7.1 MM Black Arrow/True Aim over Lock n Load?

I was thinking with the recent nerf to aimed shot that taking True Aim over Lock n Load would be more efficient because that's a straight 16% damage increase to aimed shot across the board where lock n load has a small chance to proc with an already nerfed aimed shot.

 

Was also thinking even maybe Black Arrow can be taken over lock n load now considering its on a really small CD now and scales with mastery.  Thoughts?  Me and another MM hunter are gonna test between true aim and black arrow on nythendra and ursoc to compare each others' DPS.

They updated said patch notes again.  The 5% nerf is live.

True aim is already on par if not better than lock and load on single target fights like ursoc nythendra and xavius IF you dont let the buff fall off. Also it loses value with barrage because it is such a focus dump, take crows with it. Since it is a % buff it will scale better with ilvl and be more consistent then lock and load. Black arrow will always be trash for single target but I  could see some EN situations where it might pull ahead but not worth it

Do NOT use True Aim. It is harder to keep up, and there is always more outplay potential with a proc. Plus the fact that movement will drop True Aim immediately, and a lot of fights require movement.

Funnily enough procs of Legacy of the Windrunners actually adds stacks of True Aim for each Wind Arrow that hits the target.

I'd also hazard a guess that Legacy of the Windrunner's wind arrows are also affected by the damage increase from True Aim.

This makes it much more forgiving to switch between targets but unfortunately is governed by RNG.

Whether this is known or taken into consideration I have no idea but it's food for thought. Lock and Load tends to be very helpful on movement intensive fights with a proc to help you move around however is again, governed by RNG.
