I've conducted an experiment, whether it was still enough profitable to craft ObliterumObliterum through Alchemy using Ancient Healing PotionAncient Healing Potion, given the low price of ObliterumObliterum on highly-populated realms.

This method is extremely popular and efficient. I've only used my Level 100 character with 600 Alchemy. You obviously need to unlock the Obliterum Forge first and the wrists you need to buy require some initial investment.

How to get Ancient Healing PotionAncient Healing Potion.

  • Recipe: Ancient Healing PotionRecipe: Ancient Healing Potion & Recipe: Ancient Healing PotionRecipe: Ancient Healing Potion are bought from the Alchemy vendor. The third rank is created as an item in your inventory and you have a chance to get it anytime you're crafting Ancient Healing PotionAncient Healing Potion.
    • I've got mine after crafting 523 potions, it's really random, but absolutely do pay attention to your inventory if you're a first timer, don't just go AFK
    • The recipe may appear anytime in your inventory that's why you should stop crafting as soon as you see it and commence wth the rank 3 learned (it grants procs).
    • Given the low ObliterumObliterum price on my realm, rank 3 is a must if you want to profit.

Obliterum Price

  • ObliterumObliterum price at the time of writing: 2,395g/pc
  • ObliterumObliterum price at the time of publishing/selling: 2,359 g/pc

Numbers

Investment: 144,865 Gold > 14,546 Yseralline SeedYseralline Seeds

So rank 3 gave me an extra of 1,684 potions.

Average Obliterum AshObliterum Ash per obliterated Ancient Healing PotionAncient Healing Potion = 1.5005

Results: 79 ObliterumObliterum / 83 Obliterum AshObliterum Ash

Profit: 43,454 Gold.

The method still works, but is very time-consuming. I didn't bother get Yseralline SeedYseralline Seeds cheaper, I bought them all from the Auction House at the average price of almost 10g/pc. It takes ages to obliterate all the potions, which is why I didn't want to spend even more time searching for cheaper seeds.

How to Obliterate Faster?

EasyObliterate is a must if you don't want to go bonkers. It replaces the traditional Forge UI with a much more compact interface and allows you to obliterate with the spam of a single button.

  • Set Auto Loot & Auto Select on.
  • When in-game type /M and create a new macro with /click EasyObliterate, so you can place it on an actionbar.

I tried a lower budget variation of this, only bought 200 Yseralline Seeds, and crafted rank 2 Ancient Healing Potions.

Ended up losing 2k gold. Haven't tried this with rank 3 yet, but don't try this with rank 2.

You absolutely need the Rank 3. You should only use Rank 2 for the Rank 3 proc if you don't have it yet.

Hi Stan

Have you looked at the Infernal Alchemist Stone,

It is a little hard on the bloods, but as an Alchemist you don't have a lot else to spend them on.

Brimstone is fairly cheap on most AH, its just a matter of weighing up costs of the Felwort.

Hi Sungrass,

I've explored this option, but I don't really like it, because it depends on too many variables. It's a good way to spend your bloods though, but at the end of the day, you will run out of bloods and finding crafters that sell it for 100-200g (that's the price of bloods i'd have to find if I wanted to make some nice gold) can be problematic. Add the fluctuating price of Felwort and unstable prices of Obliterum. Destroying 1 stone gives anywhere between 110-180 ash. When Obliterum prices rise, I search for cheap Alchemy trinkets or crafted jewelry on the AH, buy it and destroy it.

I'm not saying this method isn't working, but obliterating potions currently gives me more gold and it only depends on the price of seeds. It's very time-consuming though:(.

Anyway, 1,915g + 3 bloods would be my investment.

Hello, Stan.

Thx for this guide. I can advice you one more hint for this method.

You can use autoclicker to make it faster and no need to click it manually. You just move your mouse to button Anigilation and start the autoclicker. I drinked tea and all my potions became shards.

Stuff like this is against the ToS I believe, since you are automating your actions. It can get you banned. Going to remove the name of the program from your comment.

I mean that, by using that program, you can be permanently banned on WoW. If people read that and use it, you could be causing them to get banned :(

Blizzard added research advancements to the game in this week's Battle for Azeroth Beta Build 26871. We have six tiers of research that provide various boons in the new expansion.
An introductory quest has been added for research advancement in BfA. The Horde quest's called Adapting Our Tactics and the quest giver's Eitrigg.

We have six tiers to research in Battle for Azeroth and here's a breakdown of the Order Hall talents:
Tier 1 (Research Time: 4 Hr, Cost: 15 War Resources)
Seafarer's Hearth (Research Time: 4 Hr, Cost: 15 War Resources)
Harness the power of the sea, reducing the cooldown of your Hearthstone by 40% when used in Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Swift Landing (Research Time: 4 Hr, Cost: 15 War Resources)
Capture the momentum from your recent flight path, increasing your mounted movement speed by 20% for 5 minutes upon landing (Research Time: 4 Hr, Cost: 15 War Resources)
Tier 2 (Research Time: 1 Day, Cost: 100 War Resources)
      Upgraded Troop Barracks
Construct a larger barracks for your army, increasing the maximum number of troops you can house by 2. Troop Portal Network
Open a portal for transportation of troops from Orgrimmar, allowing troops to be recruited instantly.
Tier 3 (Research Time: 1 Day, Cost: 150 War Resources, Complete expeditions to five different islands.)
      Island Plunderer
Learn the pirate secrets of spotting treasure, granting you a chance to receive additional Seafarer's Dubloons on Island Expeditions. Island Archeologist
Learn the secrets of ancient civilizations, increasing the duration of effects from shrines by 20%.
Tier 4 (Research Time: 1 Day, Cost: 200 War Resources, Requires at least five War Champions.)
      World Azerite Detector
Construct an Azerite detector on your ship, granting you a chance to find additional Azerite when completing World Quests. Local Transportation
Upgrade your Flight Master's Whistle, allowing you to call for a quick flight back to Zuldazar when using your whistle directly next to a flight master on Zandalar or Kul Tiras.

Tier 5 (Research Time: 1 Day, Cost: 250 War Resources, Requires a Warfront victory against three unique enemy Commanders.)
      Warfront Resourcer
Learn more efficient ways to gather resources under pressure, increasing resource gathering speed by 15% while fighting in a Warfront. Warfront General
Learn how to best inspire allies in combat, increasing the effectiveness of nearby troops by 15% while fighting in a Warfront.
Tier 6 (Research Time: 1 Day, Cost: 500 War Resources, Requires Alliance/Horde Diplomat)

Mole Machine (Dark Iron Dwarf racial) has been enabled on Battle for Azeroth Beta. It creates a mole machine that teleports you and your party members to Ironforge or Stormwind. The spell has a 30-minute cooldown.
The mole machine makes you appear in the Dwarven District (near Blacksmithers), if you teleport to Stormwind. When you decide to teleport to Ironforge, you will appear at the Gates of Ironforge in Dun Morogh (Spirit Healer location).

In this article, we're taking a look at content worth finishing before Battle for Azeroth goes live.
Ahead of the Curve: Argus the Unmaker & Cutting Edge: Argus the Unmaker
Both achievements will be removed once the pre-patch goes live. If you don't have the achievement yet, the first round of Mythic Argus nerfs has already been deployed to live servers, so defeating Argus on Mythic difficulty should be easier now.
      The Chosen Achievement
The achievement will become unobtainable in Battle for Azeroth.
Placeholder for tweet 1008845805501837316 A Challenging Look (Mage Tower Artifact Apppearance)
Blizzard confirmed that the Mage Tower will be permanently up at some point before Battle for Azeroth goes live, but they did not clarify if they meant the pre-patch or the actual expansion. Given how Azerite traits no longer work on 8.0 PTR, it's safe to assume we're going to see an announcement regarding the permanent Mage Tower in the coming days.
      Field Medic Achievement
First Aid will be removed in Battle for Azeroth and all achievements related to the Profession will become Feats of Strength.
      Brawler's Guild Removal
Brawler's Guild will be on hiatus with the release of BfA, but it's very likely that we'll see it return later on in Patch 8.1 or 8.1.5. Don't forget to get the Brawler's Burly Basilisk mount!
      Strand of Ancients Removal
The battleground will be removed in Battle for Azeroth. Achievements will turn into Feats of Strength (Master of Strand of the Ancients).
      Kirin Tor Summoning Crystal Mount
Violet Spellwing will not be available soon. Finish the "Blood of a Titan" quest by looting Blood of the Unmaker from Argus on Heroic difficulty or higher.
      Legion Mythic Difficulty Mounts
As is tradition, the drop rate of Mythic difficulty raid mounts will be reduced to 1% when Battle for Azeroth goes live. Legion only introduced two Mythic mounts to the game:
Gul'dan (Fiendish Hellfire Core) Argus (Shackled Ur'zul)

With Battle for Azeroth just two months away, Blizzard has updated the old Legion login screen with a new one in this week's Beta Build 26871.
The background is comprised of a sunlit sky and birds flying over the walls of Lordaeron, while in the forefront, we see various artifacts that solidify Battle for Azeroth's main theme -- the upcoming faction conflict.
The main title music has been previewed earlier and you can listen to the whole track below.
      Blizzard (Source)
With every expansion, our musical mages reach deep down into their souls and summon a tableau of sound to accompany your next adventure. Building upon a variety of musical themes from World of Warcraft over the years, composer Glenn Stafford has infused his magic into the new main title for Battle for Azeroth, “Before the Storm.” Sit back, relax, and let the music carry you into the heart of Azeroth.
“Before the Storm” was composed and arranged by Glenn Stafford; features additional music by Neal Acree, Sam Cardon, Clint Bajakian, and David Arkenstone; and includes classic World of Warcraft themes by Jason Hayes.

A short batch today as Battle for Azeroth approaches, focusing on Antorus Mythic. It's all about the final boss, Argus the Unmaker, nerfing his health and two abilities.
      June 19 (source)
Antorus, The Burning Throne Sargeras' Rage and Fear damage reduced by 15%. Argus' health reduced by 3% in Mythic Difficulty.
