Will Starcraft 2 run on my computer?

It's always exciting playing a new game, but it can be tough working out whether or not it will be an enjoyable investment if you don't even know if it will run on your computer!

Below are the minimum system requirements for Windows PCs:

Operating System	Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 10
Processor	Intel Core 2 Duo / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
Video	NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT / ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT / Intel HD Graphics 3000
Memory	2 GB RAM
Storage	30 GB available
Resolution	1024 x 768

If you're planning to play on a Mac, you'll want to check out these minimum requirements instead:

Operating System	OS X 10.11
Processor	Intel Core 2 Duo
Video	NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M / ATI Radeon HD 4670
Memory	4 GB RAM
Storage	30 GB available
Resolution	1024 x 768

While these will not provide a perfect experience, the above listed requirements will allow the game to run. If you want to try and meet the recommended requirements, there are upgrades required for the operating system, processor and video sections. 

For Windows, the recommended specs are:

Operating System	Windows 10 64-bit
Processor	Intel Core i5 or AMD FX Series Processor
Video	NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 or AMD Radeon HD 7790
Memory	4 GB RAM

For Mac, the recommended specs are:

Operating System	macOS 10.13
Processor	Intel Core i5
Video	NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M / AMD Radeon HD 6970
Memory	8 GB RAM

Note that the recommended specs are not an exact target - if you have something better than what is recommended, the game will definitely run more smoothly. They are just a target for experiencing the game at a level where Blizzard feels is "recommended".
