The "First Look" series continues with a preview of new zones added in Patch 2.6.0 - Shrouded Moors, Temple of the Firstborn and Realms of Fate.

Patch 2.6.0 is a standard content patch and you won't have to purchase the Rise of the Necromancer Pack to get access to the new zones. Last week, we explored Challenge Rifts.

Sanctuary is a big place, and in Patch 2.6.0 it’s about to get bigger! With new areas appearing in Acts II and IV of Adventure Mode, there are more places to explore, more bounties to complete, and more monsters to slay. Join us, nephalem, as we take a first look at these new locations.

The Shrouded Moors: Remnants of a Lost Civilization

Fetid swamps stretch beyond your vision, obscured by a dense fog that commands malevolent intent. Ancient structures long since abandoned are scattered across the sunken mire, and the absence of human activity might have something to do with an ongoing eerie sense of being watched. Still, despite the sense that something unnatural looms in the distance, the notion that treasure and glory may await tempts even the most cautious being.

Welcome to the Shrouded Moors.

Located in the northeastern reaches of Sanctuary, the Shrouded Moors border a verdant wilderness. This land shows clear signs of the influence of those untamed wilds, as beasts most foul and vicious have become its primary inhabitants. The remaining stone structures—their purpose lost to the passage of time—stand as the only clue to any humanoid settlers that may have once called this forsaken soil home.

Whether because of the scattered structures and creatures within, the Shrouded Moors are an unsettling place.

However, Tyrael and his Horadrim have received word that this land may be less deserted than previously thought. Lurking below, a great evil has begun to stir, drawing followers with most unsettling desires...

The Temple of the Firstborn: Desiccated or Desecrated?

An ancient monument to the earliest nephalem, the Temple of the Firstborn has long been hidden away deep beneath the surface of Sanctuary. However, a new and dangerous cult has arisen and taken residence within the buried structure. Disappearings on the outskirts of the moors are inciting fear, and the dusty tiles of the temple are streaked with disturbingly fresh blood. There is no doubt that a powerful evil now lurks below.

YSPJQKJOL5UL1498092223409.jpg

Early concept for the Temple of the Firstborn.

These cultists have been hard at work, twisting the flesh of mortals and bending creatures to their ill will. Abominations stalk the halls—horrors that should not be, filled with hate and driven by bloodthirst. Who, or what, bids the creation of such terrible creatures?

Darkness inhabits the ancient halls of the Temple of the Firstborn.

Perhaps a brave soul will plumb the depths of this cursed place and put an end to the source of these horrid aberrations…

Realms of Fate: A Heavenly Consequence

The High Heavens are still reeling from the events of the Prime Evil’s assault. While the angelic host works to repair the damage from the atrocities that violated their sacred home, the Archangel of Fate, Itherael, has discovered a curious development in the far corners of his sanctified libraries.

QGCJW8K3ZAUI1498092225500.gif

Seamless environmental transitions blend endless possibilities together.

The tomes and history stored within his libraries are changing the heavens themselves, transforming into small pockets reflecting the past, present, and potential futures. Though no one can make sense of why this has occurred, it still poses a threat to Sanctuary. Tyrael invites the nephalem to investigate, his faith in their skills, if not their hearts, still strong.

Bounties, Treasures, and Monsters Await!

All three of these new areas are coming in Patch 2.6.0, completely free to all players with the Reaper of Souls expansion pack or Ultimate Evil Edition of Diablo III. Will you solve the mysteries lurking below the Shrouded Moors? Or will you wander the Realms of Fate, forever searching for your future?

The choice is yours, hero, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of your endeavors!

Diablo's Season 15 starts on September 21 and in the second Themed Season, all Horadric Caches earned from bounties will be doubled.
      Cosmetics
Rewards include new Portrait frames and a pet named Belphegor.

      Boon of the Horadrim Theme
Season 15 is the second Themed Season in Diablo 3. While Season 14 doubled all Treasure Goblin spawns, Horadric Caches earned from bounties will be doubled in Season 15.
      Blizzard (Source)
Season 15 begins on September 21! For those among you who enjoy the fresh start a Season brings, we wanted to give you a glimpse of what to expect before you race out the gate as we continue to evolve and bring new things to Themed Seasons!

      New Season Theme
Season 15 will continue the experiment we began last season with a new seasonal buff. This time, for the duration of Season 15, all Horadric Caches earned from bounties will be doubled. This means that each time you complete a full set of five bounties in an Act, you will receive not one, but two Horadric Caches, for twice the bounty rewards!
There are a few things to keep in mind with this effect:
The bonus cache does benefit from difficulty level; it is essentially as though you completed twice the bounties. The rewards inside the Horadric Caches are otherwise unaffected; drop rates or the amount of individual rewards have not been altered. The bonus cache earned from Challenge Rifts is not affected; this is a separate type of cache. Need a refresher on the rewards contained inside a Horadric Cache? Check out our Game Guide for a list of bounty-exclusive Legendary items and more information on the Bounty system.
In addition to doubling up your Horadric spoils, other celebrations may spring up across the globe that celebrate the nature of this theme! Be sure to keep a close eye on Twitter and Facebook for more information as we move into Season 15!
      New Cosmetic Rewards
As per tradition, Season 15 will introduce new cosmetic rewards, obtainable by progressing through the Season Journey.
In addition to the Chest and Glove slots of the exclusive Conqueror Set, a brand-new series of portrait frames themed around the struggle of the Eternal Conflict will be available. For the eager cosmetic pet collectors, we thought you could use a hand. Belphegor is eager to keep a grip on your coin as it accompanies you on your adventures across Sanctuary!
      Season Journey Rewards
If you’ve been diligently slaying demons for the past few Seasons and reached Conqueror in the Season Journey each time, you’ve surely accrued a few extra stash tabs by now. But players who have not yet earned a total of four stash tabs via the Season Journey can still unlock an additional one by completing the following tasks at the Conqueror tier:
Finish a level 70 Nephalem Rift on Torment XIII difficulty within 5 minutes Level three Legendary Gems to level 55 Complete 2 Conquests this Season Kill Malthael at level 70 in 1 minute and 30 seconds on Torment XIII difficulty Slay Greed on Torment XIII difficulty Reach Greater Rift level 60 Solo Use Kanai’s Cube to augment an Ancient Legendary item with a level 50+ gem Use Kanai’s Cube to reforge a Legendary item Seasonal Conquests
Speaking of Conquests, we’re rotating those, too! Returning for Season 15 is Sprinter/Speed Racer, where you’re challenged to complete all of Diablo III’s campaign from Act I to Act V at level 70 in under 1 hour! Next, we have Avarice/Avaritia, where all that glitters is gold—that is, if you can complete a 50 million gold streak outside of The Vault or its Inner Sanctum. Boss Mode/Worlds Apart is a different kind of race; destroy all the bosses in Diablo III at max level on Torment X before your 20-minute timer ends! A fan-favorite for those who enjoy unconventional builds, The Thrill/Superhuman requires completion of a Greater Rift level 45 to be completed Solo, but without any Set items equipped. Finally, Masters of the Universe/Masters of Sets stretches your class set knowledge by requiring a Mastery Rank completion of 8 different Set Dungeons; get ready to start collecting!
      Haedrig’s Gift
Finally, the Class Sets available for completing certain chapters in the Season Journey courtesy of Haedrig’s Gift have rotated once more. We’ve listed the available Sets below. For those new to Seasons, here’s how it works:
Completing Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of the Season Journey will reward you with three of Haedrig’s Gifts. Each Gift contains a few pieces from one of your Class Sets. Players can only unlock one Class Set in this manner per Season across Hardcore and Non-Hardcore, so choose wisely!
The set you will receive depends on the Class of the character you’re playing when you open each Haedrig’s Gift. To collect a full Class Set, you’ll need to open all three on the same character.
Here are the sets granted by Haedrig’s Gift in Season 15:
Barbarian – Wrath of the Wastes Crusader – Roland’s Legacy Demon Hunter – Unhallowed Essence Monk – Raiment of a Thousand Storms Necromancer – Bones of Rathma Witch Doctor – Helltooth Harness Wizard – Tal Rasha’s Elements

Q: When do Seasons go live for players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4?
A: Seasons go live for all console players globally at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time, regardless of which regional version of the game you may have. Please note that Seasonal Leaderboards for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are still separate by hardware platform.
Q: When will Season 15 end?
A: We currently anticipate that Season 15 will be ending on Sunday, December 16 at 5:00 p.m. PDT in North America, 5:00 p.m. CEST in Europe, and 5:00 p.m. KST in Asia.
Q: Why is the Season end date an estimate?
A: Traditionally, we have given players two weeks’ notice prior to the ending of a Season. However, we’ve heard the community’s feedback, so going forward, we’ll be providing more comprehensive Season details in the Season First Look blogs. Please bear in mind that this date is an estimate and there is always a chance it may shift. While we will do our best to hit these target dates as closely as possible, we will continue to verify the Season end date at the two-week warning mark.
Q: When are the non-Seasonal Leaderboards being wiped?
A: Non-Seasonal Leaderboards are tied to what we call “Eras,” each of which lasts about 6–12 months. The most recent era began November 9. For more information on Eras, please see this post.
Q: What will happen to older Seasonal and Era records?
A: Starting with Season 10, we removed old personal bests from Season 1. When Season 15 arrives, we will remove old personal bests from Season 6, and so on. We will be doing the same for personal bests from the previous Era when the next one goes live.
Seasonal Leaderboard records are not being cleared and will remain archived both in game and on our website.
Season 15 is almost here! What are your goals for this Season? What do you think of our next Seasonal theme? How will you change your approach to your Season Journey now that you have access to more Kanai’s Cube crafting mats, recipes, and bounty-exclusive Legendaries?

Don't miss out on your chance to grab one!
The only thing more elusive than a Rainbow Goblin in game is a Rainbow Goblin in real life, but here's your chance to grab one!
To celebrate the Season of Greed, we are releasing a robust and thorough Goblin farming guide for your murderous, loot-craving pleasure! It will take you through a tried-and-tested goblin farming route, suggest some suitable builds and equipment adjustments for the purpose, and even shed some light on goblin farming metagame and etiquette.
But enough talk - it's your turn to take blade and spell to their mischievous hides! While using our route (or your own!), take a screenshot with your Season 14 character and a double goblin spawn - and post it in the comments below. Your post will act as an entry in a random raffle to win one of the 20 plush toys we will be giving away.

For the general rules of our giveaways, please refer to this post. The post-specific rules for this giveaway are as follows:
You need to be on a Seasonal character. Make sure we can see your character and the goblins in the screenshot. (Console players, do your best with the pause screen, if necessary - we understand it is slightly more difficult to do this than on PC.) The giveaway will end on July 2, 2018 at 23:59 CEST. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Winners will be chosen at random after the contest ends. Grab your guide, grab your nephalem and get finding! You might even be lucky enough to find a Rainbow Goblin in-game and outside - as Abd Al-Hazir put it - a ludicrous notion, truly!
We have contacted all winners and the prizes have been sent. If you received a message and did not reply in time, your win is now void and no longer valid. All winners were given an appropriate amount of time to respond and you can no longer claim the prizes if you did not reply, as they have been re-rolled to another entrant.
Thank you all for taking part!

Here we are again, nephalem. As we prepare to close out another Season in Diablo III, it's time to take a moment to remember what you have achieved and ensure that you're ready for the next.
If you haven't experienced the end of a Season, there's a lot to know about what happens to your gear, your progress, and your characters. Don't fret! We're here to give you a full overview of what to expect when the current Season ends and the next one begins.
      Table of Contents:
Season Rollover Conquests Leaderboards Season End and Start Dates The Season Rollover [Return to Top]
If you've played through a Season before, you know that all the gold, gear, and Paragon experience you earned don't just disappear. But what exactly happens to all that hard-earned progress when a Season ends? The short answer is that you get to keep just about all of it.
Here's a list of all the rewards from this Season you can expect your non-Seasonal heroes to enjoy:
      Heroes
Seasonal heroes will be converted to either non-Seasonal Normal or Hardcore mode heroes, as appropriate. There's no need to delete any characters to make room for them; your Seasonal heroes will continue to use the same slot they currently occupy in your roster after the rollover. You’ll also be able to use Season Rebirth to convert any non-seasonal character into a Seasonal level 1 character once the next Season begins. Gold
Any gold you earn during the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes. Paragon Experience
The total amount of Paragon experience earned is the amount that rolls over, but not the raw total Paragon levels that you gained. For example, if your Seasonal heroes reached Paragon 300, and your current non-Seasonal heroes are already Paragon 400, your new non-Seasonal Paragon level will still be less than Paragon 700, since Paragon levels require more experience to earn the higher you go. Blood Shards
Much like how it works with gold, any Blood Shards you have available at the end of the Season will transfer to your non-Seasonal heroes. If your non-Seasonal heroes are currently at the Blood Shard cap, any Blood Shards you earn once the Season ends will temporarily ignore the cap. You can spend these at your leisure; however, you can’t pick up any additional Blood Shards until you are below the current cap. Items
Items that are currently equipped on a hero or in that hero's inventory will stay on that hero as it moves to a non-Seasonal game mode. Items that are in your Seasonal stash will be sent through the in-game mail system to your non-Seasonal heroes. These items can be claimed by any non-Seasonal hero up to 30 days from the time you first log in after the Season ends. To access these items on PC, enter a game and hit the Mail icon located in the lower left corner of your screen to open your inbox. Console players can do the same by visiting the mailbox found in any town hub. If you’ve unlocked Primal Ancient items by completing Greater Rift 70 on a Seasonal hero, you’ll also be able to obtain them on non-Seasonal heroes after the Season ends (if you have not previously unlocked them for non-Seasonal heroes).  Artisan Progress and Recipes
If your Seasonal Artisans are a higher level than your non-Seasonal Artisans at the end of the Season, their level will transfer to your non-Seasonal Artisans. Any recipes you have on your Seasonal Artisans that are not available to your non-Seasonal Artisans will be transferred as well. Shared Stash
Any Shared Stash slots or tabs you purchase during a Season that are not currently available to your non-Seasonal heroes will be transferred accordingly. Achievements
Any achievements earned or achievement progress made during the Season are automatically applied to your non-Seasonal achievement profile. This happens in real time and does not require the Season to end first. Your achievement point total is also updated appropriately throughout the Season. Kanai's Cube
After the Season rollover, any Legendary Powers unlocked using Kanai’s Cube on a Seasonal Character will become available on non-Seasonal characters as appropriate. At the start of a new Season, Seasonal characters will not have access to any Kanai’s Cube Legendary Powers unlocked during previous Seasonal or non-Seasonal play. Season 14 Rewards
All players who reach level 70 on a hero in Season 13 will unlock exclusive transmogrification appearances for legs and boots. These appearances will unlock immediately upon hitting level 70 on a Seasonal hero, and will be available on Seasonal and non-Seasonal heroes alike (even before the Season concludes). To access your new appearances, simply visit Myriam the Mystic and open the Transmogrification tab. Players can also earn portrait frames and an exclusive cosmetic pennant for completing various chapters of the Season Journey. Note: All heroes, rewards, and progress will convert to the appropriate non-Seasonal game mode. Any items, gold, Paragon experience, achievements, Artisan levels or recipes, Stash space, and Blood Shards earned on Normal Seasonal heroes will transfer to your Normal non-Seasonal heroes when the Season is over. Similarly, anything you’ve earned on Hardcore Seasonal heroes will transfer to your Hardcore non-Season heroes instead.
Season 14 Conquests [Return to Top]
Unlike other rewards, Conquests do not roll over at the end of the Season (because they aren’t available to non-Seasonal heroes). This also means that your non-Seasonal Achievement point total will not be affected by any Conquests you earn during a Season.

Season 14 Leaderboards [Return to Top]
Once the Season ends, all Seasonal Leaderboards will be wiped and you’ll be unable to attain new Leaderboard ranks until the next Season begins. The results of the previous Season’s Leaderboards will remain available for viewing in-game for PC players. Once the new Season begins, PC players can view a handy dropdown menu to compare current and previous Season records. Similarly, console players will be able to view their rank for the previous Season.
PC players can also view current and past Leaderboards on our website.

In addition, the non-Seasonal Greater Rift Leaderboards on PC will be wiped sometime after the end of the Season. However, players on this platform can immediately compete in the currently active Era with their non-Seasonal heroes (including those who have just rolled over), and will not have to wait for the start of the next Season.
Season 14 End & Season 15 Start Dates [Return to Top]
You can sort through your Seasonal rewards and review your progress on the Leaderboards between Seasons. It’s a great time to reflect on the accomplishments you’ve made and enjoy the fruits of your pre- and post-Season loot hunts!
Season 14 will end on the following dates:
North America: Sunday, September 16 @ 5:00 p.m. PDT  Europe: Sunday, September 16 @ 5:00 p.m. CET Asia: Sunday, September 16 @ 5:00 p.m. KST Season 15 will begin shortly after on the dates below:
