Blizzard has announced the third installment of its Heroes of the Dorm collegiate tournament. This year, Facebook will host the event.

The popular Heroes of the Storm collegiate tournament, that brought to the surface popular Heroes players like MichaelUdall, Fan and more, is back for its 2017 installment. The primary info on the prizes and the competition dates was published officially and team registrations are now open!

An interesting change this year is that the entire event will be broadcast solely on Facebook. This was also confirmed by a press release by Blizzard Entertainment. This means that we won't see the finals on television (the finals from 2015 and 2016 were shown on ESPN 2), nor will we be able to watch VoDs on YouTube or Twitch.

A last crucial detail is this: are we getting a Cheerleader Kerrigan skin?!

Ready for another round of Heroes of the Storm college esports action? Heroes of the Dorm is returning once again for more prizes, more rivalries, and more intense action in the Nexus, with Cheerleader Kerrigan leading the charge! College students from both the United States and Canada are eligible to participate in this epic clash of the colleges, and with the winner’s remaining college tuition being paid off, you can expect to see some fierce competition!

It will be even easier for esports fans to follow Heroes of the Dorm week in and week out in 2017, with the entirety of the tournament being streamed exclusively on Facebook! That means you’ll be able to follow your favorite team from the regular season all the way to the Heroic Four, with constant action being delivered right to your Facebook feed. If you’re looking for a more in-depth look at Heroes of the Dorm, you can also head to www.heroesofthedorm.com to keep up with statistics, the Bracket Challenge, Pick ‘em Challenge, and more.

There will still be VOD.  Blizzard creates the videos from their event, then hosts them via YouTube.  It will be broadcast LIVE only on FaceBook.  However, VOD will be available after Blizzard uploads the clips to YouTube.

Kel'thuzad, Archlich of Naxxramas was revealed as the next Hero to enter the Nexus.
Check out the latest Gamescom 2017 Hero reveal in our Kel'thuzad preview.
It started with Hero leaks from reddit, where a user wrote that Kel'thuzad would be coming soon and he was right! Blizzard started releasing various Naxxramas teasers that culminated in the Hero reveal. The animated trailer titled "Obey the Call" mentions "Call of Kel'thuzad". If that's the name of a Warcraft Event, we'll get new skins, bundles - and hopefully - a Warcraft-themed map. Kel'thuzad is a Hero from the Warcraft Universe and in Heroes of the Storm, he will be fulfilling the role of an Assassin.
All shall feel the touch of despair as the darkest secrets of the Nexus are revealed... Drawn to the immeasurable power found within the Nexus, Kel’thuzad, Archlich of Naxxramas, has turned several of the noblest Heroes against their allies, and he will not stop until all become minions of the cold dark! (Source)
According to the german fansite Buffed.de, the developers plan to release Kel'thuzad Spotlight this Wednesday (August 23) at 6:00 p.m. CET. Share your thoughts in the comments and don't forget to check the ongoing discussion on reddit.
      Kel'thuzad, Archlich of Naxxramas
Kel'Thuzad has faithfully served the Lich King both in life and after death. Reanimated as the Archlich of the Scourge and given domain of the Dread Necropolis, Naxxramas, Kel’Thuzad remains Arthas’s most trusted advisor and master of the cold dark.

      Star Lich Kel'thuzad
What the heroes of this pitiful blue marble fail to understand is the Earth's fate cannot be delayed forever. In the end, the stars will fade and die, and in the cold dark... our empire is eternal.

Blizzard issued a new round of account suspensions for non-participation - that's going AFK, intentionally dying and refusing to help the team.
Such behavior is all but helpful and players that ruin gameplay experience for everybody will not remain unpunished.
      Blizzard (Source)
We’ve issued a new round of account suspensions and bans for players who regularly go AFK, refuse to participate, or intentionally and repeatedly die during their Heroes of the Storm matches.

These actions were targeted at players whose in-game performance data, combined with high report volume, clearly shows a consistent lack of contribution to the majority of their matches. In this way, we’re able to take regular and confident action against those who are intentionally harming the in-game experience for others.

Going AFK, refusing to participate, and intentionally dying are behaviors that ruin the experience for everyone else in a match and undermine the spirit of competition that’s essential to Heroes of the Storm. Taking part in these actions will not be tolerated, and we will continue to suspend and ban players who do. We’d like to thank those of you who use the relevant in-game reporting options when you spot these negative behaviors in your matches, and encourage you to continue doing so.

Gamescom 2017 approaches and Blizzard started teasing what could be the quarters of Naxxramas.
Redditor Caprificus wrote that the teasers are representing the Arachnid and Military Quarters of Naxxramas. According to the most recent Hero leaks, we're expecting Kel'thuzad to be unveiled soon.

      Naxxramas in World of Warcraft
Naxxramas was the last 40-player raid added to the game in Patch 1.11 and Kel'thuzad was the final boss.
Players were able to obtain Tier 3 sets that can now be bought only on the Black Market Auction House and the legendary weapon - Atiesh, that's currently wielded by Khadgar. There were multiple variations of the caster weapon:
Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian (Druid) Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian (Mage) Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian (Priest) Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardian (Warlock) The raid was removed in Patch 3.0.2 (Source) and in Wrath of the Lich King it was moved to Northrend and reintroduced as a 10/25-player entry-level raid. Tier 7 sets were heavily inspired by the original Tier 3 sets.
