Another full day has passed and only two bosses are left in the Tomb, with Method, Exorsus and Limit climbing to the top.

Here we are in day 3 of the race, which saw a very large number of Sisters of the Moon and Desolate Host kills, as well as a brand new World First! As expected Method continued their dominance, but Exorsus caught up a little faster this time, with Limit just recently getting to 7/9.

The very first major kill of the day was a World First, as Method got up early and downed Maiden of Vigilance around 11 AM CEST, presumably starting earlier, presumably because they found out they just needed a few more tries the day before. This brought them to 7/9 and to the Fallen Avatar who, if tuning went to plan, should prove a much more significant obstacle than all the bosses so far, as Blizzard usually tune the final two bosses with the very top guilds in mind.

We then had a big Asia server update, as EN and ToV regional champions A Stars took home two more Asia firsts, with Sisters of the Moon and Desolate Host, and the latter was also a World 7th kill. Not long after that, Maiden of Vigilance fell again, with Exorsus not letting go of Method's tail and catching up to the top a little faster than they did with Mistress Sassz'ine. Korean guild AFK R took home the Asia 2nd, World 8th on the Host, with Chinese guild KeaHoarl following soon thereafter.

Then it was time for some serious Desolation of the Host, as 14 guilds downed him after the Asian contingent was done. And, as usual, a very late addition to the rankings, Limit proved once again they're the No.1 US/OC guild as they pulled away from the pack even further and joined the top two on 7/9, earning the Maiden of Vigilance World 3rd, US/OC first. Not to be outdone by Limit's lateness, Easy didn't let the leading US guild get too far ahead as they downed Mistress Sassz'ine around an hour and a half after Limit's Maiden kill, putting them all alone in that 6/9 spot.

And so day 3 ended and there should be a bit of a lull in the next few days (hopefully), as Avatar holds back Method, Exorsus and Limit - allowing Kil'jaeden to live to the next reset. For now we have three guilds on 7/9, only one on 6/9, 23 on 5/9, 18(ish, not quite sure how many Chinese guilds actually downed the bosses from this point on) on 4/9, 279 on 3/9, 141 on 2/9 and 337 with only poor Goroth down. As usual, if you want to follow the race live and get all the updates as they come in, head on over to Method.gg's progress coverage.

it's nice to see so much healthy competition going out, inbetween nighthold and TOS there were quite a few guilds dropping out/dissolving. so its nice to see a lot of groups stepping up and putting on a good show for those who like to follow world first stuff :D

It's nice to see how Exorsus and Method are pushing guilds to their "Limit".

I like to see the competition, but in my opinion just because it's a race doesn't mean it has to be a sprint.   The raid literally just released this week on mythic and there are only 2 bosses left.  I think it would be cooler if it were more like a marathon like the old days.   Kael'thas wasn't even killed until people had Black Temple gear.  I'm not saying it should be that drastic but if blizz could aim somewhere in between there would be much more entertainment from the mythic race than there currently is.... That being said, I love ToS and think blizz did a great job for the 99%.   Make it harder for the 1% though on mythic :P

I am missing progress day 4! I know it's the weekend, but the guilds certainly do not stop!

Today we have some nerdscreams and the raid setup from Method's Argus kill, stealth hotfixes for the encounter, overall endboss stats for all of Legion as well as the Exorsus World 2nd Aggramar kill video.
The race to World First ended today as Method continued their recent dominance of Legion's raids and took down the probably final boss of the expansion, a mere 8 days after it was released (or 7 days after they started progress). We've already covered the WF itself, but there have been plenty of new stats coming after the kill, including the wipe count and raid setup. But first let's take a look/listen to the nerdscreams as the boss went down, somewhat less enthusiastic than usual I'd have to say:

Method also shared what stealth hotfixes happened while they were progressing on the final boss, not mentioned in any official notes:
We then have the raid composition for the kill itself, featuring 12 different classes including 3 rouges, 3 mages and 2 hunters:

And on to the wipe count, it took 320 failed attempts to get the world soul down as we already mentioned, and here's a comparison table for all the Legion endbosses, including the time they stayed alive for:
Raid / Boss WF Guild Wipe Count Time to kill (from region reset) Time to kill (from previous boss)  The Emerald Nightmare
      Xavius
      Exorsus 19 17h40min
+16h from US launch 2h43min  Trial of Valor
      Helya
       Method 223 2 days 7h
+16h from US launch 2 days 1h  The Nighthold
      Gul'dan
      Exorsus 247 11 days 6h
+16h from US launch 4 days 22h The Tomb of Sargeras
      Kil'jaeden
       Method 654 19 days 5h
+16h from US launch 11 days 19h  Antorus: the Burning Throne
      Argus the Unmaker
       Method 320 7 days 8h
+16h from US launch 6 days 14h And finally, we also got to see Exorsus World 2nd Aggramar kill video:
The race itself isn't quite over yet, as only Method have managed to end the Unmaker and finish up Antorus, and so the silver is still up in the air. Will Exorsus secure their expected second place finish or will the Asia guilds climb further up in this tier? Limit has also had the reset for two days now and seeing how crucial the gear from the 2nd clear is they still have quite the head start over Style War and Alpha. And let's not forget current 4th place holders Memento, who also might make it an all EU top 3. There are quite a few combinations that are open, so keep following Method.gg's live coverage to find out how it all shakes out, or check back in here when some more kills happen.

There's a new PTR build up, bringing with it Ulduar Timewalking and an even larger focus on the new 1-100 level scaling mechanics. Blizzard are asking for help in testing the questlines in some specific zones as well, so get on there and test!
      Build 25700 (source)
This week, we’ve implemented a new build that primarily brings bugfixes to the PTR. Our biggest focus for testing remains the new level 1-100 zone and dungeon scaling we’re introducing with 7.3.5. This is an extensive change to how loot, quests, and creatures work in the open world, so we continue to look for as much feedback as we can get about how things are working out.
Thank you so much for all of the feedback you’ve provided so far on leveling in Azeroth. We hope you keep the feedback coming, and we’d like to ask you to especially focus some of your testing on the questlines in these specific zones:
       Blade's Edge Mountains
       Duskwood
       Hellfire Peninsula
       Icecrown
       Kun-Lai Summit
       Nagrand
       Storm Peaks
       Terokkar Forest
       Vashj'ir
       Wetlands
Feedback on the difficulty, pacing, and most importantly, any bugs you might find while completing quests in the above zones would be most helpful. Please post your level scaling feedback here.
We now have Ulduar Timewalking available for testing, and it should be available for the next four days or so. Please post Ulduar Timewalking feedback here.
Also, a heads up—We’re planning a scheduled playtest of the new Seething Shore PvP Battleground. Get ready to Play With The Blues on the PTR on Tuesday, December 19 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. PST. The Seething Shore is a 10v10 race to gather Azerite on an island near Silithus, and we hope you’ll be able to join us there and test it thoroughly on Tuesday.
As always, thank you very much for participating in the PTR!
