The Final Magni Silithus Quest Is Here! Artifact Levels Raised to 126

Recommended Posts

omYtqjW.jpg

The day has come to sacrifice our artifacts (or rather their "stability") to save Azeroth from the influence of Sargeras' sword! There's a new quest in Silithus, the last in the Magni chain, where we'll be channeling the power of our artifacts into the sword and be getting a little buff for it (at least those of us under artifact level 126). After the deed is done our weapons will become "unstable" and be buffed to level 126 (or stay at the current level if it's higher), with even higher increases coming in the following weeks.

Artifact Power tokens can now also be sold to vendors, as they can no longer be used to power your weapons.

Blizzard LogoArtifact Power (source 1, 2, 3)

Just some clarification on this one but yes there should be a quest called "The Speaker's Call" that should begin the Artifact Weapon Overcharge. You will need to complete the prerequisite Magni quests in order to receive "The Speaker's Call". When you complete this it should overcharge your artifact up to Artifact Level 126 which puts you at 75 Concordance. All of the existing traits will function until the pre patch.

Take advantage of the overcharge and go take on things like the Mage Tower, Ahead of the Curve: Argus, and The Chosen that are removed when the prepatch goes live soon™. Also don't forget the usual Mythic mount drop chances that will be lowered from their guaranteed 100% when Battle for Azeroth goes live!

If I'm higher than Artifact Level 126 and I do the quest, will I actually lose power?
It should only affect Artifacts that are below that value. So if you're above Concordance 75 it should keep you at that Concordance value. However you might notice it jump up in a week or two

This just simply upon completion moves everyone to Concordance 75 and then next week another bump, and then another. You get the picture.

TL;DR: Smash everything.

Does it affect all specs or just one spec per toon?
All specs for that character upon completion of the quest.

And here's the official post about the questline, as well as a roundup of all the things to finish up before the pre-patch.

Blizzard LogoThe Speaker's Call (source)

It won’t be long before the Battle for Azeroth consumes the world, and the clock is ticking on several activities and rewards in World of Warcraft: Legion.

Heed the Speaker’s Call

Silithus has become a hive of activity following the wounding of Azeroth by Sargeras’ sword. The Azerite seeping up to the surface has captured the attention of both the Horde and the Alliance, and a deadly race has begun to collect as much of this new resource as possible. While these two factions focus on a future of war, Magni Bronzebeard has turned his attention to finding a solution to Azeroth’s plight.

Magni is putting out a call to heroes from every corner of the world to gather once more in Silithus. There, you’ll need to use the power of your Artifact weapon to draw out the darkness from Sargeras’ sword and help stabilize Azeroth’s grievous wounds. There’s a price to be paid, however, and you’ll find that once you’ve lent your aid, your Artifact weapon will become a little unstable. But with this instability comes a temporary boost in power . . . which will, perhaps a bit ominously, continue ramp up over time.

Once the Battle for Azeroth pre-expansion patch (aka pre-patch) arrives closer to launch, Artifact weapon traits will no longer function —but there’s a new power waiting to be gained, if Magni has anything to say about it.

Earn Your Mage Tower Artifact Appearance

If you haven’t yet earned your Artifact Challenge appearances for your class, you still have time. To help aid you on your quest, the Mage Tower on the Broken Shore will offer the quest 24/7 from now until the release of the pre-patch.

To get started on your classes’ Artifact Challenge appearance quest, you’ll need to visit War Councilor Victoria at Deliverance Point on the Broken Shore. The first time you take on the challenge is still free, but it will cost you Nethershards for each following attempt.

Once the Artifact Challenge quest is no longer available, if you’ve earned the base challenge appearance for your class specialization, you’ll be able to continue earning the three alternate tints for that specialization’s Artifact at any point thereafter.

To gain access to the Artifact Challenge quest, you’ll need to be level 110, have earned all 35 Artifact Levels for your weapon, and have completed the quest line to unlock access to the four new traits that became available with Patch 7.2.

Ahead of the Curve

With the arrival of the Battle for Azeroth pre-expansion patch, two time-limited Feats of Strength will no longer be obtainable—Ahead of the Curve: Argus the Unmaker and Cutting Edge: Argus the Unmaker, which charge heroes with defeating the final boss of Antorus, the Burning Throne in Heroic or Mythic difficulty respectively.

Once Battle for Azeroth goes live on August 14, the Violet Spellwing mount for completing the Blood of a Titan quest (defeat Argus the Unmaker on Heroic difficulty or higher) will also no longer be available—but if you’re interested in earning it before then, you can get a little help from your friends in the community. Keep an eye on the in-game Group Finder (I) or look for community-run groups like Friendship Birb or Perky Pugs.

First Aid No More!

With the upcoming systems changes in the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch, we’re making some additional changes to professions, including removing First Aid as a secondary profession. Any achievements earned prior to then will become Feats of Strength, providing you one more feather in your proverbial cap and the bragging rights to say  “back in my day” and really own it. If you just can’t survive without a roll of bandages, don’t worry. Your friendly neighborhood tailor will be able to keep you covered.

Are You One of the Demonic Elite?

It won’t be long until Legion Season 7 ends, and with it the opportunity to earn the Demonic Elite achievement and the PvP-only Elite transmog. Once the season ends, the achievement will become a Feat of Strength. Keep an eye out here on the official site for more information on the end of the season.

Cool, after I didn't play for more than a half year I have only 77 so ready for free boost!

it's not much though, I got about 10% extra dmg and 5% more health going from concordance 26 to 75. might be more meaningful with worse gear though since concordance doesn't scale.

Ill translate:

Well, it should. Its not guaranteed it does. In the world of randomness it can happen that you will be scaled down to concordance 1. So finish the quest and see what you get. ?

Mhh i think i'll wait that "week or two" ?

Given I've not touched  the summon to Stormwind/Oggrimar quest, on any char (of 16 110's...) will there be a "skip this I've seen it, show my giving my weapon up" button soon?

Just did it all on main and 1 alt and just tedious...

We have a Crest switch fix and weekly maximum increase, as well as a quest fix in retail, the big class tuning pass for Season of Discovery, and more in today's hotfixes.
      April 23 (Source)
      Items
Season 3 (Dreaming) crests are now correctly removed from players' currency tabs. Players have received a small amount of gold for their unused Dreaming Crests. Players can now earn up to 120 crests of each type per week in Dragonflight Season 4 (was a maximum of 90 per week in Season 3). This will allow for up to 8 upgrades per week, per crest type (was 6 in Season 3). Developers' notes: For players who don't reach their maximum crest earnings in a given week, we've implemented the increasing-seasonal-cap system from previous seasons. Please note that this increase is likely applicable to Season 4 only. We expect the weekly maximum to return to 90 for The War Within Season One. Quests
Resolved an issue where abandoning the quest "Something Worth Celebrating" could make it unavailable. Cataclysm Classic
The dates for Children’s Week have been adjusted so that the holiday begins and ends three days later than previously scheduled. Season of Discovery
Players who have completed the quest "Warranty Claim" but have misplaced their Pristine G-7 C.O.R.E. Processor before handing in the quest "Salvaging the Salvagematic" may now speak with the Lost and Found vendor Rix Xizzix in Booty Bay to recover the misplaced quest item. Fixed a Sunken Temple issue where the Atal'ai Defenders encounter would not reset properly. Druid The Natural Weapons talents now increases all damage done by druids in Season of Discovery, instead of just physical damage. The Gale Winds rune now reduces the mana cost of Hurricane by 60%. Swiftmend no longer consumes a Rejuvenation or Regrowth effect on the target when used. Developers’ notes: Please note that it does still require Rejuvenation or Regrowth to be on the target to be used. Hunter Rapid Killing now reduces the cooldown of Rapid Fire by 80% (was a reduction of 2 minutes). Chimera Shot weapon damage percent increased to 135% (was 120%). Explosive Shot base damage before attack power increased by 50%. Sniper Training has an additional new effect: while Sniper Training is at 5 stacks, Aimed Shot is instant. Serpent Spread now causes Multi-shot to apply Serpent Sting to its targets for 12 seconds (was 6 seconds). Steady Shot now deals 100% weapon damage (was 75%). Developers’ notes: There are more adjustments coming for Hunters. In general, we intend to improve the ranged playstyle and diminish the melee playstyle so that the two become more equivalent. Paladin Seal of Righteousness damage can now be critical hits. Sacred Shield’s duration is extended to 60 seconds (was 30 seconds). Crusader Strike has now gained an additional effect: Crusader strike now refreshes all judgement effects active on the target to a 30 second remaining duration. Seal of Martyrdom can now “twist” with other seals, including Seal of Command. Developers’ notes: Seal twisting was an interesting emergent effect that became popular during the original Burning Crusade, that utilized the slower server messaging system used in early versions of WoW to slightly extend the duration of the paladin’s active seal for a short time whenever a second seal was cast. This effectively allowed paladins to momentarily gain the benefit of two seals at once if they timed the application of a new seal to line up perfectly just before their weapon swing. We recreated this playstyle in Burning Crusade Classic and since then it’s been a popular request in other versions of original WoW, including Season of Discovery. As the game matures and we continue to listen to player feedback however, we recognize that for some, this is part of the charm and uniqueness of playing a paladin during those early eras of WoW’s history. We consider this change to be experimental and we will watch the performance and behavior of Retribution closely after this change. Priest Shadowform now increases all shadow damage done by 25% (was 15%). Rogue Saber Slash bleed now stacks up to 5 times. Saber Slash bleed now also increases the impact damage done by Sinister Strike and Saber Slash by 15% per stack for the rogue who applied the bleed. Saber Slash bleed now deals 3% of the rogue’s Attack Power in damage per tick (was 5%). Shaman Mental Dexterity now only triggers from dealing damage with Stormstrike and Lava Lash, and it now lasts 30 seconds (was 10 seconds). Burn now increases Flame Shock Damage by 100% and flame shock DoT duration by 6 seconds, and causes Flame Shock to strike up to 5 targets (was 3 targets). Developers’ notes: We’ve received a lot of feedback about the overall usability of mental dexterity, particularly for Elemental Shamans. This ability was not intended to be used by elemental, so the adjustments we’ve made are to help ensure its usage is a bit more enhancement-centric. To compensate, we’ve increased the output and usability of the Burn rune, with a slight quality-of-life improvement in the form of a Flame Shock duration increase which allows two Lava Burst casts to be used within a single Flame Shock duration.
