonkin Hatchling) that follows you for 1 day. Then you need to loot a Moonkin Stone to be able to understand Moonkins. By talking to your hatchling you learn it's hungry.
Collect 5 Moonberries and feed the hatchling. Once done, a second hatchling will join you and the buff is extended to 2 days. Don't waste your time searching for the berries in the Moonkin area, you'll find them in the village.

Now you need to kill Jadefire Shadowmasters in the village and they will drop Brilliant Vial, Constellas Corruption & Moonglow Water to create a Moonkissed Antidote and administer the antidote to their friend Clookle, who can be found beneath the village. Entrance can be found in the north. He's Poisoned and petrified.

This will spawn a fourth hatchling and they tell you to go kill Xavinox. He has around 60 million Health and can be problematic to solo for non-tank specs.

He drops Beanie Boomie and the amount of moonkins following you for 5 days is increased to 5.

The invulnerable bug will hopefully be eradicated after today's hotfixes, there's a lot of quest fixes and multiple artifact challenge appearances will no longer stack up on top of each other in class halls!
      April 25 (source)
      Class Halls
Players who have unlocked multiple Challenge appearances for their Artifacts will no longer see more than one of them on top of each other in their Class Halls. Items
Players should be able to transmogrify tabards to the appearance of the Legionfall Tabard. Butcher's Bone Apron should no longer provide a benefit that persists in unintended circumstances. Player versus Player
Fixed a bug that was causing some players to become invulnerable in instanced PvP. The quest "Something Different" now requires 1 brawl victory (was 3 brawl completions). The quest now rewards a Soldier's Legacy Artifact Power token, 3 Marks of Honor, and a Brawler's Footlocker. Quests
Corrine the Deceiver should now respawn as expected when killed on the quest “Cult Culling”. Fixed a bug that was causing errors opening Stolen Crates during “Arming the Army”. “Full Fel” now correctly awards quest credit. Resolved issues where some Paladins were not able to obtain the letter starting the Maximillian questline. A certain Escape Rope in a secret treasure cave is now easier to see. It’s dark in there! Previous hotfixes.
