You can dual wield fish maces in Battle for Azeroth. Wait, what?

Stinkrot SmasherStinkrot Smasher is a new 1-Hand Mace that's currently listed as a world drop on Beta. It's BoE, so if RNG is not in your favor, you'll still be able to buy it off the Auction House.

Physics of the fish mace is simply amazing... BEHOLD! Hopefully, we'll be able to use it for transmog!

"We don't want people to transmog their weapons into fish because that's just silly." - Blizzard back when they introduced Transmogrification and blocked fish from being a transmog option.

Sounds like Blizzard logic to me.

They just waited some years, until they had a fish model good enough, to be worthy of us to wield.

A new mentor system was added in the pre-patch, allowing players to become mentors and help new players answer questions in the Newcomer Chat, but some have already started to abuse it for advertising...
Ads for boost services have begun surfacing in the Newcomer Chat.
A report on the official forums claims, "new players" hidden under the Murloc icon have started advertising in the channel. Apparently, it's easy for sellers to get the icon and access to the channel.

The worst part is you can't even report the offenders.

There's no report player option in the Newcomer Chat.
A similar thread appeared a few days ago on Reddit.
The Newcomer Chat is cross-server, which is why Blizzard should definitely do something about advertising.

In this post, we're looking at why Legion is the hands down the best expansion for leveling through Chromie Time in the Shadowlands pre-patch if you haven't played it before.
      Class Order Halls
Each class has its own themed Class Order Hall available in Legion, and with it come class-specific questlines and plenty of rewards for you to unlock.

      Artifact Weapons and Appearances
Each class can unlock their own specialization-themed artifact weapon appearances that you can later use for transmog.
Blizzard has relaxed Artifact weapon transmog restrictions in the pre-patch. If you haven't unlocked them yet and want to wield legendary weapons like the Ashbringer, make sure to complete the associated questlines.

You can dual wield the same Artifacts, and the appearances are no longer locked to certain specializations.
You can even unlock additional appearances for each Artifact weapon, except for the Mage Tower and Mythic Keystone 15 appearances that have been removed.

      Allied Races
Blizzard started adding Allied Races in Legion. Even though you no longer need to be Exalted with the associated faction, you must still complete the quests to unlock the Allied Races.
Alliance can unlock the Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves. Horde players can unlock the Nightborne and Highmountain Tauren through Legion content.

      Class Mounts
Finally, you can unlock class mounts through a questline, but this will take some time as your character needs to earn the Breaching the Tomb achievement, and the Broken Shore is intended for the 40-50 range.

Lockboxes underwent some changes in the Shadowlands pre-patch, and Sharken highlighted all the major ones.
The item level of the loot found inside lockboxes is determined by the person opening the lockbox. If a person looks at what's inside but doesn't loot the items and trades the lockbox to another character of a different level, the loot inside stays the same, but the item level/level changes depending on the new person opening it. Gold inside a lockbox is static and does not scale with level. The person who unlocked the lockbox does not affect the contents of the lockbox. The level of all lockboxes stops at level 50 and will no longer increase vendor value when a level 51-60 character opens the lockbox. So the idea is to pass the lockbox to your level 50 character for maximum rewards.

We're back with more pre-patch weirdness, this time of the Warlock variety. It seems Doomguards are getting extremely confused by the Warlock summons and aren't really sure which side they're on anymore, which apparently makes then so crazy that they just go ahead and one-shot whatever dungeons they're in.
First off we have RelieveMyself, who noted the weirdness first, as he summoned the Doomguard regularly, it fought along side him a while, at which point he dismissed it to enslave again. Except that didn't quite work as the demon was "friendly", except it was clearly marked red. The Doomguard then proceeded to follow the party and wipe out everything in the dungeon, including he boss!

      Source.
The whole incident was accompanied by lag spikes and RelieveMyself wasn't able to reproduce the issue. So, you'd think that was that, a simple one-off glitch. But this actually wasn't an isolated incident, as other players have been having a similar issue/awesome event occur (click the image to start the video):
So clearly the issue is scaling, with the hostile/friendly thing from the first example being just a weird bug on top of the scaling issues. This doesn't work for everyone, however, as the scaling only goes crazy under some specific circumstances, but it's still fun to see the Doomguard rampage around and solo dungeons!

It's time for another look at how the squish and class changes affected class popularity, as we examine tanks and approximate their popularity based on interest in the Icy Veins pre-patch guides!
Starting at the bottom, it's become increasingly clear that Blizzard needs to focus a lot of energy on Monks when Shadowlands comes around, as all three specs of the class are at or around the bottom of their role lists. Tank mainstay Prot Warr is surprisingly also low but considering they didn't receive that many changes, it makes sense. The top 3 consists of Blood DK, Prot Pala, and Vengenace DH, which also probably isn't that surprising considering the extreme solo power of those specs.
      1. Blood Death Knight 2. Protection Paladin 3. Vengeance Demon Hunter 4. Protection Warrior 5. Guardian Druid 6. Brewmaster Monk You can also check out the DPS popularity charts, the healer popularity charts, and the Day 1 DPS chart.
