Where is Prince Farondis?

Recommended Posts

It seems that Prince Farondis vanished in thin air in Patch 7.3. Most of the Azsuna world quests are now voiced by Nightwatcher Idri and there are no signs of the Prince.

Previously, Farondis was located in the Crumbled Palace in Azsuna.

During the Lucid NightmareLucid Nightmare hunt, WoW Secrets Finding Discord community noticed that the chair in the Deepholm cave was identical to the one in Azsuna, where Farondis once was.

Apparently, he wasn't part of the hunt, but the fact that he is nowhere to be found is strange. What do you think happened to the Prince? Someone call Lieutenant Horatio Laine!

That kind of really sucks a lot cause he was one of my favourite characters in this expansion.

Well the "Language of the Lost" WQ is definitely still voiced by Farondis, at least. Either it's a bug that the WQ is still voiced by him, or it's a bug that he's gone :s

Probably the former. I haven't checked the World Quests themselves, but if Idri has fully voice acted lines for those WQs then it would be more likely that they're planning something with Farondis.

Speculation:

He went to search for *something related to Azshara* and he will be making a comeback in the next expansion that will revolve around said queen.

Prince Farondis is an anagram.

DROP IS IN FRANCE

It's also an anagram for censor drip fin.

N'zoth is supposed to be underneath the sea just like Azshara is. Things in the water had tentacles and fins. Things under the water get wet. Wet things drip. Censor can mean to suppress unacceptable things. So he is going to suppress drippy tentacle water creatures.

Thus the only thing the prince can be up to now is.....

who says sleep deprivation is a bad thing?

It can't be a coincidence that Sharknado 6 is coming up soon! We need to find that censored dripping fin!

That's a very good point, actually.

It seems really weird to just have Farondis come back whenever there's an invasion and then disappear again once the invasion is over, though. Azsuna invasion is up on EU right now and Farondis is definitely here as per usual but it's possible they forgot to change that.

The examples you posted are quests Idri always gave. Farondis is still giving out world quests, for example this is the one to kill banshees and collect scrolls:

He is gone from the palace, but he's still handing out WQs so it's probably a bug.

After all this speculation, someone is going to come out and just go: "someone deleted some code. whoops."

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale
