Terms of Service Violations in Antorus

Recommended Posts

A reminder for those who plan to sell raid clears for real money or share their accounts between members of the same raid team.

Antorus Mythic race starts today and Blizzard will be closely monitoring and taking actions against accounts involved in selling clears for real money and other disrupting behavior.

As you’ve seen over the course of Legion, we’ve been consistently increasing our actions taken against Terms of Service violations used to give an unfair advantage in raid and dungeon content. These violations include selling raid clears for real money, sharing accounts between members of the same raid team, and similar behaviors prohibited under the ToS.

With Mythic Antorus about to open and the world first race ready to begin, we felt it was important to give a reminder of our stance on these issues, as well as a warning that we will be actively monitoring and taking action against those who participate in such behavior to gain an early progression advantage in Mythic Antorus.

We’re excited to see how our top players progress through Mythic Antorus in the weeks to come, and want to ensure that the experience is as fair as possible for everyone participating. Please keep this in mind as you begin to work your way through the Burning Throne, and best of luck!

Reminds players about how blizzard doesn't tolerate boosting for real money... scrolls up to the top of the page and their is an ad for heroic Antorus runs for real money. Seems legit

Ban them for a week and let them back in because they're essentially WoW celebrities... I'm sure that they all receive equal treatment as everyone else...

Same reason you aren't allowed to log into anyone else's.

Sharing accounts us against the tos of almost every online game.  You can get banned for letting your friend try the game in your account.  In general it is to give games a way to violate people who pay people to log onto other peoples accounts and run content for them.  Remember, your account isn't yours, it is blizzards, they are just letting you rent it.

This is one of the worst rules in gaming(I was going to say BS but lets say it politely). I mean why can't you let people try a geared character or a diffrent faction one on somebody else account ? The good part is that they can't verify those actions. And yes there is this rule in most online games.

Nobody will ban you for that... in this case they arent "trying a new class" they ar expliting the game services in order to adquire some advantage, and that SOULD be punished. And, in any case, you alway can do the news "try runs" before start a new class, so you dont need violate any ToS.

No its not imo - I shared my account info in Everquest and again in Dark Ages of Camelot and in both cases had the account stolen. In Everquest I had a top geared Wizard from the guild Malus Imperium aka Kupo Flux my nephew needed a ride from 850 miles away on a raid night so I let one of my friends use my account so we had our Manaburning power house and a few weeks later wasn't able to log in and found the account had been hacked and then sold. Took about a week to get it back from SoE - in Dark Ages my son-in-law played one of the "family" accounts and had a r10 heretic when my daughter broke up with him he changed the password and Mythics "most secure way of securing your account" secret word (nothing else would allow account retrieval not even being the person on the credit card) he still has the account to this day even though I went to Mythics Round Table and met with the execs of that bs company bringing to them the fact I indeed was the owner, still had my name on the account, my mailing address but "the secret word" is the only way to prove owner ship. Even a bank is that way" was the answer they gave me.

So no its not a stupid rule. Hell maybe they should just do the PTW model like all the other games then right?

Executive Producer Holly Longdale teased some upcoming experimental PvE-focused content that Blizzard will soon reveal to the community.
It appears that Plunderstorm isn't the only new mode Blizzard plans to add to WoW this year.
Holly Longdale today teased an upcoming PvE-oriented event that will soon be revealed to us. Holly might be talking about the "Timerunning Pandamonium," expected in Patch 10.2.7.
      (Source)
      Greetings Citizens of Azeroth,
It’s been great seeing so many players taking the plunge into Plunderstorm and we’ve loved seeing all of the stories and feedback as this experimental event evolves. It will be exciting to see some of the community content creators going head-to-head as duos during the Plunderstorm Creator Royale on March 30!  This isn’t the end of the things we want to try in World of Warcraft, however, and we have more in store we can’t wait to show you.
Dragonflight Season 4 is in route as testing begins on the PTR and we’ll have more news to share soon™ on the next experiment we have up our sleeves. We hope those of you who are looking for PvE focused content will enjoy what we’re planning, all while we continue to press forward on development of our next expansion for World of Warcraft— The War Within.
We can’t wait to share with you all the many things the team has been hard at work on.
With gratitude and excitement for what we’ll do together next,
      Holly Longdale

Dragonflight Season 4 adds a new world quest for Spark of Awakening.
To get your Spark of Awakening, you must complete a different quest every week.
The weekly quest is available from Therazal in central Valdrakken. There are 3 options, but only one is active every week, similar to how Awakened raids rotate.

      Dragon Isles Quest
Participate in a Community Feast Participate in a Hunt Lay siege to Dragonbane Keep Zaralek Cavern Quest
Protect the Researchers Under Fire Loot a Secured Shipment (Suffusion Camp) Complete a Time Rift Amirdrassil Quest
Earn 50 Bloom during the Superbloom Complete a Superbloom Plant 3 Dreamseeds Quest Rewards
Completing any of the 3 quests above grants the Season 4 spark fragment (Splintered Spark of Awakening) via Weekly Awakened Activity and a Cache of Awakened Storms.
You will need two Splintered Spark of Awakening and 250 Flightstones to create one Spark of Awakening.
