DPS Trouble

Recommended Posts

Hay,

I seem to struggle to get better DPS. I figured out that i used chaos strike and blade dance to less. and i should use less Throw glaive and fellrush.
But i stil seem to have trouble getting my dps on.  Please take a look on the logs at the 14th.
I really dislike using the "eye beam build" (it feel slow to me) so i still use the 2221311 build.

Raddons Cascading eyes should replace Delusions of Grandeur. You should not be using blade dance at all with the current Felreaper tier. Eye Beam build is far superior when used properly( I can pull 2M+ with my current build/gear on single target).

https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/wyrmrest-accord/chubbystub

I think that's your problem. I think you know it too, just practice the build/rotation.

You should open with: Nemesis, 1-2 Demons Bite to activate eye beam, fury of the illidari, chaos strike until depleted fury, metamorphosis, eye beam(our talents reset eye beam CD on metamorph active).

Thats your opening rotation, the extension to metamorphosis from the "Demonic" talent stacks, there for metamorphosis is 30S, +8 from each use of Eye Beam(procing Demonic talent). You should be able to get 3 eye beams off before losing your demonic form, giving you 54 seconds in Demon form. You need to be picking up the purple gloves dropping from Demonic Appetite, As each globe reduces the cooldown on Eye Beam and gives you fury.

After the initial rotation it's pretty much just using demons bite when fury is low, and chaos striking, and eye beam on cooldown, when nemesis comes back up try to time an Eye Beam with it, fury of illidari of cooldown, and when Metamorphosis is back up, try to time it w/ Nemesis.

Also, I cannot see your crucible talents/relics, but getting Critical Chaos on either is HUGE. The Shocklight trait is also hands down your best tier 2.

Just a few things on your actual logs:

  • You played with 4-piece, yet you interrupted your channel of Eye Beam early and ended up missing out on the Haste buff. Make sure you finish that channel or you're completely devaluing the 4-piece bonus.
  • You delayed your Chaos Blades too long, meaning you missed a use of it. Even if you only missed about 15% of the potential last buff's duration, it's definitely a DPS loss.
  • You technically miss a Nemesis cast, but it's no big deal. If the fight had gone on longer, it would have been a big loss. Not sure if you delaying it was intentional, but judging by the delay on the CB also, I'm assuming not.
  • You could have got in another Fury of the Illidari cast.
  • As you said already, weave in Throw Glaive + Fel Rush to keep things rolling during downtime.

That's pretty much it.

Am i the only person that has an issue with 37% crit? I run t-21 and i have about 49% before buffs... i know it might be different for a chaos blades type build.

Also im not sure if ur t21 is great to do with the chaos blades build, due to the 2 set being useless..... I know u might not be in the position to, but t20 would help alot/ Also if u r using the chaos blades build running with eye beam is also losing alot of dps especially with your lower mastery it really isnt providing alot of dmg!!!

However im not an expert by the least just my first thoughts!

Their gear isn't ideal, but gear is always RNG-dependent, so I always find it kind of pointless to give the advice of getting a certain type of gear. It's likely that they're already trying to :p

Just wanted to add, the Eye Beam build might feel slow because you don't have the right build/gear for it. Low crit or just plain bad luck can force you to use Demon's Bite a lot so that might be why, but definitely try it :p I also felt hesitant at first, but it actually feels pretty good when you get rolling. The playstyle is dynamic since you're actively reducing your Eye Beam cd to get your next burst and unlike demon blades version, you never actually stop attacking, or even moving because there are souls to pick up.

Intergalactic is an AOTC/Mythic progression guild now recruiting for Shadowlands raiding and M+.  We are a group of friends who were interested in the fun of raiding while understanding that life responsibilities take precedent. We are a combination of new and returning players from various expansions. While social players are always welcomed, we are more specifically looking for players who are interested in a fun, relaxed environment to progress through content. We do run M+ keys, transmog/gear and achievement runs when possible.
Intergalactic did not run as a guild during Bfa. We had members getting bored with Bfa content and decided to spend their time on other things. We did do some content with some of the guilds in our community group. Our last guild raids were in Legion. The majority of our core has come back in anticipation for Shadowlands. We are excited to be back as an active guild on Korgath and it's connected realms. We look forward to having you join us!  (Korgath is connected with  Cairne, Cenarius, Frostmane, Ner’zhul, Perenolde, and Tortheldrin.
What we expect from all of our Members:
In short, “Be excellent to each other.” We’re not looking for members filled with drama and toxicity. We’re all friends here and while we may not all agree on a particular subject, it can be discussed in a friendly, constructive, and respectful manner. A good sense of humor is a must. We aren’t looking for Members who only log in on raid days. Other events will be on the calendar, as well, and we hope that you’ll sign up and attend.
What we expect from our Raiders:
Raiders are to sign up on the calendar for events. If you are going to be late or if you will be unable to attend at the last-minute, please notify the GM, Raid Lead or an Officer as soon as possible.
Raiders are expected to log in approximately 15 minutes prior to raid start and be outside the raid with consumables and enhancements. We will provide feasts, cauldrons, and repairs. We can provide extra food, enchants, gems when available, all we ask for is either a monetary donation or help with crafting materials.
Raiders are expected to be prepared with knowledge of raid mechanics, as well as class-specific knowledge. Know your strengths and weaknesses and be willing to openly receive and give helpful constructive criticism when needed.
Raiders are expected to be progression-oriented, with the understanding that some mechanics/fights may take multiple attempts. We can’t progress through raids without everyone working as a team to try and work through the mechanics.
Raiders who are capable of playing multiple classes/specs may be asked to switch to a more appropriate character to work through particular mechanics. We maintain a smaller roster and sometimes rotate people in based on fight specifications.
Raid Days/Times: Wednesday/Friday at 8pm Server/9pm EST, possible carryover on Saturdays
Roles Needed: Ranged DPS and/or multi-spec players
      We require:
      Discord
      Deadly Boss Mods
      Details! Damage Meter (preferred)
If you think that we would be a good fit, please send a DM to Northeos, Nanami or Thawn. Or simply add us on Battle Tag.

Hey everybody! So the other day, I decided to make a 5-minute guide on how to play the Warrior class in WoW. It's not super in-depth, but I just wanted some good feedback from the Warrior community on this. Lemme know what you guys think! I also hope that this is able to help somebody out there.   ?

So i heard about primal ancients, and i m kinda desperate to get it. Why? It can make my Demon Hunter even powerful then he is now (I deal about 35m damage) So how do you get them? I know how though. Get in a GR 70 and do it Solo, but how do you do it actually? How much do you need to farm this for? A week? A month? A YEAR? The point is, i want primal ancients, and have NO IDEA how to farm them :// so... i need a bit of help for farming :))

      Hey Everyone,
So i play a Demon Hunter Lvl 120 with iLVL 464.
My DPS in dungeons is just so low compared to everyone else and i dont know why. I was in a M8+ earlier and the ilvl 450 Tank was doing more DPS than I was.
Any tips? Check out my gear/character, i think its all setup right. I went through the Icy Veins Demon Hunter guide and stat priority etc... Got a rotation, but something isnt right. Im always last on DPS even with 440 ilvl players in the group.

      Thanks for reading!
