There's cutting edge and then there's cutting edge... Cobalt on Mal'Ganis got Cutting Edge: Kil'jaedenCutting Edge: Kil'jaeden yesterday on their final raiding night before the reset and before it and Curve become unavailable due to Antorus release, but their particular finish was quite...extreme.

Blood Death knight Êndlêss was the only one left alive and Kil'jaeden wasn't quite dead yet as the entire guild looked on at what was probably their final chance at finishing up ToS this reset and claiming that achievement:

While Blood DKs weren't in a great place in early Legion, they seem to be doing ok now and can at times even perform heroic feats like this! Congratulations to Cobalt and Êndlêss on what must have been a nerve wracking final minute!

Here's the full kill video:

DKs being DKs.

Back when SoO was current, I could solo tank the last 10% on Thok on Heroic (Before Heroic became Mythic) on my protadin. This includes 99 stacks. Same with Galakras with 27 stacks on Heroic. Both the player and the class create feats like this.

Yes but classically blood dk's were the solo tank masterrace,  being able to solo old content way before any other spec could begin to imagine. Now it seems demon hunter has usurped that throne.

And I was happy when Mythic Dungeons opened and I had to solo the last boss on Auchindoun on my BrM Monk.

lol

Grats for this guy, cannot even imagine how nervous he (and the raid team) got!

Just ran a +10 with a 930ish Blood DK tanking, and they ended at 900k DPS total as well as outhealing a 943 Hpriest?? Blood is quite broken right now

Pretty sure you're outhealing the priest simply because there just isn't a whole lot to heal for a 943 priest, especially considering things like absorbs. I mean, I only got the one healer myself (paladin), but I do +10s/+13s with 2 fingers in my nose at ilvl 910 (Basically why I got so bored of it and why I prefer to DPS on my 940+ alts)

Its quite normal that tanks outheal their healer in mythic +. Even as protwarrior i do it. If groups knows how to move and play, there isn't much dmg to heal. I also recognize it with my hpriest :-).

  • Thanks 1

It's time for more battles as raid testing returns this weekend (and Thursday)! Both factions get to check the bosses out, as well as the opposing faction's bosses using the new flashback mechanic. We're getting both Heroic and Mythic tested this time around, with the first wing of LFR opening on Friday and staying open throughout the weekend.
      November 15 - 19 (source)
On Thursday, November 15th and Friday, November 16th we will be conducting raid tests of the Battle of Dazar'alor. After testing has ended up Friday, we will open the first wing of Raid Finder.
      BOTH FACTIONS:
Testing is open for both factions. However, for some bosses, raid members will temporarily re-live events as the opposite faction using a story flashback.
      Thursday, November 15th
Stormwall Blockade - Heroic Battle of Dazar'alor
      13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)
Jaina - Heroic Battle of Dazar'alor
      14:00 PST (17:00 EST, 23:00 CET)
      Friday, November 16th
Opulence - Mythic Battle of Dazar'alor
      13:00 PST (16:00 EST, 22:00 CET)
King Rastakhan - Mythic Battle of Dazar'alor
      14:00 PST (17:00 EST, 23:00 CET)
Siege of Dazar'alor/Defense of Dazar'alor Raid Finder
      16:00 PST (19:00 EST, 1:00 CET)
As always, this testing schedule is very fluid and subject to the realities of a test environment. We might have to change the time of a testing session, change the bosses being tested, or cancel a test entirely, due to bugs, server hardware issues, etc. Keep an eye on this forum for the latest information, and thank you in advance for testing and providing feedback.
Q: How do I get into the raid zone?
A: In Zuldazar, Boralus, Dalaran, Orgrimmar, or Stormwind, you may speak to Nexus-Lord Donjon Rade III in order to teleport into the raid zone while it is open for testing. (The option to teleport into a zone will not be available when the zone is not open for testing.)
Q: What character should I use to test the raid?
A: Whichever you prefer. We will be scaling players' effective level to 120 for raid testing, and their item level to an appropriate threshold for the encounter(s) being tested.
Q: How long does testing last?
A: The primary purpose of testing is to give us the information we need to balance the encounters, evaluate how mechanics are playing out in practice, and identify bugs. Once we're satisfied that we've received that information for a given boss, we'll be shutting down testing. Usually this takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, but there are no guarantees.

In the latest Method interview, we learned how the new Reaping affix will play out in Tides of Vengeance.
In Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard brought Seasons to Mythic+. Infested was the first Seasonal affix inspired by G'huun. The affix will be soon replaced with Reaping in Season 2 that will start early next year.
Affix Description Reaping Non-boss enemies are empowered by Bwonsamdi and periodically seek vengeance from beyond the grave. How Reaping Works
Reaping was inspired by Battle of Dazar'alor and Bwonsamdi. Every 20% on the Enemy forces bar, Bwonsamdi will resurrect spirits of all the trash creatures you had killed up to that point and they will charge at you no matter where you're at. This happens a total of 5 times per dungeon. You will be in full control of when this occurs, so planning/adjusting your pulls will be crucial. One of the ideas they had with this was to change how you approach the dungeon. Blood Moon will rise whenever Bwonsamdi calls on his powers and there's also something cool that might happen after you lose the timer. You can also check out the video below, where the devs talk about the affix and upcoming changes to Necrotic.

It's time to poke our friends over at exceL and get some hints and tips for Mythic+! It's up to you guys to dig up all the interesting info and ask the right questions, whether it's about the recent MDI Invitational, Mythic+ in general or even next season's new Reaping affix!
As you'll remember, they rose all the way to the top in this year's Mythic Dungeon Invitational and claimed the grand prize, as well as more recently participated in the MDI All Stars Invitational at BlizzCon earlier this month and the org itself has been a core part of the scene built around multiple games since 2014, fielding teams in League of Legends, Street Fighter V, and more.
Tthe Mythic+ team consists of Divinefield, Cirra, Ashine, Dorullkjell and Herudra, so submit your questions right here in the comments over the next 7 days and the awesome players of exceL's Angels will answer when we collect all of them.
Have any questions for the M+ team? Come and ask them!

It's a good day for solos it seems, as we now have a Mythic Helya kill, right after the amazing +11 Atal'Dazar! Durendil went into Trial of Valor on his own and faced the tentacles and light water splashes of Helheim and came out on top in what he describes as a fight that has everything he ever wanted from a solo encounter.
