A preview of new hyena mounts in Battle for Azeroth.

Our preview of mounts in Battle for Azeroth continues with hyenas. The new expansion adds really interesting mounts to the game. So far, we looked at frogs, vulturesproto-drakes and basilisks. Four tints of the hyena mounts are currently available in the Alpha, with no source indicated yet.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the movement animation, similar to all of those Acid-DemonDog mounts from argus.. Overall the model is pretty nice though!

I like them, and I hope hyenas as hunter pets get similar updates, but the clipping and animations.. eeeh, I want to like it, but just quite can't see myself using them.

I feel like they need to stop giving creatures these tiny midsections. It just doesn't work, look how the feet all just go through eachother when they run.

When are they gonna make some animations so your toon isn't glued to the saddle and rocking back and forth. At the very least, they could try to make the saddles stationary during running and flying animations so we don't look like we are on one of those playground metal spring rocking toys.

it's almost as if the expansion were still in alpha.

(and yes, I know that we had plenty of mounts that arrived on live servers broken...)

I like how you invalidate your own statement with your second!

The midsection and hindquarter is so tiny it just kind of looks like a head on two legs. The hind legs go way too far under it's belly, if they fix that it'd actually look kind of like a Hyena and it would probably solve SOME the VERY bad clipping.

Goblins and Worgen will have their models updated in World of Warcraft's upcoming Patch 8.2.5. Blizzard also confirmed they're next in line for Heritage Armor!
Their models haven't been updated since Cataclysm, which makes them the oldest models in the game right now. At last year's BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed a preview of new Goblin and Worgen models, which are slated for Patch 8.2.5.
Note that this is a work in progress and the models we're going to see in 8.2.5 may be completely different.
      Goblins
The new model makes Goblins look more neutral and not angry all the time. Blizzard has done a lot of work, improving their limbs, eyes, mouth, and the grin while casting looks really cool.

      Worgen
Here we have new Worgen models. The male model looks fiercer and the female model no longer resembles a fox, but I still don't get it why the female model's using Human eyes. It looks way too cartoonish and doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

      Heritage Armor
In Rise of Azshara, Gnomes and Tauren got their Heritage Armor and the good news is that both Goblins and Worgen are next in line for Heritage Armor with their model updates. If you main a Goblin or a Worgen, Patch 8.2.5 will be really good! Do you like the updated models?

Void-Touched Emissaries (Beguiling affix) have been nerfed recently and Queen's Decree: Hide now debuffs players.
The hardest-hitting handmaiden has been hotfixed and now debuffs players with Queen's Decree: Hide, instead of herself, which makes Beguiling much more forgiving and opens up new strategies. Players can now simply LoS her and wait for the debuff to expire. The change is included in today's hotfixes.
Beguiling, the new Nazjatar-themed Season 3 affix, is active instead of Reaping since July 9th.

The hotfixes aren't stopping or getting much smaller, as we just got our 4th in 4 days. Today we have more Eternal Palace tweaks, the Beguiling affix nerf, Blingtrons get upgraded and more.

      Dungeons and Raids
Azshara’s Eternal Palace Blackwater Behemoth The Oxygen-Rich Membrane buff acquired before fighting Blackwater Behemoth now persists through death as intended. Some marine life necessary for the Blackwater Behemoth achievement Intro to Marine Biology were stubborn and did not want to be collected. They are now interactable! Queen Azshara Fixed a bug that sometimes caused players to get damaged by Arcane Burst through line of sight in Heroic difficulty. Fixed a bug that prevented players who jumped when Stay! was cast on them from abiding to the decree in Heroic difficulty. Operation: Mechagon K.U.-J.O. Venting Flames, Furnace Flames, and Noxious Stench now ignore line of sight caused by objects other than dropped Junk Cubes. Mythic Keystone Dungeons Affix: Beguiling Void Touched Emissary no longer gains a stacking Shadow damage dealt buff. Players hit by Queen's Decree: Hide now take a 12 second duration stacking Shadow damage taken debuff. The UI for Essences earned in Mythic Keystone Dungeons now state that the dungeon needs to be completed in time. Heroic Warfronts
Fixed a bug where players would receive 340 item level gear; the Azerite reward still remains for end-of-match. Items
Blingtron 7000 models have been upgraded to more reliably defeat their model 6000 counterparts. Oxidized Refuse Remover now deals 200% increased damage. Weapons imbued with Enchant Weapon - Naga Hide no longer proc off absorbed damage. Budding Deepcoral no longer prevents underwater swimming mounts from swimming quickly while in Nazjatar. Heart of Azeroth The Well of Existence (Essence) now floats near you while airborne on a flying mount and no longer interferes with having a Battle Pet active. The cost of the Rank 3 Essences available from the Rustbolt Quartermaster has been reduced to 15 Galvanic Oscillators (was 25 Galvanic Oscillators) for the first Essence. Subsequent Rank 3 Essences now cost 6 Galvanic Oscillators (was 15 Galvanic Oscillators). Player versus Player
Arena Resolved an issue with The Robodrome's Zap spell which could target players who were not staying in the starting area after the Arena match began. Items Vision of Demise now shares a cooldown with other on-use trinkets. Quests
"The Eternal Palace: We Can Make It Stronger... " no longer removes extra Eternal Ornaments. Abandoning and reaccepting “Pack Your Bags ” prevents players from collecting items necessary for the quest. Previous hotfixes.

Blizzard have sent out three days of free game time, giving unsubbed players the chance to test out Rise of Azshara, the latest World of Warcraft content update.
Players with inactive accounts were gifted three days of game time on July 9th and the gift can be claimed until July 28th from within the Battle.net app.
We noticed this on an account which has been inactive since March 25th. We believe the account must stay inactive for an extended period of time to be eligible for the three days of game time.

If you've been unsubscribed for a long time and would like to give Nazjtar and Mechagon a shot, check out your"Gifts tab. There do not seem to be any mails associated with the game time this time around. The account received game time, but no "come back" mail thus far.

Blizzard earlier today clarified how Aqueous Reliquaries drop in The Eternal Palace raid and that there was a data error calculating their drop chance this week, so starting with next week's raid reset, the amounts will be fixed.
Aqueous Reliquary is an item which drops in the new raid and is required for the new Essences. It seems you don't need complete both Normal and Heroic to maximize your drops. Let's assume you kill Queen Azshara and get X Aqueous Reliquaries on Normal, then, you kill her on Heroic in the same lockout and you'll receive Y Aqueous Reliquaries. If you, however skip Normal and go straight to Heroic, you'll get the total number of drops, meaning X+Y Aqueous Reliquaries. The same is probably going to apply to Mythic.
      Blizzard (Source)
Can someone please confirm if the aqueous reliquary items drop from normal and heroic if you run both within the same week? Thanks!
Yes, but you don’t have to do both to maximize your drops.
If you kill Azshara on Normal, you should get some of the drops (x).
If you then kill Azshara on Heroic in the same lockout, you should get some more of the drops (y).
If you skip Normal and go straight to Heroic, you should get the total number of drops (x+y).
Killing Azshara on Heroic, then killing Azshara on Normal will result in no drops of those items on the second kill.
Having said that, we had a data error calculating Aqueous Reliquaries this week, and when we fix it, more will drop. To avoid impacting players who have already killed the bosses, we’re fixing it at the beginning of next week. Starting with next week’s raid reset, the amounts will be corrected.
