Again, assumptions. If you personally like to buy things twice for your house doesnt mean the rest of the world does as well.

You would buy only one roll of toilet paper at a time?

That sounds highly inefficient.

You don't get the concept of consumables, do you?

Edit: And back to topic: It is nice that some get excited about a new Blizzard game.

Personally, I can't think of anything I could care less about.

But it's buying a product you already own, which was what they were talking about.

Buying Overwatch 2 when you already have Overwatch and calling it stupid is also a very big assumption that the two games are actually the exact same game (which they aren't; I bought WoW already, should I just get the expansion for free? "it's the same game!"), and a very big assumption that the buyer is being deceived into buying something they wouldn't normally want nor need to buy.

edit :  let me give you a hint : the one is a consumable, the other is not.You cant even tell that difference

Given that the conversation is drifting  away from the actual post - either keep it on topic and keep the petty tit-for-tat out of it or I will just lock the post and prevent any further replies being made. It'd be a shame given that the whole purpose of news posts is for discussion.

Diablo 4?
Should be ready by 2035.

I'm pretty sure you've already done that many times in your life yourself.

Did you just assume he buys products? Of course not! He is one of those that guys that have the same TV, phone, net provider, PC since the day he was born! His Nokia 3310 will outlast him thankfully, so he won't have to give in to the greedy companies that make phones for the moneygrab!

You only own one knife, fork, and spoon? Shiiieeet. Toothpaste? You only buy once? That one tube is for the rest of your life? Gross teeth. Or to get even closer to the point. Do you still use an old CRT monitor/tv because it works, despite obvious advantages to new technologies? I'm not saying some titles aren't obvious moneygrabs, but come on.

Anyway, these are basically all assumptions. I somehow doubt there'll be an Overwatch 2 soonish, but who knows. D4 seems kind of likely, if nothing else to rectify the reception of D3. :D

Well, first of all I'm not a Blizzard fanboy, so it seems like you're the one putting the "ass" in assumption.  Secondly, you conveniently left the actual point out of the quote. Thirdly, Overwatch was only 40$ USD on PC, for the standard editon, as far as I recall, which is a lot of game for such a small amount. And lastly, I never said I'd actually buy an Overwatch 2 (which isn't even likely to happen in the timeframe speculated here).

I can only assume that he's only here to troll at this point? Or just very, very young.

And to the mods, I apologize that was my last off-topic post. :D

I hope you can see the contradiction in your own comment.

They will continue the Diablo story, even if it is repetitive and stale, because it is a name that attracts fans, which means more sales. As long as they are innovative, in a good way, I couldn't care less about the story. I don't play the game to kill Diablo, I play it to kill time. I just want something new. I am sure the vast majority of Diablo fans, who still pick the game up here and there, feel the same. Point being, I am very much looking forward to Diablo 4. If it means more people playing it, I am fine with Diablo 4 and a stale story over some new ARPG looter IP.

The Diablo lore became cheesy after some books were released. I don't really like the whole idea of "Chosen One" they went with in Diablo III. In Diablo I and II you were pretty much just a normal guy/gal hacking through monsters.

But much like you said, the core of Diablo is in its gameplay. But I sincerely hope that in Diablo IV they make sets less impactful and allows for diverse ways of gameplay and builds. Because currently you can diverse much, whereas in Diablo II you could.

I couldn't agree more. Sets are cool, but I prefer making my own builds with legos. Having sets creates a meta that is required for leader boards. I am not one to push higher than 95 anyway, so no biggie, but it would be nice to get back to having randomness in builds and avoiding sets.
