Blackheart got greedy! Only the richest team can hope to win over his favor with a hefty payment of 100 coins. Dodge cannonball barrages while trying to gather enough Doubloons to take down your enemies. Complete three matches of the Booty Coffers brawl to earn a Winter Loot Chest.

Don't forget to claim your free Winter Loot Chest!

Rules:

  • Shuffle pick - Choose from one of three Heroes before entering the battle.
  • Standard play - no talent or level restrictions.
  • Blackheart appears immediately after the gates open, and accepts Doubloon turn-ins as usual.
  • Skeleton Doubloon camps have been removed from the map.
  • Doubloon chests spawn more often, appear at new locations, and drop more Doubloons.
    • Forts and keeps drop 10 Doubloons when they die.
    • Mercenary camps drop an additional 3 Doubloons (for a total of 5).
    • The Boss camp drops a total of 15 Doubloons.
  • While chests are active, Blackheart fires one cannonball every 2 seconds in an area immediately around the chest.
  • Blackheart does not bombard enemy structures as normal (at 10/12/14 Doubloons, etc.). Instead, he waits for a team to turn in 100 Doubloons, whereupon he bombards the enemy core until it's dead.

Rewards:

  • Complete three matches of the Booty Coffers brawl to earn a Loot Chest!

Great, this brawl turned into P2W... GG Blizz....

Don't worry. Next Brawl will include actual microtransactions mid-match.

Oh man, again these silly brawls. I just had a brawl game where all 10 players were Probius. Guess what happened.

You must construct additional pylons!!!

I'd LOVE to play a Brawl with 10 Probius. Imagine all dem Pylons.

Also, I'd love a Brawl with 10 Abathurs or 10 The Lost Vikings (in this case, 30). Too bad Blizzard has stated this doesn't happen.

But not when the map in question is Blackheart's Bay of all maps. It becomes super boring. Basically, we were camping Blackheart with pylons and Photon Cannons all day long. Also, just so you know, in a brawl where all 10 players are Probiuses, anyone can detonate anyone's Warp Rift.

I would have tolerated any other hero that all players get to play with in BHB. Say we were 10 Illidans, 10 Stitches, 10 Jainas, whatever. I would've enjoyed those much more. But not when the only hero that all players get to be is a turret specialist of all possible heroes (yeah I suppose Gazlowe would have been equally disgusting).

That's because Blackheart Bay is the worst map in the game until they decide enough time has passed and our expectations and standards are low enough to put Hanamura back in. It's literally down to whoever gets momentum first and then you're locked into a 20 minute stomp you have no power to pull back, and somehow this brawl has managed to make it even worse.

I mean, sure they can't all be Hook Wars or Escape from Braxis, but this Brawl goes on for WAY too long and it's just not fun.

But to change topics, you want to know a HILARIOUS match-up, I suggest a 5v5 everyone is Illidan match. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON. IT'S JUST A COMPLETE AND GLORIOUS FUSTERCLUCK OF BLIND ACROBATIC MURDER-ELVES JUMPING ABOUT EVERYWHERE.

Imagine your ears bleeding through your headset when all use The HuntThe Hunt at the same time. Or even worse, one after the other, to cause that echo'ed effect.

I've seen one person aside from myself ever choose that heroic. I don't know why when it's so much fun, esp. at level 20 when it becomes global and gives you LoS to anyone with under 25% health.

"I know I'm going to take this merc camp solo." says Zuljin. [proceeds to lose nearly all his health in the process] "Time to heal u..." [is interrupted by cataclysmic violence and the hatred of ten thousand years]

Not to mention that Blizzard purposely made this sound absurdly high when you're targeted. My heart always skip a beat when some Illidan uses it on me.

On hard-engage / dive compositions The HuntThe Hunt is pretty common, to be honest. Most Illidans pick MetamorphosisMetamorphosis on Quick Match, solely; not that this one is not viable, but The Hunt offers an insane chase potential that few other Heroics can match.

Design-wise, Deathwing is probably the craziest Hero added to the game since the introduction of Cho'gall, and in this post, we're going through the main highlights of the reveal stream.
      Deathwing Reveal Highlights
Deathwing is going to be in his dragon form the whole game and has no human form. He's even bigger than Alexstrasza. All of his abilities have delays. Although he has a lot of Health, Deathwing is classified as a Bruiser. The Hero will be playable at BlizzCon and go live in December. His trait is called The Aspect of Death and comes with four perks. Deathwing deals 100% bonus damage to enemy Heroes (similar to Alarak). He is permanently Unstoppable. Deathwing is completely unaffected by Allied abilities. You can't do anything to interact with him (no healing, Abathur hatting, NOTHING). He's going to play his own game. He has adamantium plates and starts the game with 40 Armor. Every 25% Health he will lose a plate which takes away 10 Armor. It's the direct opposite of Garrosh who gets tankier as he's close to dying. Deathwing has a custom mount. He leaves the map completely and restores Health over time, which is his primary way of getting back health that he lost while he was on the ground. This is also the only way for him to regain armor plates, as picking up globes will not restore his armor plates. After you land, your abilities will have a short cooldown. He can land anywhere on the map that he has vision and when he lands pick one of two different forms: The Destroyer form / The Worldbreaker form which change his base kit. He can swap between his forms by activating his trait (Thanks @Valhalen The Destroyer form focuses on melee while the Worldbreaker form revolves around ranged attacks. Destroyer Form Abilities
[Q] Molten Flame is the highest damage-dealing ability in the game. Deathwing shoots a giant flame breath in front of him as you'd expect from a dragon.

[W] Incinierate is a close-range (circle AoE) ability. After a short delay, he releases a pulse of flame with a flap of his wings.

[E] Onslaught allows Deathwing to lunge forward a small distance. Any Heroes hit will be Slowed and at the end of the charge, he's going to bite the enemy for extra damage.

      Worldbreaker Form Abilities
This is the Deathwing from the Cataclysm cinematic.
[Q] Molten Flame is the same as in his other form and makes him shoot a giant flame breath.

[W] Lava Burst: Deathwing makes slaps his paw into the ground which creates a small circular lava pool in an area around him. It has a significant Slow attached which allows him to set up his [Q] Flame Breath.

[E] Earthshatter: Deathwing rears up and slams his paws into the ground and these little V-shaped skillshots go out that Stun all enemies hit as the ground rumbles.

      Heroic Ability
Deathwing just has one Heroic ability, but it's available from the start of the game.
[R] Cataclysm: Deathwing flies in the sky, flies over the whole area burning everyone underneath his wings, scorching the ground for several seconds. He lands at the end of the path. It's a flying Lava Wave. The Level 10 upgrade makes it deal more damage and Cataclysm's cooldown is reset when an Enemy Fort/Keep is destroyed.

      Talents
At Level 10, he can alternatively pick an ability called [1] Bellowing Roar which Fears everyone around him.
At Level 20, he gets another [R] Cataclysm upgrade which further reduces its cooldown. His other talent is called Rival of a God which allows him to Stun when he lands from the sky. It also gives him access to all Level 7 talents which affect his mount ability, like meteors while landing.

Check out Deathwing's kit and see him in action.

Deathwing has been officially confirmed and here's the reveal trailer of the Worldbreaker.
      Blizzard (Source)
You’ve felt the tremors of his approach; now prepare for the unmaking of your world as Deathwing descends upon the Nexus. Not content to lay waste to World of Warcraft and Hearthstone, The Worldbreaker has set his sights on the realms of the Nexus to spread his reign of death and destruction. The Hour of Twilight falls, mortals. Bow before The Destroyer, or burn beneath the shadow of his wings!
    • By Stan
Deathwing has been accidentally leaked as the next Hero to join the Nexus. The reveal starts at 10:30 AM PDT on Twitch. Hero Designer Kyle Dates and Live Game Designer Adam Jackson will sit down with Trikslyr and Jhow to show off the first gameplay of the Worldbreaker.

The introduction of Deathwing, especially now with BlizzCon around the corner, makes you wonder what they have in store for Heroes of the Storm at the event.
