Actionbar spell icon, dmg missguided?!

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Im playing an arms warrior with some "normal or greater" gear for my lvl 62ish atm, and i have noticed something. Dont know if it should..

The dmg i read on the spell icons, don't match the actual dmg i do on the various mobs and characters, around my lvl.

For example... on the Slam icon, it says it will do "1.853 physical dmg", but my slam only does about 600 - 1000 dmg, if i don't do a crit ofc. And this is with all my dameging spells, seams they often do almost around half the dmg it says on the spell icon.

Is this normal Warrior or meele behavior? or, is there something not right here?

// thank full for responses!

Well, the ability's tooltip (the box that pops up when you move your mouse over the icon) doesn't account for a targets armor, which reduces the amount of physical damage they take (usually by ~33%).  It's not quite the 50% discrepancy you're seeing, so maybe posting some screenshots of the tooltip and the combat chat box showing the numbers you did (having your character sheet open would be good too) can help us find out what's causing this.

There is just one recommendation i can give you: don't bother about that, there are different parameters to determine the effective dmg done. Enoy the game, it is a normal behavior.
