Heroic Uldir Boss Previews: MOTHER & Vectis

Recommended Posts

35aLXlz.jpg

FatbossTV released previews of two Uldir bosses that have been recently tested on Heroic difficulty on Battle for Azeroth Beta.

Seven Uldir bosses have been tested so far (all except G'huun).

MOTHER (Matron of Tenacity, Herald of Endless Research)

MOTHER is the second encounter in Uldir. Players must be cleansed of corruption to proceed with the third boss.

MOTHER will not allow adventurers into Uldir until they have been cleansed of corruption. First, they must pass through her decontamination chamber.

Vectis

The boss was previously named "Blood of G'huun and it's the fifth boss of the raid. The encounter consists of two phases.

A sample of G'huun's blood, animated and run amok. Considered by the Titans to be an infection capable of killing every living thing on Azeroth, its primary disease strain was dubbed the Omega Vector.

This does include the races from before the Curse of Flesh, right? Because the titans gave this description to this Vectis before Curse of Flesh was even a thing? Wouldn't that mean that it could consume/infect Azeroth itself, considering "living things" from before the Curse of Flesh were both stone, metals (iron for example) and other elements like ice?

I mean, we're not talking specifically about venom, so it might not need a blood stream to infect living things. I understand this is simply a description given by Blizzard, but it's some food for thought, no?

And what does its infection do, exactly? If this is just a "small" part of "G'huun", I wonder how powerful G'huun would have been (Or still is?). If it causes hallucinogens, who knows, perhaps that's what started the entire chain of events leading into BfA.

I'm way overthinking this, am I not?

Maybe, but that's the fun of Alpha/Beta/Pre-events. You make wild guesses, throwing darts at a dartboard, and see what sticks. Definitely a possible explanation for why Sylv went crazy.
