Antorus M Race Day 3: Exorsus 10/11, Coven Video

Recommended Posts

Exorsus and Limit catch up after an unfortunate hotfix, Limit's Coven of Shivarra WF video surfaces and Asia guilds join the top 5 in today's Antorus action.

Update: Limit also downed Aggramar, around an hour and a half after this post was made. They are now 10/11, World Third and on to Argus!

___________________________________________________________

Day 3 actually had quite a bit of action going on, as Exorsus finally defeated Aggramar and caught up to Method on 10/11 and headed to Argus, also sharing what exactly happened to make them lose pace with the current leader:

Today also saw Asia guilds catch up in a big way, with Alpha and Style War coming into 4th and 5th place overall with their Coven of Shivarra kills, which immediately prompted Limit to post their World first video, as per the tradition of video releases after at least 5 guilds down a boss.

That wasn't it for the Coven's woes for the day though, as ScrubBusters soon got them down as well, claiming the EU 3rd, World 6th, soon followed by Easy and Big Dumb Guild, coming in with the US/OC 2nd and 3rd. In the end we have Method and Exorsus alone on 10/11, with Argus living to see another day at least, a big pack of six following them and progressing on Aggramar, another pack of seven on 8/11 (Bleached Bones, Pieces, Memento, Nova, Wait or It, Alacrity and vodkaz, trying to get the Coven down fast now that the video is out and three guilds on 7/11, progressing on Varimathras (Libertad, Future, Midwinter). 22 guilds are on 6/11, a whopping 80 on 5/11, 78 on 4/11, 142 on 3/11, then a giant ramp up for the first 2 bosses - 411 guilds on 2/11 and 683 guilds with just Garothi Worldbreaker down. This isn't counting the Chinese guilds, aside from the top few, and all stats are courtesy of raider.io.

You can always follow the race live over at Method.gg, to see just how long Argus gets to remain the Unmaker.

I wonder what fixes were made to set Exorsus back. It is usually an ability that can be dealt with in an unintended way that suddenly doesn't work anymore; like an immunity absorbing it.

Too bad the devs weren't manly enough to communicate with their customers.

I can see it coming: a lot of stealth buffs to the bosses just to make this raid ''more difficult''.

Stealth buffs are fun...soooo fun!

What was the hotfix about? If they went from 13% to 80% it must have been something critical.

Why would they buff bosses after they had already been killed?

Perhaps even before they're killed, too. Something tells me they didn't just buff Aggramar, but Argus as well, just to make sure he doesnt seem like a joke compared to the rest of the raid. I guess it will be a few days before Argus is down.

Here is a recap of the latest Warlock class changes from the Shadowlands Beta.
The latest Beta update comes with 2 major Covenant Ability changes.

Decimating Bolt only increases the damage of the next Drain Soul for Affliction Warlocks when talented (down from 3). Destruction Warlocks with Fire and Brimstone have the bonus damage value reduced, and for Demonology Warlocks, the buff has been updated to affect Demonbolt, and the Shadow Bolt portion will be removed in a future build.

Here comes a really great tool for you stats lovers out there, as Raider.IO has just released a Battle for Azeroth Review feature on their site, allowing everyone to check out what they've been doing over the course of the expansion. There's tons of useful stats to take a look at for raids and Mythic+, and then share with your friends if you want. As Shadowlands looms large, it's a great way to end your BfA experience, by taking a look at everything you've done over the past 2+ years, and even who you did it with, across all seasons! You can check out an example here directly, as Raider.IO contributor Dratnos shared his stats, or create your own here.

Here are the stats you'll be able to check out once you create/log in to your Raider.IO account and link your Blizzard account:
Total boss kills for each raid and each difficulty, as well as overall totals. Time spent progressing on the highest difficulty for each raid you've fully cleared, as well as your fastest and slowest progression. Number of Mythic+ runs by season and by keystone bracket (2-9, 10-14, 15-20, 20+), total runs, and time spent in completed runs overall (you may want to close your eyes for that last one). Mythic+ spec distribution for your main and alts, as well as how many runs each of them did (not counting unfinished/cancelled ones). Mythic+ account scores by season, most runs with specific affix combinations and their in-time rates. Most played dungeons, in-time % and number of runs for each, closest calls and fastest completions. A really fun one at the end - M+ players you've most played with per season, run amounts with each and the total number of players you've played with.

It's a really cool trip down memory lane with some interesting stats, and you should definitely check it out and ask your friends to share theirs as well!
You can also check out this video by Dratnos going over all the functions of the tool (with some beta stats):

The latest round of Rogue class changes revolves around the overhaul of their Venthyr Covenant Ability.
      Rogue
Rogues now have a new Venthyr Covenant Ability called Flagellation in place of Slaughter.
Flagellation - Lash the target with Anima 3 times, each dealing [ 68% of Attack Power ] Shadow damage, condemning them for 60 sec. Each combo point you spend causes an additional lash. Once the target has been lashed 20 times, reactivating Flagellation will increase your Mastery by 15% for 60 sec. Slaughter - Slaughter the target, dealing [ 95.47% of Attack Power ] Physical damage. The target's anima mixes with your lethal poison, replacing it with a more powerful lethal poison for the next 5 minutes. Slaughter Poison deals Shadow damage over 12 sec. and steals 15% of healing done to the target. Awards 2 combo points.

A round-up of the latest Priest changes from the Shadowlands Beta. Some have not made it live yet.
      Priest
The following Priest changes were announced but have not been released on the Beta yet. We assume they will be implemented in an upcoming Shadfowlands Beta build.
      Shadow
Subsequent Devouring Plagues will cause its damage over time effect to add into the existing DoT, and the functionality is similar to Mage's Ignite mechanic. Legacy of the Void (Level 100 Talent) will be replaced with Hungering Void. The new talent should be ideal in situations where the Priests attacks a single target. Void Torrent (Level 90 Talent) will be changed to apply Devouring Plague when cast, instead of refreshing the existing Devouring Plague duration on the target. The following changes went live on the Shadowlands Beta in Build 35978.
      Discipline
Clarity of Mind (Legendary Power) Normal: During Rapture, Power Word: Shield costs 20% less Mana and applies 6-second longer Atonements. Spirit Shell: During Spirit Shell, Power Word: Radiance costs 20% less mana, and applies 4 second longer Atonements. Spirit Shell (Level 100 Talent) - For 10 sec, Penance, Power Word: Radiance, and Atonement create absorb shields for 100% of their value, instead of healing. Shadow
Death and Madness (Level 15 Talent) - If a target dies within 6 7 sec after being struck by your Shadow Word: Death, you gain 4 insanity 40 Insanity over 4 sec and the cooldown of your Shadow Word: Death is reset. Surrender to Madness (Level 100 Talent) - You instantly cast Void Eruption on the target, dealing Deals [ 190% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage to the target and activating activates Voidform.
