Rogues are getting new Pickpocketing quests that earn them up to 5,000 Gold every week and offer various rewards in Patch 7.2.5.

  • Pickpocketing's getting new quests in Patch 7.2.5 and you can start them at Level 100
  • You can earn 5,000 Gold every week  (I'll Take Those, Thanks!) and possibly more rewards, like pets and a toy
  • NPCs involved are Al'Abas and Griftah
  • New Pickpocketing Currency - Coins of Air
  • Rogues will empower their lamps to improve loot (Source: High Fash-Djinn quest description - see below)

Below are quest related to Pickpocketing sorted alphabetically.

  • Coins of Air (Reward: Lamp of Al'AbasLamp of Al'Abas)
    • I would be much interested in these magical trinkets that reside in the pockets of the denizens of this land, and humbly offer my services in helping you acquire them, <name>. However, I sadly cannot pay you in the coin of this realm. What I can offer are ephemera - coins of purest air. They're better than nothing, though! Carry my lamp with you. Drop the treasures you steal within, and I will grant you these coins. Perhaps the former owner of my lamp would have a use for them.
  • High Fash-Djinn (Reward: Gleaming Lamp of Al'AbasGleaming Lamp of Al'Abas)
    • With my newly empowered lamp, I sense further, more valuable trinkets in the pockets of these elves and demons. Fetch them for me!
  • I'll Take Those, Thanks! (Weekly Quest / Reward: 4,999 Gold, 99 Silver, 80 Copper when you turn in 10,000 Coins of Air)
    • These coins, dey be vanishin' inta air ya say? Dat be soundin' perfect, as I have jus the fella ta give dem to.
  • In the Land of Magic
    • I think I see the problem. Your puny eyes are too weak to detect the mana-infused finery that these elves have spread throughout the land. They've been wearing jewelry the entire time, and you simply couldn't see it. I propose a partnership, my newly minted associate. My lamp currently suffers from an embarrassing lack of magic and could always use more beautiful decorations. I propose a trade. I shall pierce this sinister Sindorei veil, and you shall give me the spoils of your theft.
  • Loyalty Is Its Own Reward (Collect 1,000 Coins of Air / Reward: Shining Lamp of Al'AbasShining Lamp of Al'Abas)
    • I offer you a challenge, mortal. Obtain a thousand of my coins, and I believe that I can empower my lamp and the vision within.
  • Shine Bright Like a Diamond (reference for Rihanna's Diamonds song)
    • Oh, I be sorry. Dat lamp look like it could use some shinin'. I happen to have just da ting.
  • The Mysterious, Magnificent Al'Abas
    • I see you, puny mortal! I appreciate your concern for my lamp!
  • Wanna Buy a Lamp? (Purchase Dubious LampDubious Lamp from Griftah / Reward: Grimy LampGrimy Lamp )
    • Ey dere, wanna buy a lamp? You be not regrettin' it.

A new week with new chances for beta keys!
It's a new week and the perfect opportunity to give out a new batch of beta keys for Battle for Azeroth! This week, we're going to be putting multiple contests into certain news posts that discuss something WoW-related. Each post will act as a separate contest that users can enter, with a total of 4 going live on the forums and an additional 1 on Twitter.
We understand that it can be tough to keep track of which contest is where, so this post will act as a homepage for the upcoming contests. You can check back here to see exactly which contests are live, what you have to do to enter and how many keys are being given away.
Please note that you cannot enter any contests on this post directly; you will need to follow the link to the contest and enter there.
Here is the list of this week's contests:
[FORUM] Giveaway 1 - [Closed] All winners for G1 have been contacted by PM. [FORUM] Giveaway 2 - [Closed] All winners for G2 have been contacted by PM. [FORUM] Giveaway 3 [Closed] Winners will be contacted for G3 shortly. [FORUM] Giveaway 4 - [Live] Giveaway ends when poll ends. Vote in poll for chance to win.  Winners chosen at random. [FORUM] Will go live 23/06 While the giveaway-specific rules are listed above, we also have a general set of rules that apply to every giveaway. You can find them listed here.
We wish any entrants the best of luck in each giveaway they enter and hope that we'll see many of you enjoying the beta shortly after! For any questions you might have about this post or the giveaways, you can ask them in this thread and I will do my best to answer them promptly.

So, we have another 25 beta keys to share with our community and we thought we'd go a little historical this time around, focusing on the raiding aspect of WoW. Since we do raid race coverage here at Icy Veins and have plenty of top raiders in our guide writing ranks, it only seems apt for us to try and find out which guild our community thinks was the best of all time.
Personally, I'm clearly biased, as I used to play in Nihilum, who were at the very top for a while there at the start of WoW, but don't worry, all you have to do is actually vote and you'll be eligible for a key, there's no actual "correct" answer and we've also provided an option for those of you who don't know any of these guilds. And if you want to check some stats on the various guilds, just so you can get it right, you can head on over to Method's World Fist Timeline.
So, let's see who comes out on top, and if you don't have a strong opinion on the matter, just go for the last poll answer! You can also check out out main giveaway thread as there will be one more this week or you can just keep an eye out on the frontpage!

The Legion Companion App will serve as the main World of Warcraft mobile application from July 11 and onwards to Battle for Azeroth.
After the retirement of the Remote Auction House, it is time to bid farewell to the WoW Mobile Armory App as well. Players will have a single mobile application, since the Legion Companion App will be converted into a new WoW Companion App, which will contain new features from Battle for Azeroth as well as favourite features from the original application (probably the guild chat).
We just hope this application maintains its light size, unlike the Hearthstone game app!
      Blizzard Entertainment
As of July 11, 2018, we will no longer be supporting the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app. But this isn’t the end of the road, as we’re continuing to develop and improve our mobile offering for World of Warcraft.
As a part of our commitment to providing WoW players with a living, connected experience on multiple fronts, we are transitioning away from the current World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app and will be converting the Legion Companion App into a new WoW Companion App in the future. As part of that, we’ll be incorporating many of your favorite World of Warcraft Armory app features along with features for Battle for Azeroth into a new shared app for a more streamlined experience. Stay tuned for more information.

It's time to get creative! We're giving away 25 Battle for Azeroth Beta keys to those who come up with the most fun and unique WoW character name.
It does not matter whether you're creating a new character or not, we want to see fun World of Warcraft character names you can come up with down in the comments!
      🧐Rules (Let's keep it short and simple)🧐
Reply to this thread with the Character name of your choice and don't forget to include your Class/Race/Specialization if applicable.  Be creative and make us laugh! We're not interested in seeing names that can easily be found on Google's Page #1 search. Example entries: Oprahwindfury (Shaman), Restorafarian (Druid), DrShocktopus (Shaman), Retbull (Retribution Paladin - Tauren), Priestitute (Priest), etc. Check out our Giveaway Rules and Information for more details about giveaways in general. This thread will be automatically closed in 24 hours (June 23, 2018 at 6:30 PM CEST) and we'll be selecting winners based on our choice! Winners will be notified via PM. We are looking forward to reading your entries!
      🍀Good luck!🍀

Several redditors spotted a new entry in the beta/PTR event calendar, featuring the pre-expansion event. It's already started on the PTR and it's called the War of the Thorns, featuring conflict in Darkshore for control of Teldrassil. Now, we know how that particular "control" ends up, but hopefully the event itself won't be as fire-y!
Also, based on the length of the event, it seems most likely we'll be seeing it come up on live servers on or around July 17th, if we assume it will last until the expansion launch itself, so we have a little over three and a half weeks until we see the pre-expansion event and the pre-patch itself as well! It's a little unclear if the Battle for Lordaeron will be part of the pre-patch or will be available at launch, so the date might actually be a little earlier since it seems logical that the events won't overlap, as one is caused by the other. so another possible date would be July 10th.

Also, check out what you should do before the pre-patch goes live, as there are achievements to be had that will be removed.
