We've seen Mythic +3 solos, Mythic CoS solos, Archimonde Mythic solos,  but we haven't specifically seen a SP Maw solo! As the author himself mentions, it's not specifically a video about skill, but more about what's possible with DPS specs and current gear levels (in this case, a 902 itemlevel).

To commemmorate the possible end of MoS spam in 7.2, I decided to try and solo it.
When Heroic turned out to be too easy, I obviously had to turn up the heat...

This is not a video purely about skill, but shows the power level even a dps spec can get to with high enough gear.

Healing per second/Boss:
Ymiron ~360k
Harbaron ~230k
Helya ~140k
No logs on Skjal...

Could this be a sign of a bit too much of a power curve within one expansion? I mean, he's soloing at-level mythic content. That was never even dreamed about in older expansions. Even with a high quality solo-class like shadow priest or Ret pally.

Question: What is he talking about "possible end of MoS spam in 7.2"?

He's referring to this part in the Patch Notes for 7.2:

Artifact Power rewards for Mythic Keystone dungeons have been adjusted:

  • Longer dungeons, such as Halls of Valor, now award a proportionately higher amount of Artifact Power.
  • Shorter dungeons, such as Maw of Souls, now award a proportionately lower amount of Artifact Power.
  • Artifact Power bonuses have been added to your weekly chest rewards. These increase based on the highest level Mythic Keystone you completed.

While there was no Mythic dungeon in Mists of Pandaria (Challenge existed but it's not a fair comparison as Challenge had a ilvl cap that was on Heroic dungeon level gear (463)), I could easily solo any MoP Heroic dungeon on my retridin at ~ilvl 500. ilvl 500 was about average for the second raid tier (Comparable to ToV in this xpac). I'm sure with Siege of Orgrimmar gear (ilvl 588 I was at one point on my Protadin), I would easily be able to beat Challenge if the level limit (as Retri) wasn't there and ToT (one tier lower) I would probably struggle a bit but not too much with proper usage of Flash of Light stacks.

In WoD, I had a very easy time soloing Mythic dungeons with end-game gear as Retri. It was one of the reasons that multistrike was removed. It wasn't great as a dps stat for Retri at the time (Somewhere in the middle), but it sure helped survivability more than anything.

Also, do not forget that Blizzard is increasing the difficulty for Legion Heroic and Mythic dungeons (and drops for Normal Heroic and Mythic).

The item level gap isn't that ridiculous as you might think. In MoP, Heroic dungeons (The highest dungeon tier at the time) dropped 463 items and End-game raid gear (With warforging) was ilvl 592 or 596 (I forgot, very close to that number). This represents a gap of 129 ilvls (assuming the 592 cap)

While in Legion, Mythic dungeons (Let's be fair and use those for Legion, as there's many ways to get this ilvl and higher without raiding while that was not the case in MoP) reward ilvl 840 gear, while Tomb of Sargeras, having the absolute cap at ilvl 940, is "only" a 100 ilvl difference.

Do you see what I mean? It's not that ludicrous at all.

The actual HP and Damage numbers are though... There's a reason they did a statsquish in WoD because MoP numbers were too high, and with ilvl 900+ being easily obtainable in 7.2, we're probably going to see "average" tanks with 8 million HP and mythic raiding tanks probably with 11M+ on bears.

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas talked about Patch 8.1 today and we've got the details!
Tides of Vengeance is the first content patch of BfA and it will be available for testing on PTR soon. It's time for the Alliance to strike back. Incursions are a new feature reminiscent of Legion assaults. We're going to be looking at Saurfang, Tyrande (her feelings and the aftermath of seeing Teldrassil burn in front of her eyes), and what has become of Vol'jin. Heritage Armor is coming to non-Allied Races. Dwarves and Blood Elves are first. No massive rep grind is behind this. If you're at max level and Exalted with Ironforge, you can start the quest for racial identity and get Heritage armor. On the Blood Elf side they will explore the Dead Scar (not many know that it was the aftermath of Lich King's incursion). New Warfront is coming. Alliance is going to try and reclaim Darkshore. The Warfront is heavily themed after Undead vs. Night Elves. The outdoor zone of Darkshore will be updated similar to Arathi Highlands for max level content. We're going to have two new Islands. A vrykul-themed Island as well as a gloomy abandoned Gilnean city. New Raid Zone "Siege of Zuldazar" is coming: It's quite different from any raid they've done before. The foe in this raid is the opposite faction. They have two complete separate experiences. Slight spoilers ahead, one of the thing that the Alliance War Campaign is leading to is a direct strike at the Zandalari Fleet. You will join the Alliance forces including Jaina and fight your way up to the pyramid ascending to the top to confront Rastakhan. Horde players will rush to its defense, beginning on the northern side of the pyramid ending with fighting Jaina in the High Seas. The raid will house a total of 9 bosses. The Crucible of Storms (located under Shrine of the Storm) is a raid with 2 bosses that opens later after Zuldazar and hints at Azshara. It's the Trial of Valor of the expansion. It is going to give the Horde more Stormsong Valley lore, because they haven't had the chance to be properly introduced to the zone. The patch is going to refine Azerite traits, the goal is to make them more complex, closer to set bonuses that have been removed. The patch also focuses on system-wide improvements to the game and refinements of various features. Champions of Azeroth reputation will be made account-wide. Reputation achievements will be account-wide as well. Race-specific transmog requirements are going to be lifted to faction transmogs. If you unlock it on one Horde race you can use it on other races without additional grinding. Game Director Ion Hazzikostas revealed what's coming in Patch 8.1 titled Tides of Vengeance.

Here's a statement by Adam who's working full-time on Deadly Boss Mods about the future of the addon.
If you've ever been in a guild, chances are you've come across various boss mods, since they're pretty much mandatory for raiding. BigWigs and Deadly Boss Mods are the two best-known boss mods for World of Warcraft, but this post isn't about recommending either of those addons, but merely to address the future of Deadly Boss Mods by the author and help a community member out.
All these years, Deadly Boss Mods has been maintained full-time by a single developer, Adam aka MysticalOS who has been tirelessly providing updates for the addon since its inception, without getting much in return, despite helping millions.
Today, we simply ask you to read the appeal he posted earlier this week and if you want to support his work, please click the image below.

Here's Adam's appeal taken from the Deadly Boss Mods website.

Harvest Festival is now live for one week! Alliance players can honor Uther the Lightbringer by lightning a candle at his tomb, while the Horde can show their respect to Grommash by leaving a bottle of spirits in Ashenvale. The event does not count toward What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been.
Blizzard has updated Uther's Tomb with new visuals in Battle for Azeroth. We don't know if there are any plans to use it in future content patches at the moment, but it looks great! The event will be up for one week.
For more details check out our Harvest Festival guide.

The yearly Harvest Festival is now underway in Azeroth. This is a solemn time when the Alliance honors Uther the Lightbringer by lighting a candle at his tomb in the Western Plaguelands, while members of the Horde show their respect to Grommash Hellscream by leaving a bottle of spirits at the base of the Hellscream Memorial in Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale.
      When: September 18-25
      Where: Outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar
Commemorate those who have sacrificed their lives to help friends and allies. Feasts are also held outside Ironforge and Orgrimmar in honor of these fallen heroes.
