wow 7.2 Hotfixes: April 10th

Today we get some Artifact Challenge nerfs, a solid amount of PvE class changes (all artifact trait related), PvP changes to the itemlevels of rewards, Order Hall mission reward buffs, pretty big Cathedral of Eternal Night nerfs and some item fixes, including the clearly most important one: "Potion of Trivial Invisibility should now make you invisible. You should be trivially invisible, but invisible nonetheless."

Artifact Challenges

  • Inquisitor Variss's health has been reduced by 10%.
  • Nether Horror’s health has been reduced by 20%.

Classes

Class Halls

  • More Follower missions are now available for players who have several followers above item level 855.
  • Challenge Mission now has a reward of Champion's Trophy.
  • The Cathedral of Eternal Night World Quest enabled by the Command Center building now awards Legionfall reputation.

Dungeons

    • Agronox
      • Reduced Timber Smash damage by 20% on all difficulties.
    • Thrashbite the Scornful
      • Pulverizing Cudgel’s unavoidable damage reduced by 30% on all difficulties.
    • Domatrax
      • Reduced the amount of damage from Shadow Sweep on Mythic difficulties.
      • Hellblaze Mistresses do significantly less damage on Mythic difficulties.
    • Mephistroth
      • Mephistroth health reduced by 30% on all difficulties.
      • Felblaze damage reduced by 30% on all difficulties.
      • Demonic Upheaveal’s unavoidable damage reduced by 60% on all difficulties.
      • Creeping Shadows gain stacks more slowly on all difficulties.
      • Shadow Blast impact damage reduced by 50% on all difficulties.

Items

  • Infallible Tracking CharmInfallible Tracking Charm now does an appropriate amount of damage in Timewalking dungeons.
  • Potion of Trivial InvisibilityPotion of Trivial Invisibility should now make you invisible. You should be trivially invisible, but invisible nonetheless.
  • Weapon appearances from the Armaments of the Ebon Blade and Armaments of the Silver Hand should be restricted to Death Knight and Paladin, respectively.
  • Dreadstone of Endless ShadowsDreadstone of Endless Shadows may now proc from healing spells, as well as damaging spells. The tooltip will be updated to reflect this in a future patch.
  • Splinters of Agronox will no longer drop for characters whose Loot Specialization is set to a Tank specialization.

Player versus Player

  • Mage
    • Fixed a bug where a Fire Mage's Mastery: IgniteMastery: Ignite could interact incorrectly with DuelDuel (Arms Warrior PvP Talent), resulting in significantly reduced or increased damage to secondary targets.
    • Cauterizing BlinkCauterizing Blink's heal is reduced by 50% in PvP situations.
  • For rated PvP, we’re adjusting the item levels for some end-of-match rewards, weekly rewards, and Gladiator obliterum tokens:
    • End-of-match rewards for players whose rating is between 0 and 1799 have been improved, starting at a minimum item level of 870 (was 865).
    • Weekly rewards have been raised to a minimum of 880 (was 870).
    • The tokens purchased with Echoes of Battle, gained by obliterating Gladiator gear, now create an item at item level 880 (was 865).
    • These changes will take effect this week with maintenance in your region.

WHAT!?! Was finally beginning to actually be competitive again without the shoulders and now you ruin one of the best parts of 7.2?!

Cobra Commander needed a huge buff, but Thunderslash did not need such a huge nerf!

I wonder if the change to gear bought with echos of battle is retroactive - probably not.

Typical Blizzard Balance. They only know heavy in- or decrease. Blizzard ignores the Way of Buddha. You have the choice, Play, Obey and Pay or quit playing and progress your real char. If the incoming Guardian Druid nerf will take place, i will quit.

Hahaha look at the hard cathedral nerf...glad I did it pre nerf on all difficulties...

Yesterday a CoEN +7 with teeming & explosive

      Midsummer Fire Festival is here and there are several updates this year.

      Qiraji Guardling is available in Azeroth right now and can the pet can be caught in Silithus. 
      The pet is no tradeable, so you won't be able to sell it, but if you're a pet collector, catching a Rare version will take some time.
      Catching Qiraji Guardling is required for the Kalimdor Safari achievement.

      Mythic Tomb of Sargeras will bring with it some class tuning as well, as Havoc, Survival, Windwalker and Affliction get some tweaks. In case you missed it, there were also some hotfixes earlier today featuting tuning some of the ToS bosses. The Mythic raid is coming tomorrow in the US, Wednesday for the EU and Thursday for Asia servers, bringing with it the progress race!

      We continue to closely follow the performance of all specs in Patch 7.2.5, with particular focus on Tomb of Sargeras, and we're looking to make a few targeted adjustments with maintenance in each region, starting tomorrow:

      Demon Hunter Havoc Damage of all abilities increased by 2%. Demon's Bite damage increased by 46%. Effect of Mastery: Demonic Presence (damage only) increased by 7%.
      Hunter Survival Damage of all abilities increased by 4%.
      Monk Windwalker Damage of all abilities increased by 2.5%. Fists of Fury damage increased by 12%.
      Warlock Affliction Corruption and Agony damage reduced by 5%.

      A new round of hotfixes is here, with fixed to Sisters of the Moon, The Desolate Host and Kil'jaeden encounters in the Tomb of Sargeras. Ahune's Illusion: Deathfrost is now rewarded from the Satchel of Chilled Goods instead of the Ice Chest.
      If you haven't obtained the illusion yet, don't forget that you can queue up for Ahune at lower levels. Hurry! You've got time until July 5 before Midsummer's over!

Finally, a bug was fixed, where several versions of Lamps of Al'Abas increased Pickpocketing gold gain. You can find more information about new 7.2.5 Pickpocketing quests for Rogues here.

      Dungeons and Raids
      Completing your first Legion Heroic dungeon each day will now award you with 5 Writhing Essences, if you’re eligible. Tomb of Sargeras Sisters of the Moon Captain Yathae Moonstrike will no longer target pets with rapid shot. She feels it is beneath her station. Multiple Sisters should no longer become active at the same time. All the sisters should no longer become inactive at the same time. The Desolate Host Players should no longer be kept in combat for up to a minute after the end of this encounter. Kil'jaeden Kil'jaeden will no longer change facing while casting Bursting Dreadflame. Shaman totems will no longer fail to hit when their caster has Illidan's Sightless Gaze during Kil'jaeden’s second intermission. Items
      Illusion: Deathfrost is now awarded from the Satchel of Chilled Goods instead of the Ice Chest. It is not awarded from the Knapsack of Chilled Goods. Addressed an issue where multiple versions of the Lamp of Al'Abas increased pickpocketing income. Corrected an issue where upgrading Siege of Orgrimmar Heirlooms changed their stat values, and made them appear to be usable at level 1. Previous Hotfixes

      Zen Pilgrimage should correctly return you to your previous location when cast from Peak of Serenity or Wandering Isle. Mistweaver The second stack of Thunder Focus Tea (with Focused Thunder talent) now correctly affects Essence Font. Player versus Player
