A schedule of PvP Brawls available to players through May 2018.

Blizzard posted a list of PvP Brawls available for gameplay from March until May 2018. There's a new PvP Brawl every other week and Archmage Timear will have a quest for you anytime it's up! The objective is to win a single brawl for the weekly quest Something Different to receive a Brawler's FootlockerBrawler's Footlocker, 3 Mark of HonorMarks of Honor and Soldier's LegacySoldier's Legacy (10 billion Artifact Power @ AK level 55). More details can be found in our This Week in WoW series.

Blizzard LogoBlizzard (Source)

Every other week, a new PvP Brawl will be available to players looking for something just a little different. Each Brawl will offer a variety of modes, rules, and scenic changes to the usual Battleground gameplay, and you’ll find them in the Group Finder tool (hotkey “I”) in the Player vs. Player tab. Just like Random Battlegrounds, you’ll receive a reward for achieving victory. Here are just a few of the Brawls you can look forward to:

Shadow-Pan Showdown
[JANUARY 10—17]

Step into Tiger’s Peak Arena and get ready for the Shadow-Pan Showdown. You’ll race for control of a center control point to activate one of two bosses. The first to kill the other team’s boss wins!

Deepwind Dunk
[JANUARY 24—31]

Can you even dunk? If you want to win this brawl, you’re going to need to work on your skills because Dunkball has come to Pandaria. You’ll race to claim balls from the map’s center, or northern, or southern mines, take them to your enemy’s base, and then go for a magnificent long range shot or go all in for the dunk.

Tarren Mill vs. Southshore

Originally introduced as a part of the World of Warcraft 10-Year Anniversary event, this Brawl harkens back to the early days of WoW PvP, with an epic battle between the two towns of Tarren Mill and Southshore. In this game of war, you’ll need to work as a team and deplete your foes’ resources to claim victory.

Packed House

We’ve put more PvP in your PvP! In Packed House, there’s nowhere to hide as you face not 2, not 3, not 5, but 15 adversaries in this 15 vs. 15 Arena battle.

Temple of Hotmogu
[MARCH 7—14]

Enter the Temple of Kotmogu for this fast-paced match. For a whole new twist, players will be able throw the Orb of Power to friendly players in a game of hot potato. Beware, they’ll also gain the debuffs along with the orb so choose wisely. We’re turning things up (to 11) by changing resurrection time to a quick 5 seconds. Who will be able to hold on to the power to claim victory?

Deep Six
[MARCH 21—28]

Deep Six pits teams of six players against each other in three iconic Battlegrounds: Warsong Gulch, Silvershard Mines, and Temple of Kotmogu. Each Battleground offers a little variation on the traditional format, such as flags that are a bit closer in Warsong Gulch, less carts to keep track of in Silvershard Mines, and only two orbs within the Temple of Kotmogu.

Frozen Arathi Basin
[APRIL 4—11]

Put away your bathing suit, pull out your parka, and enter a winter wonderland as the Arathi Basin you know and love gets a fresh coat of ice and snow. You'll be racing your way between the farm, stables, mine, lumberyard, and blacksmith through piles of snow and over a - mostly - frozen lake. One more thing: the weather forecast calls for a bit of fog of war. We hope you're prepared for the weather.

Gravity Lapse
[APRIL 18—25]

Gravity getting you down? Step into the Eye of the Storm and be prepared for a whole new en-lighten-ing experience. Every minute, players on the battlefield will find themselves launched into the air, only to gently fall toward the ground again in a perpetual aerial ballet as they try to accrue enough resources to take the win home for their team.

Warsong Scramble
[MAY 2—9]

Do you have a flag? Warsong Gulch has always been the scene of an epic capture-the-flag battle, but what happens when you can capture your enemy’s flag without your own at base?Or if there are multiple flags at each base? Find out when you step into this PvP Brawl! We’ve also added a few more power-ups to the field of battle to stir things up a bit. To win, your team will need to be the first to capture 10 flags.

As with Micro-Holidays, these PvP Brawls are just the beginning and we look forward to seeing which ones become your favorites.

They need to add Oldterac Valley.  And to get your footlocker, capture a graveyard.  That way 99% of people aren't fuming when they play for 100 hours straight without a victory.

Blizzard confirmed the removal of First Aid in Battle for Azeroth.
We noticed that many First Aid achievements have been moved over to Legacy in Battle for Azeroth Alpha Build 26032 and started speculating about the possible removal of the secondary profession in the upcoming expansion. Blizzard now confirmed on Twitter that First Aid recipes will be added to Alchemy and Tailoring and need to be re-learned. Are you still using First Aid?

Island Expeditions are now enabled for testing on Battle for Azeroth Alpha and we looked at the feature in more detail.
      General Information
Island Expeditions are a combination of Scenarios and Invasion Points in Battle for Azeroth. The 3-player dynamic Scenarios will reward Azerite and mounts. The objective is to collect 6,000 Azerite from various sources before the opposing faction. An Island Expeditions can be finished in 15-20 minutes.
      Azerite Sources
Azerite can be collected from Azerite nodes, by killing NPCs, rare mobs, solving puzzles and by killing faction champions (or other players in PvP mode). Faction champions and mobs will be worth more Azerite as the time goes by.
      Azerite Detector
A 10-minute countdown will activate when you enter an Island Expedition. After the time's up, nearby Azerite nodes will appear on the map.
      Dynamic Replayability
As opposed to Mists of Pandaria Scenarios that were somewhat boring, this won't be an issue with Island Expeditions. Content is variable, meaning there are always different factions champions, sources of Azerite and puzzles to solve.
There will be four difficulties ranging from Normal to Mythic and a PvP difficulty.
      PvE Mode (Normal/Heroic/Mythic Difficulty)
In PvE mode, the goal is to collect 6,000 Azerite before the enemy faction. Faction champions use an AI that simulates player behavior. Mobs will jump around, go LoS, polymorph you and then run away. The current location of faction champions is displayed on the map and they won't hesitate to attack you even if you're in combat killing off other mobs. It was fun to see NPCs behave like actual players, well done Blizzard!
      PvP Mode
The mode has not been tested yet on Alpha, but I assume that faction champions are going to be replaced by three actual players.
Team compositions do not really matter, because there are six consumables to help you out on your adventures. You can queue alone or as a party.
Item Name Effect Description Bloom Shroom Bloom Creates an area that increases damage and heals over time when entered. Grapeshot Grenade Grapeshot Blast Throw a grenade at your foes! BOOM! Hidden Cannon Point Blank Shot Deals frontal cone damage to attackers. Root Ball Unleashed Roots Can be used to root enemies for 30 seconds. Not usable on faction champions. Thornberry Thornberry Adds a healing & damage effect for 10 minutes. Trick Vest Trick Vest Gain an absorbtion shield and deal damage upon expiration. The consumables can be purchased from Moof and Zuna at the Port of Zandalar for gold, but will cost Seafarer's Doubloons in a future build according to Muffinus.

Seafarer's Doubloons will show up on Expeditions.

      Update Post!

I will update this post as things progress. Thank you for your feedback!

3/20 - These changes will be in the next build: - Creatures no longer increase in Azerite over time, but are worth more in general.
      - Players and Advanced NPCs gain Azerite Residue slower
      - Updated abilities for Azerite-based elementals
      - New abilities for several humanoid groups
      - Normal difficulty tuning (generally, things will be easier, and the AI is less aggressive)
      - AI NPCs should jump around less
      - Updated Azerite visuals all around
      - Azerite Energy no longer stacks
      - Consumables available at your docks now cost Seafarer's Dubloons
      - Seafarer's Dubloons can now show up on Expeditions
      - Each faction's ship captain will now order a cannon barrage on enemies that come too near.
      - New weather effects have been added to elemental invasions. The items are bound to Blizzard account. Apart from the consumables listed above, powerful buffs can be gained during Island Expeditions from various sources such as shrines.
Here's an overview of Island Expeditions. Do note that the video was taken before the changes announced by Jeremy Feasel and we're going to release an update as soon as more Islands are enabled for testing. The difficulty in the video is Heroic.

Blizzard's working on a hotfix for Season 6 Elite Ensembles to make them available to players.
The general Elite Ensembles policy is not to add them to vendors, until the Ensemble isn't the current skin. Legion Season 5, 6 gear shares models with Season 7 gear and players would need to wait until Battle for Azeroth to get their hands on the appearance, even though they achieved Elite in the past PvP Seasons. The team acknowledged the issue and wants to push a hotfix to live servers soon.
      Blizzard (Source)
      Hey All -

I am posting this here instead of the arena forums for visibility. PvP gear in legion has been a sore spot for the whole expansion, but season 6 has kind of been the culmination, since it was staggered with a raid release (making pvp gear ilevels dramatically below comparable pve content; ironic since the only thing that matters in a pvp instance is ilevel), and it shares elite set appearance with S7, which will last until BFA pre-patch.  The issue at hand now, at season end, is the elite ensembles. Their stated policy is that they do not release the ensembles to vendors until the ensemble is no longer the current skin. Since S7 ensembles will be the same as S5/6 ensembles, they're not going to be released to the vendors to be buyable by those who achieved s5/6 elite. This is frustrating for a lot of us, because that means we will not have access to our rewards until the expansion is virtually over. It would be less frustrating if the elite sets were less RNG and generally more attainable during a season, but..
2k is duelist range (top 3% of a bracket that is ~60k players) for at least 12/16 weeks of the season. It doesn't become accessible for rivals (top 10% of the bracket) until the last month or so once the season has gone long enough and rating has inflated to that point. Random drops over 2k are not elite 9 of the possible 17 slot pieces that can drop in your guaranteed elite weekly (once you're over 2k) are not visible set pieces, making it possible to be 2k+ for an entire season and still never complete your set because of unlucky rng. (some of the people on the front page of the pvp leaderboard still don't have the full set) In previous expansions where gear was bought with currency, people could save currency and purchase entire sets when they hit the rating required for that set. IMO, releasing the set at the end of the season to those who hit the cutoff should be the compromise to alleviate that. However, their stated intent is to not release them in this way while they're still current drops so that there is an exclusive reward for people playing in the next season, since they're the same skin. IMO, that is unsatisfactory. Exclusive rewards are great, but if that's going to be the mentality, each season needs to have its own set. At least a recolor. The system was poorly thought out from the get-go, and the players should not be punished for it.
Looking into this guys! Thanks for the feedback, however please do not jump into other threads and derail them as that is something that is against the Code of Conduct. We've been seeing this post throughout the morning and have been tracking it. While we don't have an answer to really give you guys at the moment, we are actively speaking with development and will share any information that we get when we can.
Hey guys! We've spoken to the development team and we're currently planning to release the ensembles sooner rather than later via a hotfix. We don't have an exact timeline just yet of when this will happen, but its something we will hopefully have out sooner than the end of the season.
Agreed when the timeline is known will please be able to inform us?
We have a generalized timeline right now internally but its met with the usual caveats of development. The hotfix has to be created, then tested, then pushed to the live servers, and verified that it does work. So Development and QA have to find room to squeeze this in an already full schedule.

We don't like giving timelines unless we're 110% sure because literally anything can happen. i.e. hotfix doesn't work, schedules shift around etc.

      TL;DR: Soon™ is a real thing sometimes!

Legion's final PvP Season 7 is now live and Gladiators can collect the final storm dragon mount before moving to proto-drakes in Battle for Azeroth.
Demonic Gladiator's Storm Dragon will be rewarded to all Gladiators at the end of Season 7.

Season 6 rewards will be distributed two weeks from now. Blizzard is also working on a hotfix for Elite Ensembles.
      Blizzard (Source)
Legion PvP season 7 is here. The Arenas and Battlegrounds are ready to host all contenders and the new Battleground, Seething Shore, has been added to the Rated Battleground queue.
If you participated in Season 6, to ensure you receive the rewards that you’re due, please keep the following in mind:
Refrain from transferring your character(s) to another realm or faction until after Legion Season 6 has ended. Legion Season 6 titles and mounts will be awarded approximately two weeks after the season ends. FACTION-BASED REWARDS
Don’t forget—end-of-season rewards are based on your faction. If you transfer your character to the other faction, you must have 50 wins after your transfer to receive the reward.  Please note that you must have 150 wins after a faction transfer for Gladiator and Dominant Gladiator.
      The Arenas and Battlegrounds await!
