Legion PvP Season 4 Ending Next Week

The fourth Season is coming to an end with the release of Patch 7.3.

Upcoming 7.3 Hotfixes

Some specs had their buffs removed or reduced in the latest PTR release candidate. They were present to help adjust for Netherlight FortificationNetherlight Fortification (+15 ilvls) from Netherlight Crucible, and because some specs gain more effectiveness from ilvl than others. The changes will be brought back via hotfixes after Netherlight Crucible unlocks.

There are a few specializations (including Beast Mastery) that had some buffs removed or reduced in the latest 7.3 release candidate. Those buffs were added to the PTR to help adjust for the additional 15 item levels your Artifact Weapon will gain from the Netherlight Crucible, as some specs currently get more of an overall effectiveness increase from item level than others.

Since the Netherlight Crucible won't be available immediately when 7.3 launches, these buffs have been removed temporarily from the latest release candidate build. They will be re-added via hotfix a couple weeks after release, once the Crucible can be unlocked.

In the future, we hope to find a better solution for the disparity in effectiveness that weapon ilevel has between specs, but that won't be in 7.3.

Frost Death Knight

Frost Death KnightFrost Death Knight spec aura on PTR is at 23%, but in patch notes, it's 14%, but that means it's a 14% increase over what's live now (8%).

Blizzard LogoBlizzard (Source)

Just to clarify the numbers--the DK "buff aura" on PTR is +23%, which is intended. The patch notes say "14%" because this is a 14% increase over what's on live (+8%).

Part of the apparent reduction in the patch notes is that 5% of the 7.3 buff was advanced into a live hotfix a few weeks ago. So the "increase" from live, in the 7.3 patch notes, looks 5% smaller.

Windows XP & Vista Support Ending Soon

Both operating system Windows XP & Vista will not be supported soon. World of Warcraft support is ending in October with more games to follow at a later time.

As we previously announced, we will be ending support for Windows XP and Windows Vista for several Blizzard games. For World of Warcraft, we’re ending support for these operating systems in October.

Microsoft ended mainstream support for these versions of Windows in 2009 and 2012, respectively, but since a segment of our audience was still using them at the time, we continued to support them. Now that there have been three major Windows releases since Vista’s release and a clear majority of our audience has upgraded to one of the newer versions of Windows, we are ready to make this change.

After this time, Windows XP and Vista will not be supported and World of Warcraft will not run on them. We encourage any players who are still using one of these older operating systems to upgrade to a newer version prior to this date to continue playing.

Avid max level Warrior collector, with only 1 shy of 50, DesMephisto, recently managed to collect all the currently available Warrior plate transmogs in the game and was the first to do so ever. We reached out and asked him if he wanted to talk a little more about his journey, and he promptly replied with a Fresh Price of Bel Air quote and got right into it! He details his journey, shares the hardest items to get and, most importantly, he's already on to his next collection: one-handers, as well as a few other projects!

Make sure to tune in to DesMephisto's stream as he keeps on pushing for a whole lot of challenges and goals and contributing to charity! Now let's see what record he breaks next.

Legion Legendary items classify as Legacy, and their bonuses are inactive so that they won't work in Shadowlands even at lower levels.
Blizzard is re-adding some of the Legion Legendary powers in Shadowlands, so it makes sense to completely disable the old Legion Legendaries with the same effects to prevent balancing issues.
Note that the effects won't work even at lower levels. We looked at Sephuz's Secret, for instance, and the Legendary item requires level 40, but the effect won't work even then.

The effects you get from Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings and Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker will still work, even Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve (Wrathion's Legendary Cloak) effects remain unchanged.

We further checked out Etheralus, the Eternal Reward (Legendary WoD ring), and the effect still works.

The same goes for Xing-Ho, Breath of Yu'lon and other cloak effects added in Mists of Pandaria.

To wrap this up, the change only affects Legion Legendary items, and you should still be able to use other Legendary items from previous expansions during Timewalking.

Scripe, the Raid Leader of Method and Guild Master of Echo, admitted he was involved in real money trading with the Gallywix boosting community.
Blizzard recently suspended some members of the Gallywix boosting community that were involved in exchanging gold for real money.
Today, Scripe confirmed that he decided to buy gold directly from Gallywix instead of buying WoW tokens, and the agreed exchange rate was apparently 50 USD/EUR for 1 million gold, based on the following spreadsheet posted on Reddit.
Placeholder for tweet 1290652868115128322 In case the above tweet gets deleted.

For the World First Ny'alotha Race progression when there was no Corruption Vendor, Method needed to buy BoE items with the best Corruption Effects for millions of gold across all servers and transfer them to Tarren Mill.
The total expenses for BoE items and WoW tokens came to a whopping 128,473,245 gold, and you can find a list of all items the guild purchased here.
Core members of Method raid team have reformed as Echo and the guild is lead by Scripe.

SauceISR discovered something strange going on in Quel'thalas on the Shadowlands Beta.
There is a Void Elf-like shield (skybox?) in one of the areas in Quel'thalas. It currently has no spawns/NPCs, and we do not know what purpose it should fulfill. Maybe it was intended for Void Elves at some point but was later scrapped during development. What do you think? Anyway, it's a cool find! You can check out MrGM's video of the skybox below.
