Unholy Death Knight PvP 7.2

Guest Jaedric

Thanks for taking the time to write up this guide! However, unless I'm missing something that might be on the ptr, Clawing Shadows is in the tier with Castigator and not All Will Serve.

Thank you for the guide. From your recent experience, how effective are DK's in 2v2 and 3v3 and what are noteworthy combos that include DK's? For example, is resto Druid/unholy DK a good comp? Thanks

They are most certainly effective, but more so in 2v2 than 3v3. RDruid and HPaladin are probably the best choices for UHDK right now.

3.3. Remaining Traits

After this, you should head for your last Golden Trait, Icon Double Doom, picking up any remaining traits after that. Although there is no particular order to get the remaining traits, you should look to get Icon Deadly DurabilityIcon Plaguebearer, and Icon Rotten Touch. You should get Icon Armies of the Damned last because Army of the Dead Icon Army of the Dead is not usable in PvP.

This last sentence should be changed or removed, because it applies for Ghouls summoned by Apocalypse, and can offer great utility especially in arenas.

Isn't Dark Arbiter the best talent choice right now?

For what in particular? AFAIK, it's still Soul Reaper for 3v3.

In the macro section it lists a macro for "focus asphyxiate" and in the text it's currently set to stun the target you're targeting. Should be changed to

#showtooltip Asphyxiate

/cast [target=focus] Asphyxiate

Currently Dark Iron cannot be DK's (for some reason)

In PvP, Unholy Strength is only a 10% increase to strength, not 15%.

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
