Sorry, I don't understand your question.

 

You say you want to roll % weapon damage and you ask if you should reroll vitality or +8% damage??

You already HAVE %weapon damage - 8 out of 10.

You can't get % weapon damage twice.

%damage is a property (6.0-10.0%) and %weapon damage is also a property (300-400 %weapon damage over 5 seconds)

%weapon damage over 5 seconds is useless.

8% Damage / Vitality is a way better stat.

If your weapon has all of these:

  1. Socket (preferably from Ramaladni's GiftRamaladni's Gift)
  2. Weapon Damage
  3. % Weapon Damage
  4. Max Discipline (Secondary stat)
  5. Resource Cost Reduction

 

you can look at stat 2 - Weapon Damage.

Obviously your weapon has this stat (every weapon has it), but there is quite a huge range.

If yours isn't high you can increase your damage quite nicely by improving your minimum / maximum damage range.

Why would it be 'useless' if Deadset made it the #3 priority to have on the item?

Maybe I'm not understanding the basics of 'item priorities.'

I have 4 out of the 5 listed above (except #3) and was going to try to add #3 to the mix,

but there are only 2 places where I can do it (in the slots that I mentioned.)

You already have the % weapon damage - 8%. That is the one listed.

The X Damage over X seconds is not meant in the guide, it is another - useless - stat.

Oh okay, so your thought is that when Deadset wrote '% Weapon Damage' that he really meant to write '% Damage.'

I think the only one who can clarify this is the one who wrote the guide.

% Weapon Damage is exactly that: An increase by X percent (in your case 8) of the Weapon Damage.

% Damage would be an total increase of your absolute damage.

If he would have meant Damage over X seconds he would have written exactly that.

You can trust me, Damage over X seconds is totally useless. You can check all the Top Greater Rift Rankings, no one has Damage over X seconds on his weapon.

Dropping by to confirm that the third priority stat on Yangs (after high base damage roll and a socket) is indeed % Damage. Sorry if my wording caused some confusion, I'll do a second pass on stats to make sure they match their in-game equivalents closer.
