Are Mal'Ganis & Belial Coming Soon?

An anonymous 4chan leak from December 12 correctly predicted Firebat's release date, and what's more important, it listed two other Heroes that should be released in the near future. The first one's Mal'Ganis from Warcraft and the second one is the Lord of Lies from Diablo.

Note: Blaze went live on January 9 and the leak was posted back in December.

Mal'Ganis is described as a Bruiser that is heavily reliant on constant heals during fights. We know from World of Warcraft that dreadlords have iconic abilities like Carrion SwarmCarrion SwarmSlumber FogSlumber Fog or Vampiric CleaveVampiric Cleave. With the introduction of Ana's Sleep DartSleep Dart, it's safe to assume that Mal'Ganis may have a similar ability that will put enemies to sleep as long as they are not attacked. The Hero should hit PTR on January 23.

Belial is supposed to be a Diablo Specialist with an ability to cloak allies and a mechanic similar to Abathur's SymbioteSymbiote, functioning as a global teleport.

According to the list of Heroes by release date, Malthael was the last Diablo Hero that went live on June 13, 2017, so a Diablo Hero would make perfect sense.

the WC3 Dreadlord abilities were Carrion Swarm, Sleep, Vampiric Aura (Vampiric Cleave, without the actual cleave) and Inferno.

He wasn't wrong so far. Even Yonman on youtube talked about this. And judging by his video, we'll get Velen, Winston and many more

Pls man! I'm tired of getting these much modern heroes and skins from ow n SC... I just need 1 from Diablo..long time they didn't release one from it..

of course they aren't n won't be! Mal wont be a finisher hero he'll be damage dealer or anything but not same role with Illidan. .. the only same thing between them can be do basic attacks to heal yourself:)

Belial sounds like he could be pretty fun if he works like it sounds like.

I'm guessing he's more of an ethereal form where he can link to allies to give benefits till he reaches either a timer, trait collection threshold or a lvl 10 ULT and can then possess a body to burst forth from them for a short time with a physical form to attack with before going back into a more ethereal/stealthy form again. 

Seeing as Abby's is an ULT based thing for making clones or monsters from things, I'd guess Belial's will rather be more of a Trait based one to make himself from things.

I actually do not care which universe the hero comes from as long as he/she is fun to play and well designed :-)

Given that he is the Lord of Lies, I can only assume he'll also have some way to make illusions or other forms of elusiveness in order to confuse his opponents. I wouldn't be surprised if he has an Heroic that allows him to "manipulate" enemy Heroes akin to Sylvanas' Mind ControlMind Control.

Me niether. Im actually not a fun of WoW or OW but i was excited about Alexstrasza even in september cuz i expected her to be a special kind of support. Im also having a lot of fun with Junkrat, Ana and Hanzo.

Yeah Xevex, totally agreed - the weirdest / less typical hero the better. In one of the interviews with Devs here they mentioned that they aim to have each upcoming hero unique in his/her own way, which I totally agree with.

I also love all those "crazy" mechanics, i.e. displacement (Artanis / Garrosh / Stiches); basically, anything that is not a simple attack-or-spam-spells-all-the-time characters. Not that Raynor is not needed (or fun), but I do enjoy the novelty and some depth / refreshment from such moves.

Indeed and it seems like they continue to release heros with much higher skillcaps which im also happy about because i just hate heroes like Butcher, Varian, Li Ming which are basically "No risk, high reward" for nothing. Imo if a heroes is capable of dealing out significantly more dmg then other heroes he/she should be hard to play and hard to master just like Chromie, Kelthuzad or Alarak for example.

Very, very hyped for Mal'Ganis, hope the leak is true.

I kinda hope they kept the Infernal drop, it was honestly one of my favorite abilites in Warcraft 3.

Mal'Ganis? Really? I can't believe they didn't chose Tichondrius to be the "DREADLORD HERO" since, you know, he is the most ICONIC of the bunch and the most involved in different events. I even forgot about Mal'Ganis existence tbh lol Sad thing they probably won't make ANOTHER dreadlord hero after this one since they'd be essentially the same.

Dreadlords look like the same, pretty much, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Mal'ganis having an alternate color that references Tichondrius.

I like Alarak, even though my winrates are abysmal. It's just that the hero has so much potential I can see, even though I can't play him. Hopefully not yet ;)

As soon as I saw the headline of this article I thought about the abilities from W3 and their possible conversion to HotS. Infernal certainly sounds like an appealing heroic -> 0.5s stun on impact, some dmg, then the infernal itself working like Jaina's elemental or Ultralisk (immolation at lvl 20?). Not sure about the rest, though. Carrion swarm seems suitable, but Vamp Aura would be difficult to balance, I believe, unless it's not an aura, but personal trait, quite similar to Illidan then. Sleep for some duration would not be bad too, as it works for Ana somehow, doesn't it?

Blegh, I just really want them to hurry up and announce Imperius or Diablo 2 druid. Hopefully they'll be one of the next heroes announced. Pretty stoked about Belial, I'm curious as to how they'll animate him considering his "true" form is stationary in the game.

Well, his "true" form is nothing more than an illusion. It'll be pretty neat if one of his Heroics makes him transform into his colossal form.

I was talking about the colossal form. He specifically says that's his true form (even though he could have been lying about that, too)

I'm pretty sure it's a lie, since the entire battlefield is reverted to normal after you defeat his colossal form. So maybe it is a way to say that the final battle (phase) with Belial takes place inside the Nephalem's mind.

Malganis was behind the plague against the alliance and was Arthas's drive to take up Frostmorne and let's face it.  Without Arthas there would be no Wrath of the LichKing.  I kinda want an interaction between Malganis and Uther.

Not only that, Mal'ganis can be met in WoW at the Culling of Stratholme 5-man dungeon, which in my opinion makes him more popular than Tichondrius as he got more "screentime".

      Death Coil [Q] Mana: 40. Cooldown: 9 seconds. Deals 164 damage to target enemy. Can be self-cast to heal for 262 Health. Howling Blast [W] Mana: 50. Cooldown: 10 seconds. Root enemies within the target area for 1.25 seconds and deals 68 damage. Frozen Tempest [E] Mana: 13 per second. Cooldown: 1 second. Activate to make Arthas immune to Spell Damage for 4 seconds and heal Arthas for 25% of the damage prevented. Level 20 Legion of Northrend Reduce Army of the Dead's charge cooldown by 5 seconds.       Garden of Terror Classic The original Garden of Terror has returned to Custom Games! The name has been changed to Garden of Terror Classic to differentiate from the current Garden of Terror. Haunted Mines Haunted mines has returned to Quick Match! Map objective is now complete when one team collects 55 Skulls, rather than when all 100 Skulls have been collected. Hero vision is reduced while in the mines. Warhead Junction Cast time for Nuke increased from 2.5 seconds to 3 seconds. Cast time for Nuke now breaks upon taking damage. DoT damage from Nuke increased by 100%. Damage to Forts and Keeps from Nuke increased from 100% to 125%. Return to Top

      Base
      Death Coil [Q] Mana: 40. Cooldown: 9 seconds. Deals 164 damage to target enemy. Can be self-cast to heal for 262 health. Howling Blast [W] Mana: 50. Cooldown: 10 seconds. Root enemies within the target area for 1.25 seconds and deals 68 damage. Frozen Tempest [E] Mana: 13 per second. Cooldown: 1 second. Deals 36 damage per second to nearby enemies and Slow their Movement Speed by 10% per second, stacking up to 40%. Heroes hit also have their Attack Speed Slowed by 10% per second, stacking up to 40%. Frozen Tempest's effects last for 1.5 seconds. Army of the Dead [R] Charge Cooldown: 18 seconds. Consume all charges to summon an equal number of Ghouls that last 15 seconds and attack for 20 damage. Ghouls can be sacrificed to heal Arthas for 240 Health. Stores up to 6 charges. Every time an enemy minion dies nearby, reduce the charge cooldown of this ability by 1 second. Takedowns reduce the charge cooldown of this ability by 6 seconds. Summon Sindragosa [R] Mana: 100. Cooldown: 100 seconds. Deals 230 damage and Slows enemies by 60% for 4 seconds. Also disables Minions, Mercenaries, Monsters, and Structures for 20 seconds. Frostmourne Hungers [D] Cooldown: 12 seconds. Activate to make Arthas' next Basic Attack strike immediately and deal 71 bonus damage. Dealing damage restores 40 Mana. QUEST: Killing a Minion or hitting a Hero with Frostmourne Hungers permanently increases its bonus damage and Arthas' Basic Attack damage by 1. Talents
      Level 1 Frost Presence Increase the area of Howling Blast by 20%. QUEST: Root enemy Heroes with Howling Blast. REWARD: After Rooting 15 Heroes, Howling Blast's range is increased by 20% and it hits enemies in its path. REWARD: After Rooting 30 Heroes, Death Coil Slows Heroes hit by 50% for 0.75 seconds. Borean Winds After Frozen Tempest has been active for 2 seconds, Arthas gains 10% Movement Speed. PASSIVE: Frozen Tempest's Slowing effects last an additional 0.5 seconds and its Mana cost is reduced by 4 per second. Rime Every 5 seconds, gain 75 Physical Armor against the next enemy Hero Basic Attack, reducing the damage taken by 75%. Stores up to 3 charges. PASSIVE: While Arthas is Slowed, Rooted, or Stunned he heals 24 Health a second. Level 4 Shattered Armor Enemy Heroes hit by Howling Blast have their Armor reduced by 15 for 4 seconds. Icy Talons Gain 3% Attack Speed for 2 seconds every time a Hero is damaged by Frozen Tempest, to a maximum of 60%. Frost Strike Frostmourne Hungers deals an additional 115 Ability damage in an area and slows Heroes hit by 20% for 2 seconds. Level 7 Immortal Coil Gain the healing effect of Death Coil even when used on enemies. If Death Coil is used on Arthas, it heals for an additional 75% bonus healing and its cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds. Rune Tap Every 3rd Basic Attack heals Arthas for 5% of his max Health. PASSIVE: Each stack of Frostmourne Hungers increases Arthas' Maximum Health by 10. Icebound Fortitude Cooldown: 35 seconds. Activate to gain 25 Armor and reduce the duration of Stuns, Slows, and Roots against Arthas by 75% for 3 seconds. Each Hero Rooted by Howling Blast reduces the cooldown of this ability by 2 seconds. Level 13 Deathlord If Death Coil is used on an enemy Hero, launch an additional Death Coil at a nearby enemy Hero. PASSIVE: Death Coil deals more damage the lower Arthas' current Health is, to a maximum of 50% bonus damage. Deathchill Howling Blast's damage is increased by 2 for each stack of Frostmourne Hungers. Howling Blast deals 100% additional damage and Roots for an additional 0.25 seconds against Heroes under 50% health. Biting Cold Each second an enemy is damaged by Frozen Tempest, it deals 15% bonus damage, up to 75% bonus damage. Level 16 Remorseless Winter Enemy Heroes that remain within Frozen Tempest for 2.5 seconds are Rooted for 1.25 seconds and heal Arthas for 3% of his maximum Health. This effect has an 8 second cooldown per target. Frostmourne Feeds Reduce the cooldown of Frostmourne Hungers by 6 seconds. Arthas heals for 75% of the Basic Attack damage dealt by Frostmourne Hungers. Anti-Magic Shell Cooldown 60 seconds. Activate to make Arthas immune to Spell Damage for 4 seconds and heal Arthas for 25% of the damage prevented. Level 20 Legion of Northrend Reduce Army of the Dead's charge cooldown by 5 seconds. Each charge consumed spawns an additional Ghoul to attack nearby enemies. These Ghouls cannot be sacrificed. Absolute Zero Sindragosa flies twice as far. Enemy Heroes are Rooted for 2.5 seconds, and then Slowed by 60% for 4 seconds. Death Pact Instantly double your stacks of Frostmourne Hungers, but it no longer gains stacks from hitting Heroes or killing Minions. PASSIVE: Takedowns grant 2 stacks of Frostmourne Hungers. Path of Frost Activate to instantly mount with 10% additional Movement Speed. Taking damage does not dismount Arthas from this mount. Lasts up to 5 seconds. When Arthas dismounts, Slow all nearby enemies by 30% for 2 seconds and deal 66 damage. Chen
