The latest Hero to be added to the game is Cassia, the Amazon Warmatron from the Diablo universe! She's an aggressive ranged Assassin, who can mitigate a lot of damage by moving.

Cassia can blind her enemies, increasing their damage taken and much more. Make sure to watch her spotlight.

After shattering the Worldstone, the young Amazon Cassia had changed. She had seen hatred, terror, and destruction firsthand. To survive the coming darkness, she has now begun her training in the Nexus!

I was expecting the next character to be a Diablo character, but adding the Javazon is really awesome!

Normally I would be like "Oh no, back to the Assassins", but this is the homage to the 20 Year Diablo Anniversary we've been expecting. A little late, but worth nevertheless.

I can't wait to try her, and the whole Heroes of the Storm 2.0. The hype is real.

Well, I've now been proven wrong. Even with the Nova-zon skin they made the amazon a ranged assasin. I figured just on character model it might be a bit too similar. Really curious to see how she plays out. Moving makes stutter stepping really strong.

I was going to complain that we're back to the damn Assassins again(Which we have the most of), but at least they're finally celebrating Diablo's anniversary. At least it's not another damn Warcraft character,

If her damage output is going to be even close to regular auto attackers (Valla, Raynor, Zul'jin) she is going to be stupid with that 65 physical armor, but her very polarized and counterable nature and the abundance of Mages in the meta as well as Arthas being meta should keep her power somewhat in check. Seems like very good outside-the-box design, heads up from Blizzard to come up with it. Will get like 30% winrate tho as people in low levels cant stutterstep properly and all Mages are going to shred her, especially with her having lower than normal attack range. Probably will be another "Probius", good in theory but bad in competitive because counterpicking and bad in Hero League because people wont play her properly. She has some pretty ridiculous talents tho (3% giant killer on crowd controlled targents on 16 and infinitely bouncing ult on 20). Will be a lategame hero for sure.

Does this mean I have to finally learn how to shutter step? I've always been too lazy to learn it as the payoff felt too low.
She looks cool as a hero and I am definitely looking forward to seeing her in-game, though the first ult seems a bit annoying to play against.

She'd be a beast with a consistent Zarya or Etc; they pop ult to keep them in one place, you blind and ult xD The less basic attack range is appropriate given how much she can mitigate but I think she'll be really fun. Really strange not to get an announcement and just the spotlight straight off though, but I'm not complaining xD

I don't know how she fits into the meta.  It's not like Raynor and Zul'jin are the most popular picks right now, and Valla can spec into ability damage.  It's a stun heavy CC meta right now so she might be undertuned.  But her Valkyrie heroic might already be broken and I haven't even seen it used yet.  I can imagine it would be really easy to pack follow-up CC on the end of that animation.  That's instant death for a backliner that gets caught with it.

I really hope they reduce the cooldown on Cleanse sometime soon.

Seems like Blizzard finally listened to my prayers and fulfilled my inner most wish! Even though I started loosing hope, back when the Amazon Nova skin was released, deep inside, a little part of me always kept hoping for The Amazon,I've been spending days of gametime with back in Diablo II

An issue with Matchmaking Rating seeding from the previous Season caused players to be placed at significantly different ranks from where they ended in the last Season. In order to fix the issue, Blizzard will be resetting the Hero and Team League records (including placement matches) of any affected accounts tomorrow.
      Blizzard (Source)
With yesterday’s patch, a number of players unfortunately encountered an issue that caused them to be placed at ranks that were significantly different from where they ended the previous season. This issue is unrelated to our Performance-Based Matchmaking implementation, and is instead a result of an issue with Matchmaking Rating seeding from the previous season. We’ve finished diagnosing the problem and are currently working on a fix which, once completed, means that we will be resetting the Hero and Team League records (including placement matches) of any affected accounts.

In order to implement the fix without taking down the servers, we will need to disable the Hero and Team League Matchmaking queues for roughly an hour. Our current plan is to start this in all regions at some point tomorrow, Dec 14, but we will keep this thread updated if anything changes. For players that have yet to complete your ranked placement matches, we recommend waiting until this issue is addressed.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this causes for those of you that have already made significant progress into Season 1 2018. We’re extremely excited to show off the major gameplay changes included in this patch, and will be working hard to implement a fix so you can experience everything the Nexus has to offer without major issues like this. Thank you very much for your patience.
