Updated: WF Level 120 Already Done, in Under 5 Hours!

Update: Gingi has removed the VoD of the leveling experience due to some problematic content in the video, but will be posting an edited version of the entire leveling experience to youtube soon. Here's his tweet on the subject and you can still watch the whole experience through Deepshades',and Meeres' PoVs.

________________________________________________________________

Well, this was quite insane. It seems Method's Gingi decided to one-up his fellow teammate Fragnance, who got the WF level 110 in Legion in 5 and a half hours. Well, it took Gingi, or rather Luigingi, 4 hours and 17 or so minutes to finish up Battle for Azeroth's leveling, in a team of three, along with Method's Meeres and Deepshades, using his boomkin:

If you want to see how exactly he did it, you can check out his full leveling video, but it seems they just went for really REALLY fast questing (obviously tested on beta) with no special shenanigans involved (at least that I could find at first glance):

Obviously, Deepshades and Meeres dinged very quickly after Gingi, and here are their full streams of the leveling process as well, linked to the final minute - Deepshades, Meeres.

And some thanks from the WF Gingi himself:

How do you kill that which has no life?

Yesterday night I went to sleep because I need to work next day, woke up and found people already max level. Hopefully I won't be ganked while leveling in Warmode.

I hear its about 12 hours for an average player to solo to max level while reading quests. It is going to take about 2-3 weeks of just playing after work hours to get all classes to max level.

Going to use Azeroth Auto Pilot to level (Disable all the auto skip stuff for first time play through).

Gratz to him but I don't understand this.

I'm going to enjoy all the new stuff and read the quest text and take it all in.

Won't get this chance again for another 2 years.

"World First"-players already experienced their first play-through of all the quests during the Alpha/Beta testing, which is why they were able to create their leveling route.

Other people power-leveling is either not interested  in lore, or will do it with their alts.

War Mode uses scaling. So a fresh 120 is likely to get steamrolled if you have end content Legion gear iirc.

Okay, but the only real impressive part about this is the fact he was able to do it while the launch was an absolute mess. Anyone can sit and rush through stuff. It's not like this was a solo raid or anything like that.

12? I have now 11 hrs 16 mins with boosted rogue and I'm only 116 (okay, maybe around - half hr was the Battle for Lordaeron skirmish. Now 1 completed questline (Vol'dun) and one half (Nazir). I think will be around 24 played hrs to get done with all main quests.

I am 4 bars into 118 at 12 hours (non-stop questing with 3 dungeons), having only watched a couple short cinematics, and don't read any quests. I would say 16 hours would be about right.

I wouldn't worry about war mode. You way overpower most 120 toons until your legos are useless, and the scaling is still pretty close after that. Groups being A-holes will be another thing altogether though.

Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has confirmed that the Dracthyr race will have more class options in The War Within. However, this feature may not be ready in time for the expansion's launch.
This update was highlighted in a tweet by MrGM, who shared insights from a London content creator interview about the Dracthyr.
The plan is to introduce the ability for Dracthyr to play as other classes in War Within. Emphasis on playing in Visage form. Required animations for other classes are actively being worked on. The implementation is unlikely to happen at launch, but targeted for early in the expansion cycle. Placeholder for tweet 1780748422066188399
