Why do you use Boulderfist with the 4 piece bonus of T19 gear?

I'm reading everywhere that Boulderfist isn't that good of an option anymore unless you have the 4-set bonus from the nighthold gear. However that gear does buff Stormstrike and Lavalash, so why exactly is it good to use Boulderfist then? Moreover, guides say Fury of Air is used most of the time along with Windsong, however Warcraftlogs shows even in Mythic+ people still use the Boulderfist/Crashing Storm variant. What's best to use?

It's simple: with the 4p you want to use excess maelstrom on Lava Lash to try and trigger Stormbringer. Fury of Air bleeds away your excess maelstrom. If you're not going to use FoA, then you don't need a spammable maelstrom generator so Boulderfist is going to perform better.

Exactly as Tarazet said. Also the 5% damage bonus of boulderfist helps the ability out scale the other talents as well when you're chaining stormstrikes repeatedly after force procing it with lava lash.

Keep in mind, when you spec into Boulderfist, you're also speccing into Landslide, which further enhances your Agility.

You're going to do that anyway no matter what your build is, because Ascendance for Enhancement literally does nothing at all in PvE and Earthen Spike only affects a single target.
