Under preforming. Can't seem to get stats right.

Recommended Posts

Here are recent logs: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/20603727/latest/#boss=0

Here is armory: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/argent-dawn/Arlatan/simple

I'm trying to follow the standard rotation on the page, but I'm not seeing the kind of results close to SimC. I think it's in my execute phase, but I'm not sure. I'm hoping there is a rotation issue I can address, otherwise it's my gear and lack of DPS legendary drops - which I hope it isn't, because I can't improve on RNG. I want to get better, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what I need to /do/ better. I parse blue/purple on my ALT WW Monk, and thinking of just switching, because I have a hell of a time getting those results on the Warrior, which sucks, because I enjoy the class. At some point, my guild may try out mythics, so although the DPS is ok for heroics, it won't be acceptable in the potential future. I don't want to be dead weight.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello,

I'm viewing your logs from the Krosus fight. You have an enrage uptime of 58% which is very low with the 4-piece set bonus. You have to definitely work on that, as you gain your mastery dmg+ only when you are enraged. This is possibly caused by your execute rotation (see below)

DOS Rotation:

You use: CD ->RP-> DoS -> OF -> RB -> BT

Optimum with 4-P: CD-> RP -> DoS -> RB -> BT -> (OF)

The last OF is a personal thing. You can fit it in the DoS Rotation when Bloodlust is active. If not it will be not buffed from your CD's. With Convergence you have the possibilty to use it with the next reset of you CD while DoS is on Cooldown.

Use this OF rotation: CD ->RP-> RB -> OF -> BT -> RB

In the Krosus fight you messed up the rotation as you used: CD->RP->OF->DoS..

It seems that you always try to align the OF with the DoS cast which is a waste of dmg.

Execute Rotation:

This is your Execute phase: 2x Execute (EX) -> RB -> EX -> BT -> CD -> 4x Execute -> OF -> BT

The 4 Executes after your CD's were completely un-enraged. That's probably your minor error in your dps.

My Rotation for Execute phase (if CD not ready): 2x EX -> BT (repeat as long as the rage allows) If necessary fill with RB to generate Rage for the EX.

When your CD's are ready - don't just pull them. Wait for BT to be Ready (This is very important):

My rotation in this case: CD-> BT->3x EX -> BT -> 2x EX -> BT (start with normal EX Rotation)

This rotation will make your 4-5 EX fully buffed with enrage and your CD's.

I don't use DoS or OF when I stack Juggernaut to avoid loosing stacks. (This may be only a personal thing, but in mythic difficulty you have hardly the chance to stand 3 sec without moving and keeping up the juggernaut stacks)

Master these Rotations and you will master your fury.

So viewing your Gear, you have 31% haste which is used to be good. But in my personal opinion you should aim for 25% haste -> Mastery -> Versa

Any Haste over 30% is stated as too much as it does not have any use after 30%. Based on your current gear I would give you the recommendation to use mastery enchants, gems and buffood to get some additional dmg.

Don't hesitate to ask if there are open questions.

Thank you so much! I'm hitting the dummies when I get home. For practicing execute, want there a dummy in Warlords? Or was it Mists?

Also, assuming I get the rotation down, should I always use execute? I feel like in some fights, like Elisande, I just can't get enough stacks with her shorter window, and needing to switch to adds.

Our raid DPS is pretty good, and I had asked and was allowed to skip add and stick to Augur, but not sure if this would be good on other bosses.

Thanks again!

Exactly. To stack execute or not stack execute does vary on the encounter and Difficulty.

Currently I do stack it on Chronomatic Anomaly(Mythic), Trilliax (Mythic), Krosus (Mythic), Aluriel(Hc) and Augur(Hc). You'll see that in mythic it could be sometimes very hard to stack juggernaut. If you see you just cannot maintain it you can easily just build in some executes in the normal rotation.

So after you hit the 100 Rage and Rampage would be -> RB -> BT -> 1xEX

You use here execute as a filler instead of Furious Slash but only 1 time per Frothing Proc, as it will dump your rage if you use it too often. If you get the Ayala's legendary you will use that proc's in between as Filler anyway.

the rotation works more fluid with the legendary helmet.

I would appreciate to see the log file of your next raid to see if you managed the rotation changes.

I'll definitely deliver. Next raid is tomorrow, so I have a day to practice. My usual rotation when CD is down, is usually BT > Enraged RB > FS > BT > RB, etc. Hitting RP asap.

Also,

What do you mean by this? Don't pop CD's until they are all synched up?

BT means Bloodthirst.

I use a Makro to pop Avatar always with Battlecry as it would not make sense to use Avatar without Battlecry. If Avatar is on Cooldown it will use only Battlecry.

I'll try to explain the idea behind that sentence:

Let's assume we have a boss on 20% health and execute phase begin. Normally you don't have your personal CD's ready when the phase begin. So you will proceed with your normal execute rotation to get juggernaut stacks. If you want to use my rotation it would be 2x EX -> BT until your personal CD's are ready.

So your CD's are Ready now but you are still in your rotation and maybe just used Bloodthirst. BT has some small Cooldown of 3-4 seconds. If you pop the CD's now while BT is on Cooldown you will cast the executes not enraged. Meaning you will not profit from your mastery. (In my case -50% dmg)

You clearly want to wait until BT is off the Cooldown, press your CD's and instantly cast BT to get enraged. Now you have 3xEX with the Frothing Buff+Enrage+CD's

What I saw in your logs was that your Execute hits when you pop your CD's were not enraged.

So the worst case would be you just press BT and got no Crit. Your enrage is not triggered and BT is on 4 sec Cooldown. You pop now Avatar+Battlecry. You cannot use Rampage as it will consume all your rage. So the next 2 Hit's will be 100% crits, but no ability will enrage you.

The best case is when you pop your CD's and instantly cast BT to get enraged. Following 3 fully buffed EX, again BT to reapply enrage and maybe gain some additional Rage and proceed with the normal Execute rotation.

This would look like: CD's -> BT -> EX -> EX -> EX -> BT -> EX -> EX -> BT...

Raid/Class Spots Are Open To Any Applicant If The Player Is The Right Fit
A guild formed with an ambition for progression and a love for M+ we decided to make the move from Silvermoon Alliance and form a guild to take our focus to the next level, Cutting Edge in 10.1 being the next step.
We believe in building a guild by recruit players of a similar goal and mentality whether it be for raiding or for push score in Mythic plus. We value loyalty, honesty and a positive attitude towards setbacks. Communication skills are an absolute must.
      Raid Schedule
      Wednesday 20:30-23:00 Sunday 20:30-23:00
      Current Progression
      9/9HC 5/9M
What are we looking for recruitment wise?
We're currently open to recruiting DPS classes listed above, as we aim to solidify a stable 25-player roster. We're looking to provide competition to existing members and choose the best 25 players to proceed with for next tier.
      Contact Information:
      Discord; tomsen and lora1506

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes.
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30PM to 8:30PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.
We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a *filtered*, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing. You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights.  Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://gow.gg/fun-is-for-casuals under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.

      Hi Team
I am recently returning from a few years away from the game and I have decided to go back to my much loved main throughout wrath, the feral druid. I have always been a cut above the rest and managed to be top dps all through wrath.
I was reading your guide and noticed in the talents you don't take savage roar. Can you explain the match behind this as to me it seems like the more viable option.
