Patch 7.2.5 - Timewalking Kazzak, Azuregos & Dragons of Nightmare

Recommended Posts

A new daily quest The Originals was added in Patch 7.2.5, indicating the return of Lord Kazzak, Azuregos and the Dragons of Nightmare. They will be enabled during Timewalking, because the quest reward is 25 Timewarped Badges.

  • Long ago, great terrors walked our lands, and drove even the smallest to flights of heroism. I speak, of course, about Lord Kazzak, Azueregos, and the Dragons of Nightmare. Legends have it that so sought after were their treasures, that armies would camp overnight to hunt them down. We have felt disturbances in the timeways, coincidentally located where these giants once roamed. Would you mind investigating for us? Strange things happen during this time of year

It's not historically accurate unless we can drag the greens through other guilds' setup point to get rid of them.

This is kind of a neat concept really. Classic move on Blizzard's part to reuse the same bosses, however reintroducing these encounters will allow all the new players who started in WoD and Legion, and even MoP and Cata, to partake. Albeit they probably won't be as difficult as when they were current content (cue the that someone who has been playing since Vanilla who would be so quick to start the "Back in Vanilla..." conversation). But we all get to see what it was like nonetheless!

Re-use original models or use EN models...

For the sake of nostalgia I'm going to guess they will use the original models.

I would assume so, otherwise they don't really have any reason to re-introduce these.

SimulationCraft has just updated their site with prelimiary pre-raid DPS sims. Check them out to see how your class performs in a simulated Patchwerk raid encounter in Patch 9.0.2!
DISCLAIMER: Note that the simulations are a work in progress and not all profiles are created equal. For example, not every class is using a Legendary or proper Conduit rank. SimulationCraft is open source and you can contribute to make it better!
The pre-raid simulation includes Legendaries for most classes*, and it assumes that all players are at Item Level 184 during a Patchwerk-style (nuke boss) encounter.

*Not all sim profiles have Legendaries. All Warlock specs and Windwalker Monks to be precise.

A player has spent 5 million gold in life to purchase Mighty Caravan Brutosaur and become the most convenient NPC while AFK in the afterlife!
Only Engineers have access to an Auction House in Oribos, so Bearded_Bear96 decided to take things into their own hands and bought Mighty Caravan Brutosaur when the mount was still available in BfA. Whenever the player goes AFK, they park the mount that comes with an Auctioneer conveniently near the mailbox.

Many players are thankful for the service because they do not need to go to Orgrimmar/Stormwind to purchase and put items in the Auction House. In the end, this is not about just one individual! Kudos to every player that stands near a mailbox on their brutosaur mount in Oribos when they go AFK!

We compiled a list of daily/weekly goals for the second week of Shadowlands! You will be able to forge your first Legendary item this week!
The weekly reset has just hit NA realms, so we compiled a list of important things you should do after the reset in your region.
      Level 60 Players
If you reached Level 60, you should complete Fracture Chambers and Mort'regar Layer 3 to acquire new Legendary Power recipes and 610 Soul Ash. Additionally, you can complete Remnants of Hope, a new quest from Bolvar for 100 Soul Ash. Check out our Legendary Powers guide to learn more about Legendary Power recipes you can acquire from Fracture Chambers and Mort'regar this week. If you gathered 810 Soul Ash from last week and complete the new Torghast layers this week, you should now have enough Soul Ash to craft your first Legendary Item. Complete your weekly quests to cap Renown (max level is 6 this week). The weekly quest that requires you to save souls from the Maw is now available! Complete the two weekly dungeon quests for Anima. Complete Callings for an Item Level 184 item. Complete the Wrath of the Jailer Event for an Item Level 183 item. Complete the Maw weekly quests to increase your reputation with Ve'nari and buy a socket for your Legendary Armor piece. Complete XP missions to level up Adventurers so that they can complete Soul Ash missions. Fresh Level 60 Players
Choose a Covenant. Unlock Runecarving and Torghast. Make use of the Renown catch-up system to reach Renown level 6. Farm Heroic dungeons for Item Level 171 gear, and Mythic for Item Level 184 gear.

The World Quest for Sorrowbane is currently up on EU servers. The two-hand weapon is relatively easy to acquire and has Item Level 180, which is almost on par with Mythic dungeons loot.
Update: The quest is now live on US servers too!
The sword requires some preparation if you want to get it, but you should not have any issues if you follow these steps:
Buy 1 Strength of Blood from Ta'tru at 51, 79 in Revendreth. The potion costs 30 crafting reagents that you must either collect or buy on the Auction House. Do note that the items required to purchase the potion change regularly. Buy 1 Potion of Unusual Strength from Au'larrynar at 54, 48 in Maldraxxus. The potion costs 1 gold. Bind your Hearthstone to the Theater of Pain at 51, 30 in Maldraxxus. Wait for the A Few Bumps Along the Way World Quest and complete it at 41, 50 in Maldraxxus to receive 2 stacks of Battle Hardened. Collect 4 stacks of mushroom buffs (Edible Redcap) at around 77, 57 in Maldraxxus. Hearth back to the Theater of Pain. Use Strength of Blood and Potion of Unusual Strength to pull out the sword at 51, 49 in Maldraxxus. Now, you will receive Sorrowbane. You can also check out the following video by ZaFrostPet.
If you do the mushroom part last and there are lots of players, you might not make it due to their insanely low respawn rate, which is why you should check the spot where you click the 4 mushrooms before starting the World Quest, as pointed out by Gloomlusti.

Players have recently discovered a Shrek reference in Shadowlands.
The Shrek reference can be found in Maldraxxus. The "Some Body"  refers to the Smash Mouth song in Shrek, The Rampaging Gladiator's Shrek, and the Skeletal Steed is the donkey. Pus-In-Boots refers to Puss in Boots.
