Is the BM Hunter +6% overall damage buff new? I don't remember seeing it discussed before these notes came out.

Why did they need to nerf this talent even further? It was already in a bad state and they reduced it down from 10% to 5%, probably to make it compatible with the legendary ring. I still hate how they are making it so it is almost mandatory for us to have an RNG based ring, which will obviously be BiS, for us to really get the most of of our damage. I'm really getting tired of all these legendaries and set bonuses that are made to fix bad dps for specs, when the better option would be to mix it into the rotation baseline, and the legendaries and tier sets just strengthen it... not so much where they are required...

This was being discussed as a general thing for loads of specs from what I remember, in an attempt to balance pre-raid meters, basically. BM probably just got thrown in there too.

Was available on the wowhead patch notes in detail.

http://www.wowhead.com/news=263129/all-the-class-and-artifact-trait-changes-in-patch-7-2-5

If you go down to the hunter section there's a whole list of changes to Cobra Shot and Kill Command, as well as the artifact trait nerfs too.

It's good to see that despite the massive nerf to the up-time of BW, they've really increased the damage our two main abilities do.

Nerf bear tanks more... For real?

To be fair, bears aren't in any danger. They're still going to be taken as tanks because of how unbelievably strong they were prior to the nerf. They are nowhere near what some of the other tanks were like at launch! If we reach that point, then we should probably start getting worried!

true, but still they nerfed ironfur twice, they remove a have magical defense cd, leaving us with no magic defense, and they reduce our rage generation. They let us into a raid with heavy magic damage with no active mitigation, while they crop down our physical mitigation. Next thing theyll nerf our heath pool they only thing that still makes us shine.

I guess it depends on the way you look at it. Kill Command and Cobra shot both got a 20% damage increase, as well as the 6% overall aura buff. It will definitely make the downtime between BW casts a lot smoother, especially now that 2 charges of Dire Beast is baseline, but the burst BM will be able to generate will be absolutely insane. I'm already peaking at almost 3m on every pull as BM, having that massive damage increase there will mean our burst is fantastic, but the reduced uptime might hurt our overall dps a bit.

Especially once you take into consideration the t20 set bonuses, the GCD reduction on aspect of the wild and if you're lucky enough to have the belt then the pure dps you'll be able to pump out will be insane.

Once our mastery and haste scales a little bit higher with gear it'll be even better; by the time it gets towards the end of mythic gearing I have a feeling the amount of crit and haste we'll have will make up for the nerfs to BW uptime.

From the current feelycraft on PTR, most hunters are saying it feels similar to live, but I have a feeling that's mostly just due to the gear that's available as well as how much downtime we'll have between each burst phase. Looking like a definite buff moving into ToS.

Plus, for any hunters that liked the Stomp + OWTP playstyle, that's making a resurgence if you can get the new Soul of the Huntmaster ring; 2pc t19 and 4pc t20 means you'll get the best of both worlds and you'll be able to play either style of game if you're lucky enough to get the ring.

The thing that excites me the most about BM is that we've only got two new legendaries, and Parsel's chest works great if you're using Dire Frenzy, and the ring works great if you're keen to run Stomp + OWTP (or even Blink Strikes and Dire Frenzy for some insane cleave!)

Another thing to note, the Mantle of Command will still be one of the top legendaries, but only by a much smaller margin; it's similar now to the Apex Predator ring, but the 5% buff applies to ALL of your damage not just your main pet; and with such a consistent uptime, it's looking like it's still a viable option.

TL;DR - BM looks a lot smoother this patch, no more requiring of any legendary for top-tier performance.

I am a noob destro lock (lvl 46 only), and I wanted to ask whether this is a buff or a nerf, because I do not even have all of the spells, so I am not sure about their usability pre-7.2.5 and even less so about post-7.2.5.
The 10-shard system and 10% dmg increase makes it seem like a buff, but again, I am quite bad at this game.

The state of warlocks at the moment is in complete chaos, it's very hard to tell which will come out the best in terms of single target and aoe dps, looking like it's still affliction and demo as top, but destro will be more viable than it has been for NH.

Overall, destro changes look to be a good buff - definitely fixes some of the problems it had.

I tested destro a lot on the PTR and I can definitely say that it is a slight dps increase even without the QOL improvements it has received, and with those QOL improvements (Such as no random overcapping anymore) it makes it almost on-par with affliction and demo. One important thing to note is that some of the CD's got increased but also their damage (Although this is slightly disproportionate) this means that the overall damage of those abilities has been reduced in terms of DPS slightly, but the burst they give is higher. Because you cast them slightly less often now, you also save up a few GCD's for your normal spells during the encounter. This difference is quite noticeable on 6-8 minute fights.

As for how it goes with the NEW set bonuses, I haven't tried that out yet (Wanted to see if it's any good even without them), so I don't know how far it pulls ahead OR falls behind compared to the two other specs.

But would make alot of sense

Also is the CD reduction of bw going down to 12 sec per cast or is the less uptime only a reference to the loss of 4-set ?

Was a bit unclear on it since it doesn't say anything about it here

It's been tested, the Apex ring only applied the 5% to your main pet, and the 5% from the shoulders (while not stacking) applies to ALL your dps.

Yes, Dire Beast CD reduction going down to 12 sec and 4set being nerfed. But it's made up by the 20% increase to KC and CS as well as the 6% aura increase. On PTR it's pretty similar dps to live, but burst dps has been significantly increased, especially when we get the T20 bonuses.

Weird that it isn't included in patch notes that it is all of the dps, but i will take your word for it

I'm assuming that it won't matter much anyway with new ring coming and Bracers being bis atleast for as long as COF is viable

Thanks for the clarification

  • Beast Mastery
    • The Mantle of Command: Redesigned. Dire Beast / Dire Frenzy increases the damage done by your pets by 5% for 8 seconds.

Straight from the patch notes. It's a minor technicality in its phrasing - it applies to your main pet, hati, AMoC, Dire Beasts etc and it SHOULD also apply to your damage (not that that's even all that relevant since our pets do 80% of our damage) so it works out to be around a 4% flat increase.

The new ring is looking to be best when combined with the Stomp + OWTP setup, which I'm sure you'll be excited to run again since you used to love it :P

Combined with Dire Frenzy it's not that great on ST, unless you want Blink Strikes for AoE. BiS leggos are looking more along the lines of Parsel's chest and Mantle / Roar.

Bracers are only really viable if you have a 915+ CoF, otherwise the stats on it just get lost way too easily.

Yeah, especially the 2 charges of Dire Beast becoming baseline - very exciting for those of us who went the entire patch raiding without the shoulder *cries*.

The nerfs to our artifact traits was a harsh blow, but this should easily make up for it.

Well if that is the phrasing then it's just straight up worse than ring ? since you don't get all the pet specializations

Or am i just stupid and missing something ? :D

And chest is just a max 4% dps increase ( not during initial seconds of burst for example)

and in my opinion running OWTP without boots is just not worth it :)

SO as i can see  it's basicly just to run Belt and then every other legy is kinda meh ? or am i being dumb ? :D

NOte: revisited the post about the new legendaries and noticed that ring now gives BF instead of DS, With that in mind i will go out on a limb and say that second best talent row + belt will be by far the best legendary setup to run and i mean by far. could be wrong tho if i misunderstood any of the other changes but to me that ring seems absolutly crazy

It's 5% to ALL your damage, not just your main pet. When you look at how much extra damage you do from AMoC & Hati, that is affected by the shoulders now not just the ring, making it significantly better.

I wouldn't shun the 4% damage increase, that 4% applies to everything, not to mention 8% leech would be absolutely amazing for prog.

http://eyesofthebeast.com/2017/05/patch-7-2-5-beast-mastery-preview-builds-legendaries-and-set-bonuses/

Keep in mind the above sims are completely open to change, but the chest looks veeery strong at the moment.

Belt and shoulders seem very similar in terms of output. So realistically, if you're going to run belt / shoulders still, that's an awesome combo.

Blink Strikes doesn't provide a huge single target dps increase, but for cleave fights belt & ring will be without a doubt the perfect combo. In terms of pure ST, it does okay but it's best served with the Stomp + 2pc T19 set bonus.

The patch is full of bug fixes and tuning in preparation for Antorus, the Burning Throne raid. The new raid won't open immediately, but at a later time after Patch 7.3.2 goes live. The update is available for background download through the Blizzard Battle.net app, so the patch will probably arrive sooner than expected with Antorus opening later after BlizzCon.

Redditor eke00372 uploaded a video of Argus the Unmaker from PTR. Blizzard opened Antorus for testing and a guild was able to access the raid's final boss, even though testing should have ended with Aggramar. The fight is still very unfinished. The boss can be CCed and isn't even an elite.
After defeating Aggramar, you talk to Magni and get teleported to the Seat of the Pantheon.
The fight takes place in an area called Seat of the Pantheon.

      Rewards
Multiple rewards await after you defeat Legion's final boss.

Everything you need to know about Legendary items in Patch 7.3.2.
In Patch 7.3.2, Legendary items can be upgraded to item level 1,000. Blizzard also added Legendary tokens and a ring that empowers traits from the Netherlight Crucible.
      Upgrading Legendary Items
In Patch 7.3.2 Legendary items can be upgraded to item level 1,000. The Cursed Shard quest is started by looting Cursed Shard. The item has a variety of sources. It can drop in LFR or you can get it by doing the first Random Heroic Dungeon of the day. Once you bring it to Arcanomancer Vridiel in Dalaran, you will get 10 Wakening Essences. Collect 50 Wakening Essences to get Awoken Titan Essence and upgrade a Legendary item to 1,000.
      Sources
The Kirin Tor emissary bag did not reward any essences on PTR, but this can be random and needs further confirmation. Maybe they can only be collected from Argus faction bags. Antorus bosses drop a random amount of essences. Garothi Worldbreaker dropped 4 in LFR.

Two Legendary item will be added in Patch 7.3.2. The legendary ring will be available to players that defeat Argus the Unmaker on Normal difficulty or higher and the trinket is a drop from Argus the Unmakere. The ring's affix increases the effects of Light and Shadow powers from the Netherlight Crucible by 50%. You can find more information in our Netherlight Crucible guide.

Shadow Powers: Chaotic Darkness, Dark Sorrows , Master of Shadows, Murderous Intent, Shadowbind, Torment the Weak. Recently, Blizzard updated one of the Path of the Titans trinkets (Aman'Thul's Vision) to item level 1,000 and now it is a Legendary item that does not count toward the 2 Legendary cap. Path of the Titans trinkets can be upgraded with Pantheon's Blessing up to item level 1,000, so we're not sure yet, if all trinkets will be of Legendary quality after upgrading them to the maximum item level. More information can be found here.

Insignia of the Grand Army Increase the effects of Light and Shadow powers granted by the Netherlight Crucible by 50%. The Death of a Titan (Quest) - Defeat Argus the Unmaker on Normal difficulty or higher. Legendary Tokens
Patch 7.3.2 adds new Legendary tokens to help keep gameplay on your main rewarding. Legendary tokens will start dropping when you collect ALL Legendary items on your class, in other words, on your main. Collecting ALL Legendary items designated for a single specialization won't suffice. Legendary tokens are BoA, so they can be sent to your alts (even when they are on a different realm). Use them to discover a random Legendary item.

You can start collecting Wakening Essences right away. You don't need to loot Cursed Shard or accept any quests first. All Legendary items that drop after Antorus opens will have item level 1,000. All crafted Legendary items will be of item level 1,000 by default when Antorus opens. Awoken Titan Essence is used to upgrade a single Legendary item to item level 1,000. You need to collect more Wakening Essences in order to upgrade additional Legendary items. Legendary tokens won't drop unless you collect ALL legendary items on your class. Blizzard mentioned in the latest Q/A that the team is closely monitoring the drop rate of Legendary items. Two legendaries are a standard for raiding, so they may increase the drop rate of the first few Legendary items on a character. At the moment, Blizzard has no plans to increase the Legendary item cap to 3. If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments.

Antorus will open soon and it's time to look at all the trinkets that drop inside the new raid that will go live with Patch 7.3.2.
An overview of all trinkets from Antorus, sorted by class roles.
Last week, we previewed all Tier 21 set bonuses and in this overview, we're exploring all trinkets and their various effects. All the data should be up-to-date as of the latest Patch 7.3.2 Build 25326.
      Tank Trinkets
It's interesting to point out the synergy between Eye of F'harg and Eye of Shatug. Both trinkets have two effects and drop from the Hounds of Sargeras (second boss). Every 30 seconds, you can switch between those two trinkets. I imagine it to work exactly like Anathema / Benediction did back in Vanilla. Obviously, only 1 Eye of the Hounds trinket can be equipped at the same time and if your nearby tank-specialized ally bears the opposite eye, you gain either Versatility or Armor. It will be interesting to see how the switching plays out during progression.
Name Effect Source Aggramar's Conviction Aggramar's Fortitude - Taking damage has a chance to increase your Versatility by 4,354 for 14 sec. When empowered by the Pantheon, your maximum health is increased by 1,619,543 for 15 sec, and you are healed to full health. Argus the Unmaker Apocalypse Drive Hammer-Forged - Reduce the damage of the next 10 melee attacks against you by up to 981,700 each. Lasts up to 20 sec. Suffering melee attacks reduces the cooldown of this ability by 1 sec. (2 min cooldown) Garothi Demolisher Diima's Glacial Aegis Chilling Nova - Increase your Armor by 8,357 for 12 sec, and inflict 348,257 Frost damage to enemies within 12 yds and reduce their movement speed by 70% for 12 sec. (60 sec cooldown) Asara, Mother of Night Eye of F'harg Eye of the Hounds - Grants 528 Versatility to a nearby tank-specialized ally bearing the opposite Eye.
Swap Hounds - Transform to Eye of Shatug. (30 sec cooldown)
F'harg Eye of Shatug Eye of the Hounds - Grants ??? Armor to a nearby tank-specialized ally bearing the opposite Eye.
Swap Hounds - Transform to Eye of F'harg. (30 sec cooldown)
F'harg Riftworld Codex Unstable Portals - Taking damage has a chance to open a portal to another world, either healing you, providing an absorption shield, or empowering you with shadowflame magic. Approximately 3 procs per minute. Portal Keeper Hasabel Smoldering Titanguard Bulwark of Flame - Channel a Bulwark of Flame that absorbs 18,405,746 damage for 3 sec. When the Bulwark expires you unleash 4 Waves of Flame, dealing 966,089 Fire damage to all enemies in their path. You cannot move or use abilities during Bulwark of Flame. Aman'Thul's Vision's secondary "When empowered by the Pantheon..." effect increases your primary attribute, not just Intellect as indicated in the tooltip. The item ignores the maximum cap of Legendary items (2) that can equipped at once. In order for the secondary "When empowered by the Pantheon..." effects to proc, your raid members need to have four Path of the Titans trinkets equipped. The proc only works in Antorus the Burning Throne and Aman'Thul's Vision's buff serves as a wild card for the effect to activate. You can learn more about Pantheon trinkets here.
      Blizzard (Source)
While it won't function in Mythic+ we did change the six requirement so you only need four unique buffs to trigger the Pantheon secondary proc inside Antorus. You can have any possible combination of the unique five to activate this additional proc. Aman'Thul's Vision ignores the rule as a "wildcard" filling any gap that you might be missing from the other five. Trinkets listed in this section can be used and are winnable by multiple class roles.
