Insane Move Speed DH Speedruns Old Dungeons

Recommended Posts

Tt2QWBy.jpg

230-410% move speed, various glitches and skips equal to 18 minutes needed for clearing Vanilla to WoD dungeons!

The Flash just got some pretty solid competition. Shiekrunner went ahead and got some serious speed going to clear dungeons from Vanilla to WoD as quickly as possible, using both the Demon Hunter's weird mastery scaling at level 101 as well as any other trick, potion and shortcut he could find to get it done! The 230% base move speed number is the literal slowest he can go with this setup, with speeds getting up to 350-410% when everything is procced and going as planned. It takes 18 minutes for him to clear the dungeons, featuring some pretty damn fast single clears, like the 13 second Gundrak run. Oh, and while it may seem the whole video was sped up, there are only a few parts where it was and they're clearly visible.

Other means of either speeding up or glitching and getting done with the instances sooner are Vrykul Drinking HornVrykul Drinking Horn (for increased size to glitch out of tight spaces), disconnecting by logging in on a different WoW client (used in combination with the growth effect to get out of bounds) and The Sentinel's Eternal RefugeThe Sentinel's Eternal Refuge swapped out with level 70 engineering boots (which produce the whirlwind effect you see).

And, for the inevitable song question, Shiekrunner answered it already :

2.【紅魔郷 ボーカル】SOUND HOLIC - No Life Queen
3.【東方Vocal/Eurobeat】 Drive Your Fire 「A-ONE」
4.A-One - One-Way Highway (Touhou Eurobeat)
5.【東方ボーカルENG SUBS】Love the BEAT【A-ONE】

As a Rogue this doesn't impress me.

I have been clearing old Dungeons and Raids much faster than this since I just stealth all of the trash; Ulduar 25 takes me 20-30 minutes.  WoD dungeons take 15 minutes tops.

I think you don't get it. It took him total time of 18min to clear all vanilla + tbc+wotlk+cata+mop+wod dungs in 18min. Ofc without counting time to get to place.

Pretty sure he's going to have some explaining to do when blizz sees that.  If they don't just ban him outright.

That's kinda what I was thinking.  I mean don't get me wrong it's cool that he figured out how to exploit the terrain to accomplish this but an exploit is an exploit (and I'm not talking about double jumping to ignore pathways, only referring to him glitching through the map into un-textured areas).  Also he didn't kill all the bosses so it's technically not a clear, he just completed the dungeons.

There's no way he gets anything even close to a ban, or even a warning. He's not gaining anything in particular here as you noticed, this isn't some gold farm or so, I'm guessing he won't even do it a second time ever. It was just a cool thing he thoughthe could do and show people, Blizz aren't dumb enough to go after people like this that create interest int he game and show the breadth of things you can do in it if you choose to.

When they released the DH, they said that were aware that may be some exploits and unintended uses of the double jump, etc. in old zones, end encouraged ppl to find and uses them.

They may fix some of that ofc

I think it's a when, not an if.

Oh, well you *think* it is...  Turns out I *think* something else.

Was there some other server error attached to this event that gave you evidence to make such a claim or...

...or is it just a potential event in an unknown future that he should be punished for based on problems that blizzard created for themselves and he literally just found?

Your handle is so ironic.

Anyway, I was saying it's a WHEN people start copying this method to do gold farming runs etc.  Nothing to do with server stability.

As in I should be advocating for him to be restricted from doing something that HAS NOT by your own admission caused ANY issues, ironic?  B'Cuz... that would be irony.

ETA: His speech wasn't "give me numerous restrictions based on potential problems and scary things, or give me death."

The Gallywix boosting community is pretty well known in WoW, featuring many players from top guilds engaging in gold boosts, but now it seems they've been dabbling in real money boosts as well, and Blizzard isn't having it. As the actions are against the Terms of Service, Blizzard has started banning accounts related to the real money boosting activities. While the focus is on Gallywix, the investigation is still ongoing and might target other RMT boosting services as well.
      Gallywix Bans (source)
After performing a thorough investigation, we’ve identified that the Gallywix boosting organization has been taking part in gold selling for real money. Real money trading – also known as RMT – is a serious violation of our End-User License Agreement and is not tolerated, therefore we’ve begun taking action and have banned accounts in North America and Europe that were associated with this group and taking part in the real money trading transactions.
These actions have primarily targeted the Gallywix organization so far, but our investigations are ongoing and additional accounts involved with running this organization may be banned in the future.
Going forward, accounts may receive actions if they are found to be involved in future transactions with Gallywix or are actively advertising it.
      Thank you for your understanding.

Ivan Kuzkin is back with another mix , with a bit more focus on the PvE side of WoW esports, with Mythic+ getting a prominent chunk, followed by the Arena action similar to what's we've already seen, but featuring a brand new first-person outlaw Rogue PoV. This is all built with IKedit's trademark amazingly fluid animations and crazy armor effects any warrior would kill for (and kill with, as it happens).

Blizzard is constantly improving weather effects in WoW and here is how raining in Ardenweald, one of the new Shadowlands zones, looks like.

Yesterday, we previewed Great Vault, the new weekly chest of Shadowlands, but many players were confused about how the rewards from Mythic Dungeons will be calculated, so here's are some clarifications.
To unlock more loot choices in the Great Vault, you must complete the following objectives related to Mythic Dungeons:
Slot #1: Complete 1 Mythic Dungeon Slot #2: Complete 5 Mythic Dungeons Slot #3: Complete 15 Mythic Dungeons If you complete 15 Mythic Dungeons in a week, you will be able to choose from up to 3 items.
Your reward is based on the lowest level of your top 1 (Slot #1), 5 (Slot #2), and 15 (Slot #3) runs. Redditor zawyer90 posted an image and explained how the system works, so helping your friend with a Mythic +5 run will not affect your weekly item choices.

We have a bunch of retail and Classic hotfixes today, leaning heavily on the Classic side, with the Ectoplasmic Distiller fix and epic Draconic pages.
      July 31 (source)
      tems and Rewards
Corrupted Items Reverted the recent change made on the interaction between Fist of Justice and Ineffable Truth for Holy and Protection Paladins. WoW Classic
The Ectoplasmic Distiller quest item no longer generates threat. Developers’ note: Ordinarily we err on the side of authenticity when it comes to clever use of mechanics in Classic, even if we believe the original development team would have made a change given the same information we now have. The Ectoplasmic Distiller presents a rare exception mainly due to its severity: this new discovery of an unintended mechanic would completely trivialize most threat gameplay in raids for the remainder of Classic if left unchecked, including upcoming bosses in Ahn’Qiraj and Naxxramas. The pages for the quest “Draconic for Dummies” are now Epic quality. Developers’ note: We’re changing the item quality on "Draconic for Dummies" quest pages to Epic (purple) so that they'll be easier to distribute to the correct person in raids using Group Loot or Master Looter.
