Blue Posts Round-up: Mar 3

In today's round-up, we're taking a closer look at Feral Druids, Mistweaver Monks, Power Ascended items cost and more. Blue tweets have also been added to the post.

Feral Druids

Slight buffs to single-target damage are coming, but they don't want to make ferals overpowered just because of their more complex rotation.

Blizzard LogoAerythlea (Source)

We don't want to make Feral overpowered in single-target just because the priority rotation is more complex. However, we are looking into Feral's singe-target DPS right now, as it is intended to be where Feral is strong.

Guardian Druid Threat

There are two things going on here:
1) Guardian damage is a little low on the primary target (particularly in a burst context). As people have probably seen on PTR, we're shifting some damage into MangleMangle in 7.2. However, this isn't enough to account for the "other tank pulled off me immediately after GrowlGrowl" anecdotes.
2) We're looking into potential bugs that explain that; there may be something inconsistent about the GrowlGrowl debuff and its threat bonus.

Mistweaver Monk

In Patch 7.2, MistwalkMistwalk has been replaced with Chi WaveChi Wave. Lore explained this was a PvP-oriented change.

Blizzard LogoLore (Source)

This was a primarily PvP-focused change. It wasn't getting much use in PvE (and when it was, that was almost always the wrong choice), and it was giving Mistweavers far too much mobility in PvP, especially in RBGs where it was highly problematic.

We're obviously aware that this change has balance implications, and are prepared to make any additional changes necessary for Mistweaver PvP performance.

Arempy posted an update, informing the community that Monks will learn Fortifying BrewFortifying Brew at level 55 and the Windwalker version has also been renamed to Fortifying Brew to match. It continues to be an option at Honor Level 22.

Power Ascended Items

Price of Power AscendedPower Ascended items was 10,000 Order Resources and the achievement should be the only gating behind this accomplishment. You shouldn't need to farm additional resources to get them, which is why their cost was reduced to 1,000 Order Resources.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your feedback, wanted to drop in a few updates/notes.

In the next build, you'll see that the required currency for each bonus item has dropped from 10000 to 1000 Order Resources. We agree that the "hard part" of getting the bonus items should be maxing out your artifact, not the grind afterwards.

In 7.2, we want these bonuses to feel like a badge of honor for players that have unlocked the final ability on their empowered artifact. For some time they'll be pretty exclusive, and this is intentional. It makes sense for the Blood Death Knight, with their bloody mount, to also have the Bloodbrood WhelplingBloodbrood Whelpling, showing off their dedication to their specialization.

It's also important to note that we also have no plans to remove these items in the future, and we will re-evaluate their acquisition in a post-artifact world. If you don't want to go for them right now, don't worry, you won't be permanently missing out on anything.

I hope this assuages some of your concerns. As always, we're looking forward to your continued feedback!

Protection Paladin

Several bugs are getting fixed in 7.2.

Blizzard LogoCelestalon (Source)

This is excellent feedback. Concise, actionable, clear, non-hyperbolic. Thank you.

You mentioned a couple of bugs in here; these are both fixed in current/upcoming 7.2 PTR builds:

  • Procs reset the swing timer. This might be a bug but this is the biggest issue with the talent. On paper, the talent should be free damage. However in practice, its actually a DPS loss. The damage lost from the swing timer resets is far more than the damage gained from the damage reflection.
  • Judgment of LightJudgment of Light
With all three Paladin specs having access to this talent, it no longer makes sense for it not to stack between multiple Paladins. It would be a nice quality of life change if it did.

Holy Paladin (Tier 20 Set Bonus)

Tier 20 Set Bonuses are still in an experimental phase. It wouldn't be a surprise to see totally different ones throughout 7.2 testing.

Blizzard LogoAerythlea (Source)

The design is very experimental at the moment and we're aware that it may have some challenges. We're keeping a close eye on it.

Will be interesting to see how the feral changes pans out. The balance between single target and multi target is somewhat sensitive at this point.

If you plan on buying the physical War Within Collector's Edition and live in Europe, you're going to have a bad time!
Blizzard has ceased distributing WoW Collector's Editions through retailers with the release of Dragonflight, making the Blizzard Store the only place to buy them. However, the shipping costs could be a dealbreaker for many collectors eager to acquire the latest edition for the upcoming expansion.
Reddit user katamai from Serbia posted a screenshot of their order, revealing that the shipping fees exceed the cost of the box itself—280 Euros for shipping compared to 200 Euros for the box, totaling 480 Euros.

Additionally, Emi, a follower on our Facebook page, reported a shipping cost of 99 Euros to Romania, nearly ten times what it costs to ship to the UK.

A practical workaround might be to order the Collector's Edition to a UK address and then use a shipping service to forward it to your address in Europe, potentially saving a considerable amount of money.
How much does it cost to ship the box to your country?

We've already talked about and taken a first look at the Delve-specific mount coming in the War Within, but now it's time to check out all of its customization options!
LeystTV has delved into the mount and shown off all the options, from the different colors to nose, wing, thruster, and top customizations, with glider, blimp, helicopter looks and more! There's even different versions of Horde and Alliance decals to choose from!

And these may not even be all the options present at launch, not to mention new ones Blizzard might add with later patches, making this one of the cooler mounts in the game.
