Happy four year anniversary since the release of Reaper of Souls! The first and only expansion for Diablo 3, it was preceded by about a month by Patch 2.0, which changed a number of gameplay systems in Diablo 3 like Loot 2.0, Paragon 2.0, Difficulty System Rework. The Reaper of Souls then arrived in Sanctuary as Malthael captured the Black Soulstone, becoming the Aspect of Death. The expansion brought:

  • A new class, the stalwart Crusader
  • Level cap raised to 70
  • New items/powers only for level 61+ characters.
  • Act V - Westmarch, Blood Marsh, and Battlefields of Eternity as some of the main locations
  • Adventure Mode - Bounties, Nephalem Rifts
  • The Mystic - Enchanting and Transmogrification
  • Kadala and Blood Shard Gambling - The greatest evil of them all

With that being said, we’re here to remember all the changes that have come to Diablo 3 since release, whether it was the introduction of the Infernal Machine, Brawling, Legendary Gems, or the removal of the Auction House, Invulnerable Minions, or the rework of Crafting Materials, Bounties, or Reflect affix.

We’ve got 20 Diablo velcro patches to give out. They were given out at BlizzCon 2017 for playing the Diablo demo. To be eligible to win, just post a top-level comment below with your favorite (or least favorite) change that has come to Diablo 3. If you need a refresher on all the changes, check out the condensed patch notes.

Some additional rules:

  • You can only enter once.
  • Your reddit account must be at least one month old by the time of this posting (i.e. created before February 25, 2018).
  • All countries are eligible, although I’ll be shipping from the US, so it may take some to get to some parts of the world.
  • Winners will be chosen randomly.
  • Contest ends on April 1st, 11:59 PM PDT.

Quote : "First and ONLY expansion for Diablo 3".

I love this. They´ve been hiring more people for a new Diablo game, either a new expansion or a new game. and it looks like, of what we can take from this, diablo 4.

They´ve been hiring new people for something abit more then just another console port. Level Design, Lead Producer and even more. The fact that they didnt show any Diablo content at the previous Blizzcon that was during November 2017 is also a strong indicator that they´re working on something abit more then say a console port which they could have just said they were going to do. This is either a new Diablo game or an Expansion. But as I said before, they "kinda" said Reaper of Souls was the only Expansion for Diablo 3. People are hoping for Diablo 4 or another "Type" of Diablo game such as an MMO or the like.

I was only joking. I indeed would guess it will be more / different! but it's always better not to over expect to not be disappointed!

Worst change - WD is now a bust. Nerfed the ROE ring, same builds still on top and I literally just watched a UE DH level in 7 days to clear higher rifts than Necros leveling since day one of season. The demon hunters and monk builds, wizards included, the same thing as usual.

It sucks. Pet builds are rough these days and why? I miss my druids from D2 just because of this.

Best time for me ever....always in May for gobs and celebrating the anniversary of D3. :)

I'm not sure I understand - you're saying WD is a bust, but it's capable of clearing 125+ in a 4-man group pretty comfortably. Yeah, it's better with a Wizard, but that's still a better GR rank than almost every player will achieve.

Your point about UE DHs doesn't really make sense - you're saying that in 7 days a UE can clear a higher GR than a Necro since the start of the season, yet the top Necro clear is 7 GR levels higher than the top DH one, which isn't even UE, it's Nats/Maurader.

If you're looking for a pet build that works well, why not try Rathma Necro? It's outstandingly powerful and excellent in all forms of pushing, whether solo or group. It's also "meta" in the Rathma speeds.

As some expected, Diablo 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch later this year. There was a bit of a leak today, as Forbes published an article that was scheduled for release tomorrow and then quickly took it down, but Kotaku caught the leak.
Unfortunately this is probably one of the "several Diablo projects" Nevalistis mentioned in a teasing tweet a while ago, so it remains to be seen what else exactly we have to look forward to in the franchise and if there will be any significant new announcements at BlizzCon.
Meanwhile, the Switch edition, already released under the Eternal Collection for other platforms, will cost $59,99 and include all current content, meaning Reaper of Souls, Rise of the Necromancer and all other patches released so far, as well as a (presumably exclusive) armor set that looks like Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda. As appropriate for the Switch, the game will also have many co-op options, from 4 players playing on the same console, to each player playing on a separate Switch but without needing to be online, and then of course, a regular online mode.
Also, this is the first Blizzard game in 15 years to arrive on a Nintendo platform (with the last one being the "Blizzard's Classic Arcade" pack for the Gameboy Advance, including Rock 'n' Roll Racing, Blackthorne and Lost Vikings).
We'll get the official announcement tomorrow (presumably) and hopefully we'll get to see the Gangondorf armor look then.

Thanks to MMOChampion for catching the news.

Yesterday's leak proved correct and we now have all the info regarding the Diablo 3 Switch port! There's more cosmetics to be had in addition to the Ganondorf transmog, including wings, a portrait frame and Cucco pet!
And we can now finally see the Zelda themed transmog set, pet and portrait frame:

      And the aforementioned co-op functionality:

Check out the full details on the official page.
The Switch port brings a new pet, transmog and portrait frame, as well as impressive co-op options.

Blizzard confirmed they're working on multiple new Diablo projects and they will share more details later this year (probably at BlizzCon).
In the latest video about Diablo released on Youtube, Associate Community Manager Brandy "Nevalistis" Camel confirmed that the team's working on more Diablo projects and they'll have more information to share later this year. She also briefly mentions Themed Seasons and it's likely they'll come up with a new theme for Season 15.

Don't miss out on your chance to grab one!
The only thing more elusive than a Rainbow Goblin in game is a Rainbow Goblin in real life, but here's your chance to grab one!
To celebrate the Season of Greed, we are releasing a robust and thorough Goblin farming guide for your murderous, loot-craving pleasure! It will take you through a tried-and-tested goblin farming route, suggest some suitable builds and equipment adjustments for the purpose, and even shed some light on goblin farming metagame and etiquette.
But enough talk - it's your turn to take blade and spell to their mischievous hides! While using our route (or your own!), take a screenshot with your Season 14 character and a double goblin spawn - and post it in the comments below. Your post will act as an entry in a random raffle to win one of the 20 plush toys we will be giving away.

For the general rules of our giveaways, please refer to this post. The post-specific rules for this giveaway are as follows:
You need to be on a Seasonal character. Make sure we can see your character and the goblins in the screenshot. (Console players, do your best with the pause screen, if necessary - we understand it is slightly more difficult to do this than on PC.) The giveaway will end on July 2, 2018 at 23:59 CEST. Multiple entries will be disqualified. Winners will be chosen at random after the contest ends. Grab your guide, grab your nephalem and get finding! You might even be lucky enough to find a Rainbow Goblin in-game and outside - as Abd Al-Hazir put it - a ludicrous notion, truly!
This contest has now ended - winners will be contacted via PM once we have filtered spam entries, multiple entries and so on. Please note that this can take some time, but we will post here once everyone has been contacted.
