Trueshot Mastery works well. For pets, depends on what you are facing. Spider root and monkey stun are useful.

what i run for MM for 8.0.1 is this

15: [Serpent Sting] Or [A Murder of Crows]

30:[Careful Aim]

45:[Camoflage] (i use this to cloak past people and use double tap/Hunters mark to try and burst them down) or [Natural Mending]

60:[Hunter's Mark] [Streamline] or [Steady Focus] anything in this line is great

75: [Binding Shot] (i use this to keep people away from me or allys)

90: [Double tap] ( is great for burst damge) or [Lethal Shot]

100:[Lock and Load]

PVP(NOTE THIS IS WHAT I RUN)

1:[Gladiator's Medalion]

2: [Hi-Explosive Trap] (its funny kicking people off maps or just get them away from you)

3: [Sniper Shot] Good for long range but not best for 2v2/3v3 so i would take [Scatter Shot] Or take [Spider Sting] if they have a warlock

4:[Viper Sting]

hope this helps

barbed shot / feeding frenzy as marksman? 😄

^--- Under Azerite traits, Feeding Frenzy is listed as a good trait for marksman. I beg to differ. 😄

Will the MM guide be updated for 8.1 like SV and BM, or is MM totally hopeless in pvp this patch?

The 8.2 raid has us venturing into Queen Azshara's Eternal Palace and face off against her most powerful minions, so today we'll be taking a stroll through the palace, courtesy of LeysTV. The Queen herself was only recently tested on the PTR, but first let's take a look at the first 7 bosses we'll be facing, as well as the lengthy intro to the raid:
Then it's on to one of WoW's bigger big bads, with the the first part of the former Night Elf queen encounter consisting of her standing on the sidelines and having us fight even more minions, as she tosses out decrees from the sidelines. This first test had us facing off against Aethanel and Cyranus, the cursed lovers as Azshara calls them.
We didn't get to see much more past these first two in the first batch of raid testing, as the queen's decrees proved quite tricky, as you can see from this testing session by Kalamazi.
The raid is looking good so far and hopefully it will live up to expectations, especially with the World First race, where we've recently gotten a brand new champion with Pieces having defeated Method in the Crucible of Storms, so the Eternal Palace should be a very exciting one in that department as well.
And finally, let's all remind ourselves just how much of a badass Azshara can be:

Today, we're looking at two faction-specific mounts which require Exalted reputation standing with the new Patch 8.2 factions.
Ankoan Waveray is an Alliance mount which can be purchased for 250 Prismatic Manapearls from Artisan Okata in Mezzamere and requires Exalted reputation standing with Waveblade Ankoan.
      Ankoan Waveray
The Ankoan have been battling the naga for years, and with a natural affinity for the sea, training the local wildlife was a natural strategy.

      Unshackled Waveray
The Unshackled have a natural kinship with the species of the deep seas that have seen cruelty at the hands of the naga.
Unshackled Waveray is a Horde mount which can be purchased for 250 Prismatic Manapearls from Finder Pruc in Newhome and requires Exalted reputation standing with the Unshackled.

Mechagon and Nazjatar have been added to the map of Kul Tiras in the latest 8.2 PTR build. In this post, we're taking a closer look at how to get there.

Mechagon and Nazjatar on the map of Kul Tiras.
      Mechagon
      1. How to Reach Mechagon
The intro quest line can be picked up in Boralus (Alliance) and Dazar'alor (Horde). You must travel to Tiragarde Sound and enter the vault to Mechagon.

Then, there's a short quest which needs to be done in order to travel to the new zone for the first time.
Flight Master's Whistle can be used to quickly reach the flight master in this location. You will be able to fly from Mechagon to all your unlocked flight points on Kul Tiras.

      2. How to Return to Mechagon
Horde players can talk to Captain Krooz at the Port of Zandalar to return to Mechagon at any time. Alliance will have a similar Gnome NPC equivalent located in Boralus after they finish the quest line.

      Nazjatar
      1. How to Reach Nazjatar
A new quest should be available in Boralus (Alliance) and Port to Zandalar (Horde) once Patch 8.2 goes live. You will find it aboard Banshee's Wail near Nathanos when playing Horde, so it's going to be similar on the Alliance side with the quest starting on the ship in Boralus. Flight Master's Whistle can't be used in Nazjatar... for now.
      2. Returning to Nazjatar
When you complete the Nazjatar intro quest line, a portal in Boralus and Dazar'alor will open, allowing you to teleport to the new hubs Mezzamere (Alliance) and Newhome (Horde).
On the Horde side, the portal's located in the Hall of Ancient Paths near Oculeth.

In Mezzamere, there's a portal back to Boralus and you'll find a portal to Zuldazar in Newhome.
